Cute puppy❣️ It’s great that the indie pattern makers are filling the giant void left by the big 4. Agree that they have the basics well covered and it’s time for some to get a bit adventurous, maybe even something a little avant-garde. Especially for those who have subscription clubs. It’s great you included items dropped at this time, rather than strictly seasonal, those of us in the southern hemisphere are going from spring into summer. Fabulous work, thanks for sharing.
Hi Aaronica! I loved the puppy moment at the end. I can always use a puppy moment in the day. Patterns I am thinking about style arc delphine, itch to stitch teifi, sew like panini pleated shirt, seamwork Noah trouser, and true bias lander pant. Love them all. Thank you for sharing all these.❤❤❤❤❤. Took your class recently and working my Black Friday shopping list to get my project setup so I can move into pdf. So many indie are pdf and printing (home or shop) printing is expensive. It’s all coming together! Again thank you for the patterns and puppy time
The Style Arc patterns definitely caught my eye. I've never heard of them before, so thanks! Also, I'd be curious to hear your thoughts (both as a sewist and a pattern designer) about the increasing number of pattern subscriptions. Between patterns only available through Patreon memberships and monthly clubs directly through a brand's website, it seems like a growing trend in the indie space.
I've sewn at least one Itch to Stitch pattern (Causeway Bomber) and I really enjoyed it! Very clear instructions with lots of visual assistance. Definitely have some new patterns to take a closer look at after this!
Thank you for the vlog it was fab! I did start to watch your other one but then because there were no pictures to show what you were describing what you were talking about I didn't watch all of it because it lacked context. I totally get you are a busy Mumma 😊 though ♥️ Congratulations on releasing your shirt pattern 😊 it looks amazing! 😍
Sometimes it’s hard to find images for what I’m referencing because I’m specifically looking for plus sized bodies to show what it looks like and then I can’t find them.
I think style and innovation-wise I am still waiting/looking for the "Vogue Patterns" of plus size sewing pattern design. Style Arc and Elbe Textiles probably come closest (Mood Sewciety too, but don't like to include because of all the problems you mentioned)? It's not that there were no interesting patterns at all (I am excited about Paper Theory Ray, Tiana Herring's Juniper, Sew Like Panini) but I'm still looking . Plus the river of basics makes the style of all the pattern designers/companies blend into each other when they started with pretty distinctive silhouettes.
1000% agree regarding “dupes” patterns of current RTW styles. Long tradition in home sewing of making beautiful custom clothes at home that reflect current styles. I guess that, in the hands of talented home sewists, the final home sewn garments reflect far more than 10% deviation from designer style. To say that talented home sewists are rip off artists just like fast fashion manufacturers is insulting and intolerant. There, I said it. Little more spice than I expected from me at 8:45am.
@@mel_issa__ Also the new skirt pattern is verrry similar to a vintage 70s pattern Vogue 8325. The patch pocket is different and it comes in 5 styles. Hard to find, but seems like the inspo for their design.
@ronicalovely3407 ohhhh good eye! I'm in Europe, sadly we don't have much access to big 4 patterns. Simplicity and Know Me have pdf and more inclusive sizes though!
I made the basalt top and while I like the style I will be honest. Their collar construction was not great. I have made multiple items with a collar and a stand but this one I am not proud of. I left off the back pleats and I like the swing to it.
Style Arc started a sale today.... :)
Ohhhh thanks for this info!
@@AaronicaBColeCo Thank YOU for the fun video! ✂️❤️✂️❤️
Thank you! You can help Joann clear all that fleece by making various snuffle/activity mats and braided tog toys for your puppy
This morning I made him a little braided tug toy because of this suggestion!
Your puppy is so cute! I really love these plus size pattern roundups. ❤
Thank you! 😊
I feel like I’m getting the hang of them!
Elizabeth Suzann❤ when she released her patterns for free during the panini, I was lucky enough to grab them and have lived in her Harper Tunic since.
Oh man! So it’s me tardy for the party!
Cute puppy❣️

Really enjoyed the video - 'it's giving 'the cold doesn't bother me anyway' had me howling 😂

Oh yay!!!! I can’t wait to see what you create once you’re all set up!

You are so welcome 🤗
Thank you for your size inclusive video. I didn’t hear about many of these company
You are so welcome! Happy that there were some new to you!

I couldn’t have said it better myself.
Love alot of these patterns. Thanks for the vid and putting this together!
Me too! Thank you!

I’m fully subscribed to this early morning spice!!!!
Hey sewster ...pen and paper ready ❤😊
I've joined closet core for one of their club patterns before, unsubscribed right sway. The price is about the same as a pattern.

The Tilly stocking pattern has a cost because all the proceeds are going to a children's charity in the UK for Christmas
This is a fantastic reason to have a cost!

Mmmm this is good feedback! Thank you!
Totally agree about plus sized patterns. They're boring. It's like if your body doesn't conform then you can't wear interesting or fun clothing.
Yeah. Don’t get me wrong-basics are great and very hackable but a little extra design is nice too
