Guys let me be very clear- this fragrance is not for the faint of heart, this is an extremely loud and proud fragrance which makes a statement that I am here. This will be a head turner for sure (public may like it or hate it) when walking into a room. It has a very woody and musky scent and will perform best during evening winters. One has to be courageous and unapologetic for pulling this off. This is a man’s perfume. I can easily imagine a Lord Commander Jon Snow using this but not a Samwell Tarly (if you know what I mean). Dont blind buy this, by all means try it first.
So I just got this one in the mail and sprayed it on the paper that covered the cologne in the box and I was almost knocked me off my feet. I almost wanted to just return the bottle but I waited for the drive down, and I have to say this is a fantastic scent. Very strong…I probably would say only one or two sprays maximum and then reapply after the sixth hour mark. For me, this one is definitely a scent that I would reserve for winter and fall. I would never consider wearing this during summer which Texas is starting to approach and we usually get heat waves of 105° to 110° and for me I think that would be way too hot for this cologne to be worn. It’ll probably be a winter fragrance for me, and it will be something that I will be wearing very seldomly. It’s a fantastic fragrance! Very strong not for the faint hearted and I would say this is definitely one that I would keep in reserve for winter days and date nights out on a cold evening.
Just purchased a backup bottle of this. First time I've ever purchased a backup bottle. One Man Show Oud Edition was my reintroduction to the fragrance scene. I hated it when I first sampled it. However, it has transformed into top 5 of my entire collection. A true "acquired taste." My bottle is 2 years old and the juice level isn't even down past the neck due to my fragrance collection. However, I'm going on purchase hiatus until at least summer, and I just wanted to ensure that one of my favorite scents will be around in my life for years to come. Dry, leathery, spicy, oudy and fiercely green in the background. The Don of both Bogart fragrances and inexpensive fragrances in general.
It is certainly one of the best scents from the house, this and the original are the best from the one man show line. I don’t care much for gold or Ruby, Ruby being my least favorite
Jacques Bogart is my favorite house! My papa was a one man show original guy! He is the one who introduced me to the one man show line! Truly great stuff!

Mine should be coming within a few days! I’m super excited. Since a teen in the mid 90’s I’ve always kept some juice on the dresser but recently just started collecting affordable bangers. My last buy was Jared Lang and one of my favs out of my collection is St DuPont Passenger. Can’t wait to let OMS Oud Edition meet the rest of the boys! Great Review!
Nice review man, love how your reviews are mostly in the same format so you're not all over the place or rambling like some other reviewers sometimes get. About the oud being real or not, raw agarwood can cost anywhere between $10.000 to $100.000 per kilo (let alone the price per liter of the oil) depending on the grade and area of origin. There are few fragrances that use real oud oil and those are expensive niche fragrances. That doesn't mean synthetic oud can't smell great of course :D (Gucci intense oud for example).
Absolutely magnificent projection and sillage. Smells awful first but once it dries down it evolves into this powerful masculine fragrance that keeps you company for at least 8 hours . Oud ,and smoky Leather and incense are prominent . The best in the OMS lineup

I have quite some experience with natural ouds and sniffed agarwood barks from different geographical locations and I can guarantee that this scent has a really good facet of clean oud. It is probably an oud accord made using synthetics but the scent is faithful to have oud in its name. I was also surprised at how the scent felt a bit modern/younger for a bogart. In my perfume journey, the best oud in a perfume blend is from Tom Ford Plum Japonais, it has its sharp animalic facet of oud which is well balanced with other ingredients.

@@duMaurier15 Ajmal ouds are natural and pretty affordable, Khallab from Ajmal has real oud while costing around 50usd. It is a blend of faint floral heart and grapefruit top note all tied together with a strong oud base. Do not judge Khallab from the initial sniff, buy a sample if you can and try wearing it for a week or two, and decide for yourself :) Even at expensive prices, I'd still stick to ouds from Ajmal for its use of authentic high-quality ouds.

And I havent sprayed any yet but I can smell it through the atomizer and its smells great. Is it too common for Oud to be combined with rose or other feminine flowers?

