That is Bill Leatherwood portraying Marshal Bill Slaughter. He was there for 39 years and did more shows than other gunfighter. He is the Ghost Town Icon.
Great Job ! I know and appreciate your dedication and effort to convert this and edit it. It came out great ! I have been wanting to do this with my old 8mm movies, have not been able to decide what to use. I have looked at the Wolverine, can you give me the pro and cons of it. Thanks for posting this, I also have great memories of Ghost Town.
Hi, sorry for the delay. Just caught your message, I'm not sure how I missed it. Anyway, I made a 3-part series on this site which explains how to do what I did with my 8mm films. I cover the digitizing process, editing (including original sound), color correcting along with other helpful stuff. It's super easy to follow, at least I hope it is. I'm working on one final tutorial about how to add sound, sound effects, voiceovers, music to hopefully make our 8mm movies way less boring and hopefully fun to watch. I hope to post it in a couple of weeks.
Do you have any more late 60's early 70's Ghost town footage. Both my parents worked there (CanCan Saloon dancer and digger the undertaker) and I'm always looking for pics or vids of them there.
Hi Ginger. No, sorry. I was there with my parents. I was a teenager then. That is the only footage I have. I wish I had more. I do barely remember the saloon. I don't remember an undertaker. When it comes to my old 8mm movies, I'm just glad I have what I have.
Great job and wonderful memories ! We need more like you ! Thanks !
Thank you Tony!

What a beautiful video of the mountains! Surely no one gets shot on them!
Thanks for sharing
