If you’re a smaller defender, the best thing to do when guarding guys like nitty is get in their chest, PAUSE! And force them to dribble, and drive, or shoot over you very contested, you can’t allow them to rock you to sleep and get into their spot in the mid range while you’re backing up, it’s gonna be a bad and late contest every time. It’s different if you know the guy can’t shoot, but when a guy like nitty who’s whole game is the midrange, GET IN HIS CHEST and make him pass the ball. EDIT: 21:17 - 21:27 is a perfect example, he isn’t taking steps back allowing nitty to get into his pocket and played up respecting the jumper forcing nitty to pass the ball! 😂 literally simple basketball.

Nitty got mind control over dudes when they match-up even when the talent is close and until you take the game from him, all the crying in the world not going to save ppl from beating dude. And the fact that it has translated to other platforms lets me know that it isn’t just a BIL aura/benefit of the doubt situation.
The Boss game was legit. Yeah the ref called a lot of fouls, but most of them were actual fouls. I recall one play when the dude with the dreads was literally holding Nitty's left arm and that's when the ref didn't blow the whistle. I think for the most part, the foul calls took the other team out of the game. This was about mental resilience. They got caught up in the calls and it took them mentally out of the game.
I've now watched all 11 episodes up to this point and all I can say is that I can't stand that step back 3 point bs everyone is doing like it'll somehow earn them extra points. It's just bad, travelling basketball. Don't think I've seen anyone take any less than 3 steps to get to where they want to be in this entire series...