This is fantastic ! It costs 15 $ , it has nuclear performance .Really with 3 sprays you can knock a horse down. Yes it's a sythetic oud but who cares ,the guality of the composition is high Anyway no one can tell the difference between natural and synthetic oud so who cares as long as longevity is measured in half-lives . It may not be "old school" but for sure is a powerhouse and for sure people around you will think you have spent hundreds to smell that good

Nice review. Just got this one. I like it a lot. Its smells ancient in a good way. Dark and smoky. I get a little hint of Catholic church incense in the dry down.
This is a cool fragrance. I will wear it in summer. This is very masculine! Very bold! I loved it! Opening resembles a petroleum station. LOL! I will wear it to pubs and bars to choke everyone there! Hahahahah.
I think people need to wear what they like with confidence. I do wear frags based on seasons, but this is dependent on the performance. I love my Azzarro Elixer and Mancera Hindu Kush in the cold weather for example. Both are heavy powerhouses But once it warms up they genuinely smell different and turn me off. So whatever you wear, do it with confidence. You need to enjoy the experience.
I had my first introduction to oud with one man show oud and john varvatos oud and went with the JV oud...but after 2 day of showering and wearing other scents, I could still smell the OMS oud on the back of my hand...will go back and buy ASAP!!!!
It’s such a good buy for 15$ it smells great and performs very well, I just featured this in a video along with another great oud scent called “mojo” by Milton Lloyd it’s 10$ and performs well over 12 hours. Thank you for watching and commenting sir!

Yeah, unlike some Jacques Bogart that you can blind buy safe, you have to be fairly sure you like Oud. Otherwise, this one might collect dust. It's gorgeous though and lasts eternally.
4 sprays ? Lord help us! 😄 The sprayer on my bottle is like a fire hose. No mist, just super soaker action. Bought this last year when I jumped back into frags again and was a bit shocked 😲 at first. I really get lots of dark leather with no sweetness at all on my skin. My wife won't come near me when I have this on. I need to be in the right mood to wear it or it can make me a bit sick to my stomach. Will give it a go next fall and winter when it cools down again . Glad to see you enjoy it.
Have you ever tried YSL's M7 absolu? I just purchased 80 ml. online. To me its more aproachable than OMS oud edition. Lt has a similar vibe to me. Not many have reviewed it. Would be great to see you do this one if possible. Though I'm not sure how available it is in the US.

Falcon 777 yes this one is a gem for sure I love the scent and it performs very well, the original is still my favorite from the one man show line but this one is a close second
its definitely synthetic oud.. I hate when people complain about cheap fragrances and expect it to have real oud in it. Agarwood/Oud is one if not the most expensive wood and oil in the world.

Bahtiyar World my favorite is the original one man show, it’s the strongest most ass kicking scent of the group, it lasts all day and they have any matching product for it out there ( soap, aftershave etc) try kouros as well if you have not already thats a beast too
Just bought this...tried it this morning. So far, so good, strong, unique. I also have Bogart Signature. Do not like the cap/atomizer design as much as you.

My wife ny kids and everyone i know hate this ! i tested it 1 time and never again its so strong ! it smells like Räuchermännchen (incense smokers ) have not found another word for this from german to english ! have subscribed
Have you ever tried John Varvatos Dark Rebel? It's def not beast mode, but if you like this one but it's a bit too much, Varvatos is more tamed, silky version that is a touch darker and sweeter, but shares a similar dry down to this. It's pretty cheap also.

Every European fragrance house use synthetic Oud, no matter how expensive it is. YSL, Creed, Versace etc Essential oils in high concentration can smell like synthetic too.
Im late to the party right now. How does this compare to Franck Olivier Oud Touch? If you know both scents, what is better in terms of: a) scent profile b) projection c) sillage d) longevity? Giving a score for each part, out of 10? Thanks

According to Fragrantica, all oud in commercial perfumery is recreated with synthetics. I’m not sure how accurate that is, or what kind of perfumery exists that isn’t “commercial.”

