how is that a penalty ? too much easy important penalties are given, it's too soft and it's getting tiring, causing important goals when there was barely an opportunity happens far to often.
It makes me wonder what is going on. Why is there such an uptick in wrong penalty calls?

In 2004 Portugal was very arrogant and Greece won the final at home as punishment, in 2016 France was very arrogant with Portugal when Cristiano Ronaldo was injured and Portugal won the final at home as punishment, now in 2020 England did cheating at home against Denmark and if there is justice Italy will beat them at home as punishment for cheating, I hope that means that they lose the final for England and UEFA for cheating.

In big international games like these, that call is not fitting as it kills the spirit and fluidity of the game. In terms of basic soccer, it is indeed q foul but that initial shove is also a foul which should be given as well if we are particularly about that toenick.

Referee instructors often talk about "what the game expects" in a certain situation, and calling a penalty for getting (maybe) tapped on the foot after fouling the defender (twice?) just doesn't stand up.

This is 6. of july 2021. Tomorrow is time for the revench for England in the EC-semifinal against Denmark. And no matter the result Boris Johnson is to credit, when he choose not to allow danish travelling fans in to Wembley. More spectators is allowed despite the worsening corona situation, but no (quickly in and out) danes among them. Boris knows nothing about fairness by a hosting country, but has been told (probably by Harry Maguire) about the importance for the danish site having their fans by their side. So, cheers, Boris, whether you win or loose, it's all on you!
