Hi Charlie, what did you have to do in order to make your boat saltwater friendly? Whats the biggest drawback having a jon boat? Like Brad said, I would like to see your set up.
I put corrosion X on everything....electronic connections, under the engine cowl and also the trailer nuts and bolts. Suzuki is very hardy as most outboards are these days. Keep up with the recommended service and you won’t have any problems. I do all of the service on this one and there is nothing to it. Jon boats are very economical. They are easy to clean and store. They can get in very narrow canals when chasing redfish in the fall. The only thing I do not like is hull slap on windy days. It makes fishing in the open bay impossible on windy days. So on windy days we fish protected shorelines. I will make a video on my setup soon. Thanks for watching the videos!
Great videos, I just binged watched all of them. What size boat are you running there? You should do a walk through of your boat setup on your next video.
Sorry but not right now. I have a captains license but it is not current. I am close to having enough hours on the water which will allow me to renew. I have a few friends that are much better than me. Have a look at this channel m.ua-cam.com/users/zinsmeyer. Marvin has fished the middle Texas coast for quiet a while and can put you on fish. Thanks for watching my videos!
Nice video JBC! As a fellow jon boat owner, it’s always nice to see one catching tons of fish and proving you don’t need a 50-60k boat.
You are correct! I have had big boats and this is so much less to deal with when I get home. Thanks for watching!
Nice video, fishing is amazing.

What molds do you use
Found them online and have no idea where. I use aluminum molds....they don’t stick!