If I love Kouros would you recommend this one as a blind buy ? 😅. Speaking of performance for a $20 scent is such a miracle hahah . Performance is not all I care about but I can’t deny that’s what I care the most . Would you pay 💰 +$100 for a fragrance that sits on your skin for less than 3 hrs ? I certainly wouldn’t. And this Jacques is proof that there’s no need to overspend hundreds of dollars 💵 for a beast mode . But I can’t deny I want Amouage’s Interlude 😂 (I wouldn’t pay more than $200) since it’s “The Blue Beast “ I’ll see If that’s true 🤞.
Sergio Vázquez this is definitely a safe blind buy because of how cheap it is, it’s a synthetic oud but I really like it and it’s great for cold weather
Unfortunately, Bogart company reformulated most of their perfumes lines effective 2019 therefore, you're not going to enjoy a long lasting perfumes as you had experienced with old perfumes lines oh well, too bad Bogart perfumes was my Favorite, but not anymore after the reformulation thanks for the review.
@@ScentsOfSouthJersey For your Information I have most Vintage Bogart perfumes lines made on 2011 and the Gold Edition plus Jacques Bogart pour Home used to last 6 days on my clothes, Unfortunately I bought three days ago a One Man Show Gold edition made in 2019 and it doesn't last more than 10 minutes and the same goes to Jacques Bogart pour Home anyhow, I contacted directly the Bogart group in France and they never replied oh well, I will never purchase any Bogart perfumes Cheers.
@@BishBosh24 I think the store who sell it to you still carry the old pack even thought you bought it recently however, even thought One man show still open strong, but it will lose that strongest after 10 to 15 minutes unlike the old pack which used to last and project for three to six days on clothes and the same goes to One man show Gold Edition and Bogart pour Home

A spot on review. JB EDTs are more powerful than many EDPs out there. You cannot beat the pricing either.

Yeah, unlike some Jacques Bogart that you can blind buy safe, you have to be fairly sure you like Oud. Otherwise, this one might collect dust. It's gorgeous though and lasts eternally.
4 sprays ? Lord help us! 😄 The sprayer on my bottle is like a fire hose. No mist, just super soaker action. Bought this last year when I jumped back into frags again and was a bit shocked 😲 at first. I really get lots of dark leather with no sweetness at all on my skin. My wife won't come near me when I have this on. I need to be in the right mood to wear it or it can make me a bit sick to my stomach. Will give it a go next fall and winter when it cools down again . Glad to see you enjoy it.
Have you ever tried YSL's M7 absolu? I just purchased 80 ml. online. To me its more aproachable than OMS oud edition. Lt has a similar vibe to me. Not many have reviewed it. Would be great to see you do this one if possible. Though I'm not sure how available it is in the US.

Falcon 777 yes this one is a gem for sure I love the scent and it performs very well, the original is still my favorite from the one man show line but this one is a close second
its definitely synthetic oud.. I hate when people complain about cheap fragrances and expect it to have real oud in it. Agarwood/Oud is one if not the most expensive wood and oil in the world.

Now, I am thinking about buying Bogart One Man Show Gold Edition. I read reviews about it on Fragrantica (now, have mixed feelings about it). Bahtiyar World my favorite is the original one man show, it’s the strongest most ass kicking scent of the group, it lasts all day and they have any matching product for it out there ( soap, aftershave etc) try kouros as well if you have not already thats a beast too

Just bought this...tried it this morning. So far, so good, strong, unique. I also have Bogart Signature. Do not like the cap/atomizer design as much as you.

Have you ever tried John Varvatos Dark Rebel? It's def not beast mode, but if you like this one but it's a bit too much, Varvatos is more tamed, silky version that is a touch darker and sweeter, but shares a similar dry down to this. It's pretty cheap also.

Why do some Bogart fragrances say highly concentrated and some do not? Both are EDT so what is the difference if any?

Every European fragrance house use synthetic Oud, no matter how expensive it is. YSL, Creed, Versace etc
Essential oils in high concentration can smell like synthetic too.

According to Fragrantica, all oud in commercial perfumery is recreated with synthetics. I’m not sure how accurate that is, or what kind of perfumery exists that isn’t “commercial.”

Performance is not all I care about but I can’t deny that’s what I care the most . Would you pay 💰 +$100 for a fragrance that sits on your skin for less than 3 hrs ? I certainly wouldn’t. And this Jacques is proof that there’s no need to overspend hundreds of dollars 💵 for a beast mode . Unfortunately, Bogart company reformulated most of their perfumes lines effective 2019
therefore, you're not going to enjoy a long lasting perfumes as you had experienced with old perfumes lines
oh well, too bad Bogart perfumes was my Favorite, but not anymore after the reformulation

anyhow, I contacted directly the Bogart group in France and they never replied
oh well, I will never purchase any Bogart perfumes

however, even thought One man show still open strong, but it will lose that strongest after 10 to 15 minutes unlike the old pack which used to last and project for three to six days on clothes and the same goes to One man show Gold Edition and Bogart pour Home
