It would be protection, that you already can get by having a pay as you go plan. I don't want a cap on my usage. I don't want the inconvenience of having to call ever to get more minutes, or data if I need them. Ill just pay for it.
I think people misunderstand what is meant by a cap. It means your usage would be capped, so once you hit that usage, you wouldn't be able to use your phone anymore, until you can your service provider and up your cap.
At this point it's just semantics, yeah the quote is out of context but it illustrates how out of touch cell companies are from consumers. Whats wrong with all you can eat plans, look at magic jack!!
thing is people will always pay for service like this even if there getting ripped off, companies play the percentages towards kids, the parents are to blame for paying for it
I'd love to have that too, but that isn't what they mean when they are talking about a cap. Instead of just watching this video, read up on the whole situation.
No, what we're saying is we want a cap on the monthly cell phone bill charges - in other words, we want a point where the bill is just "unlimited data and minutes". Basically, if my cell phone bill per month is more expensive than running my desktop with internet connection + electricity + repairs...the phone companies are doing it wrong.

More pointing out the stupidity of big telecom please.
Yeah that just about twisted my head around when I heard that too. Why not just tell me I want my dentist to drill right through to the bone?
I dont like this because the problem isnt really putting a cap on the it, it's about the costs.
