Yeah, people who don't get to see a person with Narcissistic Personality Disorder at home will often be "tricked" into believing that their charisma is real. My Mother with (diagnosed) Narcissistic Personality Disorder was good at tricking people, too - because she made such a positive impression on people. Meanwhile, at home, she was screaming at me for not making my bed properly, feeding me food that I was allergic to (gluten), and not helping me with homework... but then also berating me for having poor marks. Could've been worse, though - but I did later end up developing an anxiety disorder (Generalized Anxiety Disorder) because of what she did. 😬
