We were so delighted to have the Carpetbagger as a celebrity judge! As you can see he did a FANTASTIC job!! He has a heart for children and of course loves great food. It was truly an amazing evening, and with the Carpetbagger's help we raised about 154k!!! That means 154 children will be taken care of for 1 year. If you would like to help go to www.mhfc.org We will post a direct link to the donation page. Thanks again to Jacob The Carpetbagger, and as he would say... it's in the bag!!
That was a ridiculous amount of incredible looking food. Thank you for shedding light on wonderful cause that is often overlooked. There's nothing more important than loving one another, especially children.
I know I’m late to this video, but I love you even more than I already did hearing what you do for children! Two of my grandchildren were in foster care with my son and DIL and were adopted by them. My grandson was a medically fragile newborn that my children got to bring home from the hospital after lots of training at 4 months old. He had a trach, feeding tube, etc. and is now a healthy 6 year old. He is basically nonverbal due to childhood apraxia but is beginning to say more and more words clearer. My granddaughter came to my kid’s home at 5 months after being removed from an unfit home. She was developmentally delayed but is now 4 and is thriving!! They have had numerous others in their home and I could not be prouder of the safe, loving, Christian environment these precious children are welcomed into. There are definitely not enough good foster homes!!! Thank you for what you do Jacob!!!!
Jacob.... I am one of your TRUE "from the start " subs..... "Watchout for those wells!" You replied .. "TY My DaD keeps telling me that also" STILL LOVE WHAT YOU DO!.......... In my opinion.... Dave Huges Is A 100% LEECH! PLZ keep doin what you love! My whole family loves watching you! TYVM for what you do!
Oh my goodness Carpetbagger.... look at you go!!!!!! You put that food away like a champ!!! I thought you might would stop and take a break for a while, but you did it for the kids!!!!! I am so proud of you! Our family loves you and watching your family adventures!!! Great job buddy! Also, what an amazing shot of the USS Carolina! Thank you for sharing your adventures with us! !!!
"Brought tears to my eyes,I was in Foster Homes when I was Young,Such a Special Cause,God Bless all these People,Jacob they Chose you Because you are Special,God Bless you too!!!!"
Don't be self-conscious, you looked very handsome. Wow, that food looked delicious. Awesome thing to help out like that, a honor to be asked. I am glad they let you film it so you could share with us.
Looks like you were following directions, (per Internet,) for tying a ‘half - Windsor’ knot, for the event, Jacob … I’m glad you were able to attend - AND that you ‘took us along!’
You appeared to fully enjoy every bite of food you had. It is remarkable how much you ate, my gosh you were veracious. It looked as if you were having your first meal in many a day. It was almost funny to watch you put that food down. Glad you helped raise so much money for the care of children. The need continues and it is obvious that you have a great heartfelt love of children. I hope you have many more such celebrity judging evenings, you looked great and you did a wonderful service to the children of that area. Great going Carpetbagger !
bernadette kostelecky yes he did! He's a great guy! We are very appreciative of his contribution to help children and families in crisis. Thanks for your positive comments and support.
You look very handsome! The food looked very tasty too. The cause raising money to help abused, abandoned and fostered children is praiseworthy. Thank you for representing children in need and sharing this cause! 👏🏼
Given those oversized portions, they sure did put the rush on ya. My stomach's too wimpy for such a mix. Hope u brought yr Tums, brrp! Heck, they could've fed a hundred hungry kids w/the leftovers alone! Good food for a great cause, filmed by a great guy looking good!
Thank you sir for the great video. As a United Methodist pastor, I know firsthand the great work that the Methodist Children's homes do. Thanks for your time and effort.
Revtommy2tone he lives about 6 hours away also! Talk about having a great heart and passion for helping children and families! We are so appreciative at Methodist Home!
So enjoy your vlogs. Just attended a Living History Symposium here in San Antonio, Tx. Mentioned how you share history on some of the vlogs. One way to make local history more interesting and create interest. Thanks.
Great area to buzz The Flying Opossum at night unless there are restrictions about flying at night. If there are restrictions fly to the side of the road and play dead.
Erin Bricker - Urban Historian :-). I checked out your channel Erin I see you have a lot of Wa videos. I'm live in Wa too! 😀. I like your videos from the Puyallup Fair Etc very cool!
I love this Jake! You have a very good heart. SO let me get this straight...in order to be a food tasting judge...I first need to start a YT channel? hehe Sweet!!! Love this!!!
The red shirt is nice, Jacob. Good choice. Also, my husband had to go to a meeting this week out of town and it is business casual that messes him up. He is inclined to think khakis and polos (like a normal person would, c'mon...) Then he looks on some Gwyneth Paltrowesque man clothing site and they say blazers and shoes with fancy eyelets or some crap. Since he doesn't have those things, khakis and polos. And now I want pork belly buns.
" I know to you I may look old , hope this statement ain't too bold, but here comes the judge , here comes the judge , here comes the judge, here comes the judge here comes the judge "
I never realized the zoo had a dino! What is really crazy about that place is they close up soon for the season & aren't even open on weekends until the spring.
Great Job, wow, that sure was a lot of food. You sure clean up well. LOL. I think the next item you design should be a Carpetbagger Tie, with your face and the briefcase scattered around it. Keep up the Great work, Your video's are great, but what you give back to the children is incredible. Be safe in your travels. PS: did all the food stay down ?
The gentleman to your immediate right at about the nine minute mark is a dear friend of mine from down home. He is a superb cook/chef and BBQ pit master. It was his business near Jefferson, S.C. that I suggested you and your family visit while you were posting videos from Myrtle Beach.
FD Mackey We love Chef Big Roger Courtney! He is a down to earth, good old country boy. He operates a great restaurant; The World Famous Smokehouse!! He and the Carpetbagger were tearing it up!
Big Rog Is a fine man and I consider him and his entire family friends. It's probably a good thing for all concerned that the Lovely Bride and I currently live in Maryland and can't just jump in the truck and eat at The World Famous Smokehouse Grill.....I'd need me some stretchy pants and a nap every time.....He has the best seafood and BBQ on the east coast bar none.....And I know me some BBQ and seafood.....By the way.....I did warn him that CB was going to be there ahead of time.....And asked him to be gentle......Looked like things worked out well for everybody!
That food was rather interesting... and one tip I can give you, I had my dad tie all my ties and I just loosen them up. So on the rare occasion I have to wear a tie I don't have to look it up each time like I used to. But I believe I've only worn a tie three times in the last seven years. LOL
The Carpetbagger So awesome that you confirmed that! Again thanks (from all of us) for doing that! P.S., I sent you a very amateur and very bad (lol) Bonnie & Clyde vlog via email, I reeaaaly hope you get it and see it! Let me know!
😀 You look very handsome Jacob!! I will admit, watching you consume all of that food, while I am dealing with Stomach Issues probably wasn't the best idea! 🤢 It was for a great cause though!!

Beef tongue is delicious. It is common to eat in Germany, or at least it used to be. You boil the beef tongue and it is great as lunch meat.
So enjoy your vlogs. Just attended a Living History Symposium here in San Antonio, Tx. Mentioned how you share history on some of the vlogs. One way to make local history more interesting and create interest. Thanks.
