I have grown to really dislike the mobile version. The desktop is so much better. It is so much more fun when you have access to all the different studs and colors versus needing to spend gold. I like that you get more per payout on desktop.
The only things I like about mobile are the cross country and live races.
I started playing the mobile version last year, and it's taken months and months to get to grade 9. It kinda sucks. I wish I had just bought the desktop version, even though my computer is ancient. But here's my sage advice for playing the mobile version:
1. Use the ticket and gold bonanza events to your advantage. Ticket bonanzas reduce the cost of ALL races down to 1 ticket. So just race over and over again, refilling your tickets with gold, and gain as much resources and silver as you can. If possible, don't hire a jockey; do the races yourself to save silver.
2. Save your roses until you have enough of them to win all the rose wheel prizes at once. Roses are earned by racing in events. You can spend your roses on buying horses, or on spinning the rose wheel to earn prizes, the best of which are high amounts of silver and gold. The cost of spinning the wheel increases each time you spin it, and of course they never give you the best prizes first. Wait until you have at least 15,000 roses, then spin the rose wheel as many times as it takes to get the best prizes.
3. Before you hire a caretaker, check the foal's distance, track surface, and position. Decide based on those characteristics whether or not you want to keep the foal. In my opinion, position matters most. For example, I like frontrunners best; to me, they're the easiest to race. So if I get a backrunner, I know I'm not going to be able to race it well, so I will sell it and save the resources for a foal that will be more fun to play with.
4. Before you discover a new foal, make sure you have enough silver to hire a caretaker. That way, you can at least get good minimum bonuses for your foal, and the bonuses really help if you want to beat Richard at races. If you don't hire a caretaker (which I don't recommend), you have to babysit the foal for days, checking back every few hours to feed it, and if you run out of resources or miss a feeding, the bonuses decrease. It's a frustrating experience. So save yourself the headache; pay the silver (or gold if you're feeling rich) and age the foal up immediately.
5. The most worthwhile thing to spend gold on is tickets, foal caretakers, or unlocking training. Tickets get you the ability to earn more resources. Caretakers get you bonuses for your horses, making them better racers and prize winners. Unlocking training gets you XP to train horses faster, and saves money on tickets for races you didn't have to run to earn that XP. On the other hand, paying gold to skip wait times doesn't actually give you anything in return. So as annoying as it is to wait and wait and wait, it's better to watch ads and save your gold for something beneficial.
6. Usually, skills aren't worth buying, but you can win them over time. Use your skills strategically. Once you apply a skill to a horse, you only get 3 uses, and you can't transfer it to another horse. Save the best skills for races against Richard.
8. If you can, you always want to take first place when racing Richard, because you get better prizes. Max out your horse's training, bonuses, and skills to win.
Thank for the tips there where so many times I had beautiful horses whit special colors and a lot of gold and when I leveled up I couldn’t do anything because I didn’t had enough gold to complete all he missions

These are really good tips! I don’t have any issues with silver, but I have barely any gold. Do you know any good ways to grind for gold? I don’t want to have to do any “pay 2 win” kind of stuff, but I am willing to get on a pretty hard grind. Any ideas or tips?
How do you bet on mobile or is that not a option?
I woke up today to find that on the mobile version you can put horses into a pasture aka retirement. So basically, if there’s certain ones you just can’t bring yourself to sell you can keep them in the pasture and it also frees up a stable 😁

I started playing the mobile version 2 years ago, once I found out about the desktop version I started getting irritated on how on mobile we couldn’t customise or bet on a horse when entering a race. I asked if I could get the desktop version, though that’d mean starting off fresh and leave my exotic stallion behind. Though I knew that desktop would be more faster and a bit more entertaining slightly
I prefer the desktop version but things I like on the mobile version is that I can do cross country and participate to online events but I would like Pik Pok to lower the price of special offers( horses) like ....really ! ... because when you make the total (breeding+training + buy horses + subscribe to star club ) it cost so much money.

can u Get Desktop Version on a regular computer or does it make it worse??
@@pamgvaughn9438 I have it on my computer, and it works completely fine.. although, you do have to pay around £34.. But if I was you i’d wait for a discount as the store it is on is ‘steam’ so you would have to have that downloaded to your computer, and then a lot of the time it is a half price deal, for rival stars Which is pretty worth it, In my opinion x

Haha, I am playing a bit longer on the phone and I had the same reaction when I found out that you can pet the foals. Hahaha. It's very sweet.
A tip,when you are riding, you need to train them high enough. Then is quite cool and you don't have to slow down to get the bends
I had a bad day today, found out that I broke my toe, had to get some blood drawn, I have already been sick for literally the past month, went to Murdoch's to see some chicks to cheer me up but they didn't have any chicks, so today was sad, but this cheered me up. Thank you for awesome videos.

I made a spare account on my separate device. On Mobil, and the first mare I got had all white heritage, all but one of her grandparents! So on that I have all white horses on lvl 3!
I personally really like the desktop, so far since I restarted the game on christmas, ive gotten to lvl 7 and have bred really rare coats, but I didnt always have that luck so I totally get the frustration XD
Honestly, I like the mobile version. I mean I can’t really say much because I’ve never had the desktop version, but since it’s all I’ve been playing you get used to it and it becomes fun lol. The waiting sucks but watching videos speeds things up . Don’t just spend all your gold and stuff at once, you get gold by leveling up and so your gold will just keep growing.

I got some pretty colors on mobile bc i don't have the money for a PC i probly pefer PC more because you can get more colors and you can costumize a horse in Pc and in the mobile the costumize is just tack for your horse

Nice!!! The only luck I have had was on my fathers phone on a vacation, I used it because my iPad was dead and so made a new account. The 1st horse I got was a random color more of the typical normal horse, but when I checked the heritage it was all white horses. I was excited but bummed at the fact that I would never be using that account. Now literally every foal that horse has is white

I've been playing mobile for over a year. I'm now just about to findh level 20 and only just manged to breed a level 10... I was too stubborn to just give up. But unfortunatkt you do have to spend actual money to get somewhere kn this version
Yeah I only have the mobile ever though I play on my desktop, but I am getting the desktop version and can't wait. I have been playing for 1 month and have a couple grade 6 horses, but mostly 4 and 5.

PERFECT *3 you bought. Moblie I hate the wait times trying to get good stat horses, the money you have to pay to get good horses which I don't anymore. I don't spend any real money on the moblie, PC all the way. I don't do Cross Country or Live Events. I would do Cross Country on PC though.

I've never played the desktop version, I have the ps4 version which is called Pharlap. Lots faster than mobile but when you breed your horses they just come out adults 😕 there's no cute foals.

I play the mobile and I don’t have the laptop one I think I like the mobile version better cause you don’t have to pay for it ,there’s cross country and you can sell foals, however it’s so hard to earn gold and items and as soon as you reach level 11 the main story quests are so hard to complete..

I started out good. I could win races on my own. Now I can’t. I try to stay in my lanes and in that sprint line but then near the end I get overtaken and lose. Are you suppose to hold the sprint button down or tap it near the stretch. Can you show this please in a video. It’s driving me crazy!!!!

Yah and don't ask how much real world money gold costs. Don't do mobile unless you have enough self control not to wate 100s of dollars on paying to play and can tolerate playing for a few minutes then stopping for a while.
Desktop would be my favorite if I had it (raising the foal and multiple accts) I play on console right now and it is still infinitely better than mobile.
