- In today’s home vlog, Tim and Jackson pack for their stay at the Star Cruiser, Star Wars Hotel! We also get to see baby Oliver smiling and cooing, it was so cute! After Tim and Jackson leave for the hotel we just hang out, eat some lunch and then later get ready for bed. I hope you had fun hanging out with us and seeing what it's like on a packing day! Yeah, even with the discounts it's still really expensive. I don't know what Disney was thinking when they made the Starcruiser. If it just had been a Star Wars themed hotel, it would sell out constantly. Making it more like a cruise with set days and packages really bit them on this one I think.
Starcruiser isn't a hotel, it's a riotously overpriced dinner theater and escape room experience. I also don't know what they were thinking, because I (and it sounds like a lot of other fans) really just wanted a luxury resort with Star Wars theming and costumes.
I would be thrilled to pay $1000 or even $2000 a night for a meticulously themed SW hotel with legit high quality food, more comfortable accommodations, Michelin service, and resort amenities like a spa and pool. I have less than zero interest in paying $5k (or whatever they're charging now) for a cringey PG-rated LARP experience, eating dressed-up Applebees food and sleeping in a plastic bunk bed.
This really should not have been an Imagineer-designed pseudo-attraction. It should have been designed by an experienced Vegas hotelier, with Imagineers consulting on the theming and touchpoints. I really can't understand how WDW got this so wrong.

Star Cruiser appeals to a very small fraction of WDW vacationers. It is still far too expensive for the passive Star Wars fan, even with the discount, and die hard fans have probably already done the experience and don’t need to do it again. It will be interesting to see what they do with it in years to come.
Yeah I don’t feel like it’s something you would want to do over and over even with the different story lines. I would like to check it out but I don’t love star wars so the price is too much for me as a super casual fan
I'm a die hard fan and even with the discounts I can't see spending that much money for something that could be a much longer disney cruise for the same price or less.
Omg baby Ollie!! It made me tear up when you said how you love that he smiles at you every time you talk, because I had my first boy after two girls 9 months ago and he loves his momma so much too after two daddy’s girls!! It’s the best ❤❤❤

A bunch of the actors had videos announcing they were leaving the Starcruiser. I think burn out has to be extremely high in that environment.
As far as capacity, people just don’t have the disposable income for such a short amount of time, no matter how immersive it is. You can do a cruise for a family for that price!!

Elementary school librarian here, Bruce Swap is AMAZING. Bruce is my favorite childs book character. Mother Bruce is the first one. All are so funny. My students love them :) Another fun series is Those Darn Squirrels!

Jenn - I have to say, this video was a delight. My biggest yay (and I’m only halfway through at this point) was the behind the scenes of Tim doing an intro on the camera. The discount still isn't enough for the average family to be able to afford, unfortunately. I really hope they just turn it into a star wars themed hotel where you pay for all the extras and pay for food like a normal hotel.

There`s nothing like baby coos and smiles; my cheeks hurt from grinning so much lol! I`ll be interested to see what, if any, differences there are on the Star Cruiser this time. I think Disney may have priced themselves out with this experience. You have to be a die hard Star Wars fan (with a healthy wallet) to enjoy this, and I`m not sure how many people want to repeat the experience. No shade, just my thoughts on this.
