The catchers mitt is actually a Yorkshire pudding, basically a pastry like shell made from heating animal fat in a pan and pouring the dough onto it so it begins to fry on the bottom as the edges puff up and form the shell. It's actually quite good when not layered with meat peas and mashed septic grease and gravy
