If you don't have this guy, grab one if you can. It's a great figure. I didn't have the original either but I picked up a mint complete one recently at a toy show. Thank you for checking out the video man! Much appreciated!
Oohhh I love the designs on these guys didn’t grow up with the original Gi Joe my taste was from the series sigma 6 and the live action movies but still I love a good evil looking grunt for my other figures to pummel
Techno viper was my favorite growing up but was never able to acquire, as he was never available in my local shops, glad that the classified series cane through and did the character justice, will also get the one from hasbro pulse that comes with the ground missile launchers
I honestly can't remember if I had the Techno Viper when I was a kid but it's another one I'm looking to get along with the 25th anniversary figure. I agree Hasbro did a great job with the Classified version. Looking forward to the HMS missile launcher. That figure is going to look great with the Hiss Tank!
Looks like Hasbro patterned the backpack orientation (with the tanks at the top and the tools at the bottom) after the 30th anniversary 2011 figure which was the same. I don't know if I have a preference one way or the other. This figure looks really great and I've been looking forward to him ever since he was announced. I always liked the different shades of purple and yellow glowing eyes on his mask. Not sure if I would have wanted the tools silver or black, but I will sat silver would definitely contrast the black backpack. I may repaint mine gun metal. Hope mine isn't loose at all though it's and easy enough fix with a few drops of KiKi juice (watered down glue) , but I obviously would prefer it to be nice & tight out of the box! You did a really good job going over everything! Gave you a like and subbed.
Hey man, thank you for checking out my video! And thank you very much for the link and sub! I didn't have the OG Techno Viper so I didn't realize at first the way that backpack was positioned compared to the 2011 figure and now this one. I thought I positioned it wrong but all the renders show it with the tanks to the top. And seeing all of this I thought It would have been nice to position the peg right in the middle of the backpack so it can be used either way. To be honest I think it's better to have the tanks to the bottom because it gives more reach for the tube. But personal preference wins. I totally agree with you that painting the tools and maybe the blaster would be a nice touch! I hope you get a solid figure and I know you're going to love this guy! Thanks again man!
Hey! I haven't heard anything from anyone about the loose waist on the Techno Viper. I'm sure I wasn't the only one but nobody mentioned it in any posts I've seen. I heard back when fire fly 2.0 came out some had the loose issue and some didn't. Luck of the draw I guess.
Just got mine and got the wobbly waist also. But what I hate the most is the wrong position for the backpack peg. Gonna have to figure out how to stick a new peg at the right spot.
Oh that sucks man. Sorry to hear. I agree something needs to be done with the peg placement. I thought I might use my Dremel tool and cut the peg off and glue it in a better spot but I don't know if that will hold.
I just got two in the mail about an hour ago and both are all loose and floppy in the waist ….not supper bad but enough to be annoying and I had to heat mine up at the arm and leg double joints they were fused shut , so apparently this is a overall problem with this figure it’s not just the two I got…..pretty disappointing when you pay good money for these things and there messed up right out of the box….just a side note I miss the plastic free packaging they vacuum seal them in the packaging way to tight you have to practically cut some of accessories out and there all warped and smushed …..getting all the action soldiers stuff out was a real test of patience 😂
Oh that sucks man. Sorry to hear your figures are wobbly too. And you really never know what you're going to be dealing with in the joints. It's very frustrating knowing you don't know what the quality is going to be like until you open what you got. I haven't opened the 60th anniversary figures yet but thanks for letting me know what I'll be up against. I'm just working on my Recondo video and we may be looking at some more issues. Thank you for your comments! And thank you for checking out my video!
What does the gun do exactly? I mean for a techno guy, does it function as a flamethrower? Blasters in this present era are unfathomable, so let's think it is some kind of a fire device.
I'm not really sure what is supposed to come out of that weapon but you can make it what you want it to be! There's no rules to the imagination. Thank you for checking out the video!
Getting two of them and Airborne soon. Waiting for them to be on sale or when I save enough money. Also like to get the Vamp too but of course that's going to be a challenge since I have the Hiss tank. Space is getting tight but still looking forward to collecting.
Ya man I totally get it. They are pumping out a lot of stuff and it's expensive and space becomes a challenge. Enjoy what you get, you don't have to get it all.
Thank you for checking out the video! Yes I agree about the hose. You can flip the backpack around and it gives a little more length but it's personal preference. Overall it is a great looking figure!
Thank you for checking out my video! I agree with you. I prefer the OG figures in the 6 inch scale. Little updates are ok but keep it to the vintage looks.
Thanks for this review, guy. He was my first Cobra as a kid back in the 80s so I am really looking forward to him. Wondering what his helmet was reminding you of? Maybe Beauty in the Eye of the Beholder Twilight Zone doctors and nurses?😮
Thank you for checking out the video! Yes the original figure is awesome. That's great you had that guy when you were a kid. I didn't have that figure at least I don't remember having it. This figure is a great throw back to the original.
The Anniversary Techno-Viper's backpack is shown upside down so they may have sized it to that or it may be down to them reusing a short pipe so it has to go on that way up (unfortunately)
All the renders and shots of this guy by Hasbro has the backpack on like this. I would prefer it the other way like the ARAH V1 but I think it looks too high behind the head. I guess it's going to be personal preference.
I'm loving this Techno Viper figure but Quick kick is a super easy pass for me ...when it ever goes on sale i'll probably buy him. Quick kick and Big Boa aren't on my list to buy until they go on sale
Really eh. I'm surprised you want to pass on Quick Kick but I do understand passing on Big Boa. But that is totally cool, it's all about what speaks to you.
I ordered 3 the limit from Hasbro pulse, no issues with stiff joints, all good!!!
Good review!!!
Indeed the usual gummy bear weapons 😅
I'm glad you got good ones!
I collect most of the Cobra characters. I didn't have the original, but this version looks great. Thank you. 🙂

@destrosdesk no problem, man. We need to support each other in this hobby and community. 🤘
QC should be a priority for Hasbro.
Moreover, this is an awesome review of a cool set!
Thank you so much Aaron!

Great review. He looks awesome.
Thank you so much David!
Lenny: “The softness of the accessories is definitely a problem”. Uh huh.
Hopefully this will be something they can improve on without uping prices.
My only complaint is the softness of the accessories and the hose seems to short, still a great figure imo.
Damn two in a row!!
I got lucky lol!
Wow! nice, can't wait to
add him to my collection.

Oh and it reminds me of a mastiff dogs head. I flashed a little picture on the screen showing that but you may have missed it. No big deal.
@destrosdesk wowsers I was getting ready for work while listening and watching, but I thought I saw that part twice. Damn I missed it. One more time!
I saw it now!😅
That pistol comes with all the BATS.
The belt is the BAT's too. Think the hands are Tele-Viper too.
I was looking for someone to say this. Good eye!
Yes thank you for correcting me on that. And the belt and holster. I really suck at remembering what came with who.
It comes with outback as well
mass retail stuff are hit and miss... it is very random with QC issue.
Yes I agree. I've been pretty lucky with solid figures. There's just been a couple that stand out with some issues.
No wobbly waist!!! You have QC Issues sadly!!!
Sounds like there's a mix of good and bad ones.
