Who the hell do Michael Alig and Ernie Glam think they are? Michael Alig spearheaded a countercultural youth movement based on the concept of the Warholian "anti-Celebrity" and became King of the Club Kids before inspiring the film Party Monster, starring Macaulay Culkin. He is currently painting masterpieces of artwork; working on his autobiography, Aligula; designing a club kid-inspired clothing line called Skroddleface; directing a NYC art collective called Countdown and recording a new dance single. One of the original club kids, Ernie Glam is a journalist and irreverent talk show host by day, Underground clothing designer and stylist-to-the-stars by night; catch him - -if you can get past the red velvet ropes -- at the city's hottest nightclubs and parties.

I feel the same too. I'm also in recovery and I feel sooo sad that this happened to Michael. I'm really saddened to hear his mental state and self esteem had declined. I feel like MA is rawest in this episode where he says Seth Green and Macaulay portrayed the emptiness or 'sometging missing' that was underlying his addiction, something most addicts know well. Love to you all and to Ernie Glam and loved ones . Rip Michael ❤️

Michael needed to make the decision to change for himself.
Prison didn't do it, who knows how many awful situations he got himself into as a result of his drug usage, but that didn't do it, either.
It's a shame but only Michael could've prevented it; may he rest in peace.
@@kingayy9267 wow, seriously, then why do interventions work, sometimes people need to be reminded that they're fucking off, friends should always check each other, it's what a friend does, you don't continue if they continue or you are codependent and helping them to maintain that life, by continuing you validate their choices. But hey WTF do I know I mean I was once an addict but now I am not so I wouldn't understand right

Worst thing ever. Methadone is worse. I couldnt imagine.going thru that in prison. Its hell on earth and mdone last me for 6 months straight. Im detox i can get clean and off sick and withdrawals in 7 days easily. Its a life saver.
I had to go from 120mg of Methadone cold turkey in jail and it was unreal. That's when I knew that you could push your body to get through anything. I'll never touch another drop.
It is, but methadone and even Suboxone makes it look like a cake walk. If you've ever been locked up, cold turkey methadone withdrawal is something the devil concocted straight from hell.
Suboxone is WAY WORSE than heroin. To me at least. I detoxed off of heroin in lockdown in jail (years ago) and subs were WAY harder to get off of. Just my personal experience
You really need to try and get video of you entering and going thru that storage unit. It's like a 20x20 time capsule, that's going to be amazing. Have fun, be safe, and I can't wait to see some the things you have

I'm not being obnoxiously argumentative, I just wanted to suggest that it _is_ possible to detox at work - very, very slowly. This was my hangup for way too long. Nothing worked until I just slowly chipped away at my daily dose. If you're considering detoxing, trust me when I say, you'd be doing yourself a huge favor by starting to taper your dose down as early as possible. Whether you're doing it cold, you're gonna switch to suboxone or methadone, etc. -- it will only work out in your favor. Making a start earlier will not only save you a bit of money by using less, it'll also help you resume a healthy lifestyle faste. --+** The More You Know --+*
Mi'el Blanquea Esquivo can u please elaborate a little more on what I did? I have someone who very recently has gotten from 2 bundles a day down to a little under 1. There's still a super help in store waiting though. How did I get down to little amounts?

Really m I'm on 24mg or Suboxone. I had a 14yr oxy/heroin addiction. Lost my house, everything. Had rock bottom after rock bottom. I'm in University how trying my best to get my life back together but it's so hard. I'm so Hugh up on the Suboxone dose. I got clean Nov2015 but Joe I gta kick Suboxone. I heard it's even worse than heroin.
C J first of all, congratulations on getting clean! Not sure if you're still on subs but just wanted to share my story.
I got on methadone May 2015 - 62 mg - and started going down 5mg/week January 2017 until I was completely off by April 2017.
No one at my clinic supported my decision besides my counselor. All the nurses and even the dr said I was foolish and that I'd relapse. But over a year and a half later I'm completely off of EVERYTHING!
If you're absolutely sure you're ready, then slowly start to take less and less each week. Let your body get use to the smaller dose each week then continue. You've got this! If I can get off of methadone you can get off suboxone!

Oh god i cant imagine how miserable it would be to kick heroin on a cruise ship. Its hard not to puke every ten minutes coming off that shit without the floor moving id fucking die throwing sea sickness in the mix.

Michael, how do you feel about Freeze getting out of jail before you?? Are you upset about it? And do you think it was fair?
Michelle Brooks the movie party monster destroyed michaels parole hearing in 2005 and 2008. Or.i think he would have been out way sooner but he wanted the fame and thats what he got a longer stint in prison.
danny davideos also freeze earned his university degree in prison and Michael earned more time in solitary confinement (5 years) for admitted drug use lol I’d say it’s fair.
Allie yeah he admits he kept using drugs in prison and wouldn't stop.

I’m not saying you’re his parent or you’re responsible for him why I’d be mad is you said you would take him!! Then u just blurt it out for first time on this show ohh I don’t wanna go?? Why not? You tell Michael to just Fed Ex his stuff all back. Like that no big deal and it’s totally free! No telling how much that cost but it’s not even that.
