I love how respectful and understanding of each other. A wonderful couple ❤ also with religion, don't feel like you have to go hard or go home. It took 23 years for the whole quran to be revealed, change was never meant to be overnight, the heart is the most important part of us, the rest is whatever comes naturally and gradually. I Love your videos and content!

      @@salahsocials [Quran Chapter 5]
      83. And when they hear what was revealed to the Messenger
(Prophet Muhammad) , you see their eyes overflowing with tears, as they recognize the truth in it. They say, "Our Lord, we have believed, so count us among the witnesses."
      84. "And why should we not believe in God, and in the truth that has come to us, and hope that our Lord will include us among the righteous people?"
      85. God will reward them for what they say-Gardens beneath which rivers flow, where they will stay forever. Such is the reward of the righteous.
      86. But as for those who disbelieve and deny Our signs-these are the inmates of the Fire.
      87. O you who believe! Do not prohibit the good things God has permitted for you, and do not commit aggression. God does not love the aggressors.
      88. And eat of the lawful and good things God has provided for you; and be conscious of God, in Whom you are believers.
      89. God does not hold you accountable for your unintended oaths, but He holds you accountable for your binding oaths. The atonement for it is by feeding ten needy people from the average of what you feed your families, or by clothing them, or by freeing a slave. Anyone who lacks the means shall fast for three days. That is the atonement for breaking your oaths when you have sworn them. So keep your oaths. Thus God makes clear His Revelations to you, that you may be grateful.
      90. O you who believe! Intoxicants, gambling, idolatry, and divination are abominations of Satan's doing. Avoid them, so that you may prosper.
      91. Satan wants to provoke strife and hatred among you through intoxicants and gambling, and to prevent you from the remembrance of God, and from prayer. Will you not desist?
www.quranwow.comIt was not until the Quran was revealed to Muhammad that a religion began seriously spreading the belief that everybody is equal, even if they do not adhere to a particular set of religious beliefs. The reasoning for this can be found in the below excerpt from the Quran:
"And among His wonders is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the diversity of your tongues and colors. For in this, behold, there are messages indeed for all who are possessed of innate knowledge!"
      -Quran 30, 22
This passage was something of an anomaly for its time. It went in direct contrast to other religious texts, which generally taught a specific group or groups of people were the people of God. Instead, it tells us that all of mankind was created by God, with languages and races coming into existence by design. This is something to keep in mind today as gentrification and Westernization sweeps the world, almost eradicating the other tongues and cultures created by God.
The Prophet reaffirmed this teaching - with noticeable aggression - in the following Hadith:
"O people, your Lord is one and your father Adam is one. There is no favor of an Arab over a foreigner, nor a foreigner over an Arab, and neither white skin over black skin, nor black skin over white skin, except by righteousness. Have I not delivered the message?"
The Prophet Muhammad reaffirmed this in another Hadith, delcaring:
"Verily, Allah has removed from you the pride of the time of ignorance with its boasting of ancestors. Verily, one is only a righteous believer or a miserable sinner. All of the people are the children of Adam, and Adam was created from dust."
      -Sunan al-Tirmidhī 3955
Oh men! Behold, We have created you all out of a male and a female, and have made you into nations and tribes, so that you might come to know one another. Verily, the noblest of you in the sight of Allah is the one who is most deeply conscious of Him. Behold, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware” (Quran 49:13).
“And He it is who has brought you all into being out of one living entity, and has appointed for each of you a time-limit on earth, and a resting-place after death. Clearly, indeed, We have spelled out these messages unto people who can grasp the truth!” (Quran 6:98).

I completely get where your coming from in the sense Somalis can be very judgmental. I myself am Somali and born Muslim and always feel this sense of not being accepted by my in laws and like you said a different perception of who you are, best advice is do you and just know true believers of Islam shouldn’t judge and I one day hope you do revert to Islam and see the beauty of it❤

love this and love the fact your happy and open to share your opinion and experience which can be considered "against the grain." I wanted to make this to be 100% honest to myself and those watching, its a little taboo to have an opinion which is against society or culture these days and share it whilst holding a following but I want to cancel that culture. We can all respectfully share our experience cause I'm certain its helping someone somewhere! Inshallah girl, I've never said never but only not now so inshallah!🤎

I know you’re speaking on experience but saying that Somalis put their husbands on a pedestal is slightly inaccurate. Most Somali woman tend to be the matriarch of the family and definitely do have a voice, now I can’t speak for your husbands family but you speaking on behalf of all Somalis and the culture as a whole is a bit mad I can’t lie. Not every family is the same in any culture, I know plenty of conservative Irish catholic families and many that are far from conservative. Not every Somali is religious nor conservative, we’re not a monolith. Just sharing my two cents. Nothing against your lovely family, just not a big fan of blanket statements.

I’m speaking on experience and speaking only about my experience. I made it clear it’s purely my opinion on what I’ve experienced and following the statement of Somali women I did say on the video “Farhan’s mom even said to me..” so that fact was based solely from the following statement she said to me. I don’t want to offend or misconstrue anything for anyone so let me make it clear not just to you but everyone else too. I appreciate you’re comment though girl and the respect that came with it and pointing out something I can quickly clear up!🤎

Since Christmas and Easter have their origins in European pagan holidays, probably wouldn't be a good idea ....even for Christians.
