Just wanna say thank you for your love and support for Sabrina during this time. I’m trying to upload as consistently as possible, so thanks again for all your love ❤️
Mechanic from Germany working for an automotive company stating with *A* here: Here's a tip you might want to know about: Audi owns a website called "erWin Audi" where you can access factory repair manuals legally for a small fee. It very likely should work for the R8, and you'll find everything from wiring diagrams to regular maintenance guides as well as VERY detailed repair guides including torque specs and everything! According to the website, printing rights are included, so you could print all repair guides you might need within one day to save a bit of cash on a license.
Technopro and VGK30 there’s a thing called real oem for bms, just put in the last 7 digits of the vin and pretty much everything you need is on there! Including all part numbers etc!
@@technopro-kz4xv Sorry, I have never worked on BMWs, so I'm not sure where to find kind of information. But from my experience, calling your local dealership and asking them if BMW provides repair manuals to end-consumers might be worth a shot. And consulting online forums could propably be helpful as well. Best of luck!
Also some additional information for anyone interested in "erWin Audi": there are a couple of issues that you should be aware of. There are some issues with different browser programs, Google Chrome can be a b*tch when it comes to printing rights, but Internet Explorer worked quite well for me. Also: the standard language might be set to German at first, but it can be changed to pretty much any language you could possibly want (it can just take a bit of time to change the language as you have to change it for every category seperately). I strongly recommend that you buy an hourly access first, so that when you encounter the typical oddities of low volume industry-specific software, you have ample time to consult customer service and don't waste a whole day's license just waiting for customer service to respond. But trust me, it's worth the effort in the end, the repair guides sometimes seem easier to follow than your average Ikea manual once you come to terms with the erWin system structure, search bar and use of hyperlinks.
Try checking ECS Tuning for parts. Its strictly euros, and located in the US. I drive an Audi A4 and thats where i get all my parts, OEM and aftermarket. Im sure you can find whatever you need through them.
Jack Wilson big facts... they shipped out my order as soon as I purchased... it took ECS 3 weeks to contact me to tell me they were about to send it out. Smh 🤦🏾♂️
Thanks for sharing a vid in a difficult time - and even do the bloopers in the ending ! I really hope everything turns out good 🙏🏼! Be strong Sabrina - life is good, even if you battle illnesses. There is so much beauty in this world and it gets so visible when you battle illness - I’ve been 6 month in hospital and had 6-7 surgeries. I have completely different glasses on today ❤️. Keep moving forward - you got this !
I've always loved the R8 but that beast of a car is even more impressive than I thought. That carbon fibre monocoque tub is awesome! Good work as always TJ, anxiously awaiting the rest of this series.
*PRO-TIP* When cleaning areas that have little cracks and crevices spray the rag not the area. That way over saturation doesn't build up where you can't reach in those areas and either sit too long to cause damage or cause potential odor. I got your back Teej!
Awesome content Teej. Hoping Sabrina makes a swift recovery soon. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. Much love and respect from Cape Town, South Africa.
on the dimples and indentations on the dash use a steam gun and see if you can get rid of them, typically the steam will rehydrate the foam behind it and cause it to expand back into its original position, they can also repair that leather on the console probably without even replacing it, they could sand it down and dye it back thats pretty easy.
Not sure if it's already been mentioned but I'm pretty sure the leather that is dented could be sorted for not too much, I'm thinking a bit of heat and steam will help relax/soften the leather and allow it to return to its normal shape. Contact a leather worker/upholsterer I'm sure it'll come in cheaper than replacement
Dude, save those teeth! I never have nails either to open a can: with soda/beer cans though push down on area where you'll drink from with one hand (thumb has most power I've found), levers up the tab enough to get a finger under it.
Hey teeg you should try to get a damp towel over the dimples and iron it slightly. I know that’s how shoe restorers get rid of creased Jordan wrinkles. This could reset the dimples in the leather. Easy on the heat tho...
I had the same ripples on the leather on my Cayman dash, I managed to get it way better again by putting a wet towel over it and go over it with a hot iron.
With the headliner out you should totally do the starlight roof like a rolls but allow it change colors. Put a light on every top and bottom top of the diamonds
I really love the r8 and it’s a nice project especially for someone who lives in Germany.. always love your content and ideas. Keep up and do what you’re good at! Many greetings from Germany :)
you should connect the scanner to see the abs codes so you can check if the seat belt are good or not. I have seen other videos when the seat belt work but the code is there and you have to repair anyway.
Fun fact if you use a heat gun on low heat you sometimes can get those dipoles out or light scratches! Just apply the heat for 30 seconds (you should be able to put your fingers on the material without it burning you, anything hotter could melt stuff)
Hey you can hit up a leather repair man for those little divits, it'll look like brand new without having to buy a new piece. Even if it's not real leather there are people for that. And it's literally brand new. I think you should look into it 👌👌
try and heat the leather on the dash gently to get marks and dents out, any of the tiny deep ones you can definitely get a leather repair company to fill and paint and you wouldn't know they were there! saves a retrim and taking the dash out!
TJ !!!! I was just in SD bro every where I went I kept an eye out for one of your sick rides but no luck. I left today and I saw on your IG you were at the SAME BEACH I was just at haha hopefully next time man keep doing what you do bro !!! Big supporter

Nahh... FCP euro
Ecs is pretty dope but for like an r8 maybe different site for more expensive cars but for like 50k and under ecs is a major go
It’s Hendo FCO euro is no doubt the way to go. lifetime warranty and replacement on literally everything
Jack Wilson big facts... they shipped out my order as soon as I purchased... it took ECS 3 weeks to contact me to tell me they were about to send it out. Smh 🤦🏾♂️
Ecs is strait up trash never actually has things in stock and they charge hella tax and shipping.
Euro tuning is my favorite
The interior removal olympics were great! Always love the goofy vibes between you and Calv

The indentations in the leather... Try steaming them first before replacing. Set marks in leather many times can be steamed out

Bolt organizers or even tackle boxes help out with no baggies. And it helps the environment.

Not bad 🤔
The wrinkles were caused by sitting in the sun tho so don't take my word for it
Heat gun would probably work also.
Amazing job ! You should put star lights in the head liner ! I think that would be sick
TJ and the whole gang are super cool. I hope Sabrina can get better soon! God bless.

For those indents in the leather dash, you should look into using steam on it.
Lovin the R8 content TJ. Thank you for the keep moving forward at the end. That makes the videos for me man.
While the headliner is out have Calvin do a starlight ceiling 👀

Can't wait to see what you do to that BEAUTIFUL R8 V10+, One of my favourite super CAR'S. 🔥 🔥
You should use a rolling pin and a heat gun on the dash where it’s a little indented. Worth a shot
