    I’ve had a 1.4 Boosterjet for three years now and nothing has gone wrong. Once it didn’t start, but that was because I wasn’t putting enough pressure on the brake pedal. It’s fun to drive, and in Sport you really can feel the rear wheels kicking in to tighten the line around bends. I’ve driven a Mokka and the ride was truly lumpy and unsettled, and it handled badly too. Nor is the Capture as much fun. At the price it’s great, I just wish it had a longer warranty. My third Suzuki by the way: no problems.

      What's the brake pedal got do with starting the engine?

    • @richardsmith2879
      @richardsmith2879 4 роки тому +1

      @@antares7368 . It’s automatic, so you need to press the brake with the selector in Park to allow the starter to work. On manuals the brake and clutch need to be depressed. These were always sensible precautions but now they are engineered in by law.

      @@richardsmith2879 Thanks for the reply Richard, I had no idea these things were compulsory on new cars. I have only ever owned manuals and my current car is 14 years old so you can see I'm a little out of touch on these matters.

    I am the owner of suzuki vitara 1.4. The version is best equipped. Such a version costs as much as the average of the competition. I only have a problem with scratches on the glass. They are visible only in a sunny day. The boot lid was a problem. The sheets are thin and do not close properly. It requires a lot of power. on Polish discussion forums, they warn against using a lot of power because it can cause sensor failures. Would I buy this car for the second time yes, it is a very grateful car. Greetings from Poland

      I have a Suzuki Baleno and the front windshield is scratched pretty visibly in just 2 years of use. Apparently they use some sort of plastic that is too soft. I used the same brand of wipers and ice scrapers on my previous car and didn't have a single scratch on the windshield.

    I own the naturally aspirated 1.6 front wheel drive Szt and find it quite a refined drive after owning diesels for the previous 15 years. Also the economy is quite impressive too easily topping 50 mpg on a run.

      Hi Leo, the Vitara si a smaller car and where i am from, it is about 2500 euro cheaper than the Qashqai at similar trim levels. I went for thr Vitara myself, but that is because i do not need a big car and also had a tighter budget. Also heard Suzuki has slightly better reliability. Just my thoughts.

    • @alinmarta727
      @alinmarta727 4 роки тому +2

      Forgot to mention, currently Vitara is only available in the mild hybrid version. For me this is a bit more important, because we get a around 500 euro off the price of a new car if it has a hybrid system, compared to a normal gasoline or diesel engine+ lower annual taxes. But this currently is the policy in Romania and it may change. Other countries have different policies

    Brilliant little car. It’s so much better to drive than the competition in this class, especially the 1.4 boosterjet. I didn’t have any issues with the manual gearbox, actually felt quite sporty. Wouldn’t recommend the auto though.

    I purchased a Suzuki Vitara 66plate petrol June 2020. Thought is was a good choice having second thoughts now. When i first got the car i thought why does it not start as quick as my other car Vauxall corsa petrol. Cut a long story short i had it serviced to manufacturers standards. A week later i had not driven it for only 2 days it took 10 seconds to start was just cranking all that time. Be careful I've read the same issues on the Suzuki forums

    I love my 1.0 turbo boosterjet great to drive, mpg good but....I collected it brand new just before Christmas 2018, it was rejected 25 days later to a electrical problem ( took 3 months to find the fault by the dealer), the replacement was fine for 2 months then the check strap on the drivers door snapped , causing the window not to go down all the way and bent the door a little.
    Suzuki and Dealer blaming me for the damage,saying I either opened it too far or the wind blew it open.
    This will be my last Suzuki.
    Ps. A few hours writing this the replacement check strap broke !

    My sisters friend bought a 2017 1.4 boosterjet. Pretty punchy engine. She having problems with it now though, buzzing noise in reverse, windscreen wash pump replaced under warranty and now as a minor oil leak due to an air line crack at the bottom of the engine just above sump pan. I feel bad now for reccomending suzuki to her 😂. Ive had them for years i had 2 ignis 1.3, a swift, and a liana 2004. And they havent been that reliable to be honnest.

Bought an ignis 2001, actualy loved the car but brake issue's accured, immobiliser playing up, then bottom balljoint went so went to change it when bolt head snapped off so lost my temper with it. so Bought another ignis 2000 model, front brake disks kept warping no matter what disks i used, catalyst went and so i fked that off aswell. I bought a suzuki liana 1.6 petrol estate 2004. Love it to bits but its nothing but problems. Push folk for clutch inside gearbox snapped off so another gearbox was in order. Months later gearbox going stiff in 1st and 2nd, external headgasket leaking oil. Engine now tapping on coldstart. Rear brake drums cracked i fix 1 thing up pops another 2 problems its like wakka mole 😡. Im getting 20 - 25 mpg in city and 33mpg long journeys, coolant system now started playing up.
