One of the best old gas stations reviews so far👏👏👏poor pup at the end looked so sweet and kind.. I hope he or she is still alive and well ❤thanks Wally
I love old gas stations, and Texaco is one of my favorite brands to see in classic or vintage forms. That old station looks similar to some stations we used to have down here in Florida. I saw a glimpse of that old station on Google maps, I'm not sure what brought me there, but I'm excited that you got to see it in person.
This is so cool! My grandfather drove a tanker truck for Texaco and I never saw a Texaco station before. I always wondered if there were any left still standing. I have to show him this!
Hey Wallie, Is there any way you can do an 'Abandoned' video on Roadside America in Shartlesville, PA? It was around for 85 years before they closed down just last year (2020). Thanks!
Good video! Wallie! Too bad you could not get a look inside that Texaco Station. I imagine it's pretty bad inside there! Those trailers are in really bad shape too! That's something, about those snakes!
Thanks for the awesome video. What a,cute dog!! Loved the videoeo. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! Take care, stay safe and well. God bless you!
Gordon is a nice little town up the road, they have this cool old school hardware store with a even a pay phone. I have only gone by this place off the freeway as I came in the back way into Gordon and back roads to Strawn. Cool video, keep them Texas ones coming and you all should move here.
very nice. I have a whole gallery of photos I take of abandoned gas stations in Texas. My favorites to find are always the Fina stations, so if you ever see one of those around 😏 I'd love to see it too.
I think the same way Wallie , always wondering what the history was on an old place . That’s pretty wild about the copperheads , damn . Enjoyed watching lol. 👍
There's a few reasons why that could be. Maybe the owner died and there's no one to take the property? Maybe the owner (or company) went bankrupt? Maybe the owner didn't pay the property tax and the municipality took the property. (Here they do that for unpaid water bills. No BS on that.) Maybe the upkeep on the property exceeds the value of it?
Research both Pat’s and Geno’s cheese steaks in Philadelphia. They compete against each other and are across the street from one another. You an Kalya should go and each get a sammich, 1 from each and split them… then declare your favorite.
I'm confused too about why there's a current Texaco next to this abandoned one! There's a similar situation in Junction City, Kansas where a definite former Texaco (which later was a gas station with an unfamiliar name, which I have forgotten, and I think this gas station might be abandoned today) was across the street from a SHELL station with a BURGER KING attached, which I have a feeling is a former Texaco station, but I don't have proof that it was. There definitely were a HUGE number of Texaco stations which turned into Shell (ironically, the FTC required Texaco to sell those stations to Shell in order to allow CHEVRON to buy Texaco itself)
I like this video because it reminded me some of your very first videos because they were more exploration like the video when you explored the abandoned Ames but I still remember your very first video where it was at an abandoned Italian restaurant that became a thrift store me personally I would like to see more exploration videos what originally got me to subscribe several years ago to your channel in the first place as I know you Wollie you're a very good person I just know there's some channels that drift off from what they originally were and have to somewhat find their way back but I just want to say that this video took me back some of your first videos and that I do appreciate all the years you've been on UA-cam and for all the years you will continue to be on UA-cam
Pretty cool to see that theres still a texaco in business between shell and marathon pretty much bought out a lot of them out did you find out where the dog came from
Plenty of them, in Texas. It's a Chevron brand technically so I guess that's why they haven't gone extinct like so many other brands have in the state of TX. Other being brands like Conono, Fina, Dimond Shamrock, old circle K, citgo and old Valero. A very few of those survive now, but Texaco actually has a fair number of stations still in operation when it's totaled up. That said competition is still really diverse. In SA You got new circle K taking over all the old Valero stations. 7-11 popping everywhere with an ExxonMobil. we got very few Mobile stations though. Quick Trip also popping up everywhere. HEB GasMarts. Murphys, Chevron -Texaco, New Valero with smaller local brands like Bigs, all the Shells are Indian owned. a couple of VPs, like one citgo maybe? Two Dimond Shamrocks that I found ....one Fina in Henderson, oh and Sonoco popped up overnight in Corpus Christi. whew....that's a lot.
Have a Trucker Jukebox licious day. Have a Traveling Robert licious day. Have a Out of The Groove licious day. Have a MVG Productions licious day. Have a Derrick "King" Henry licious day. Oh' Henry. Have a Chiseled Adonis licious day.

After googling, clay's radio shop is in business in San Antonio. He has a website too, selling CB radios.
Can someone tell me why that gas price sign is having a seizure 🤣🤣 3:48
Looks like an old TV antenna on the roof of the building at 4:10.

Wallie, awesome and cool abandoned Texaco station! Really enjoyed your video!
Judging by gas price. It seems like it closed in around the early 1990s
That Texaco is amazing! Not too many of those left!
Love the videos

Could you explore the abandoned Texaco Day & Night gas station in Longview, Texas? It's the one located on Estes Parkway.

There's an old saying about snakes. For every snake you see, there were 10 that you didn't see.
@@misterhat5823 good point, they do leave scent trails.
Awesome video
I always wonder why the people who own the property don't at least clean it up for safety reasons if not looks. Thanks for the video.

I love Texaco
Does anyone remember two stores called Heck's and Magic Mart ? Where I live we used to have these stores Magic Mart closed 3yrs ago.

the gas station up a few yards sort of looks like a Texaco looks sort of like the star surrounding a T (posted this before I saw you mentioned it!)
Very Good!... #61 ✝ {6-27-2022}
Remember Full Service!!!
The next question...... Did you give the cute little hitchhiker a ride?? 😁
1970s gas prices🚏🚗
Weeds are growing around those gas pumps; i wouldn't be surprised if the pumps just fall over soon because they are in such rough shape.
Aww. The dog name should be Texaco or clay.
Expect the unexpected.
Pretty cool to see that theres still a texaco in business between shell and marathon pretty much bought out a lot of them out did you find out where the dog came from
