This is what I'm talking about. More videos on how to take care of your fx rifles. Changing o rings rebuilding etc etc. Having to send a fx rifle for repair is alot of money 200 just for a reseal plus shipping both ways your looking at 300 plus dollars.
@@deltanovember1672 it's not always simply a matter of affordability. Some us like to save where we can even if we can afford an FX, and still others (like myself) like the feeling of self sufficiency from being able to repair and work on their own gear. Not to mention the loss of use of your rifle for weeks while it's away getting serviced if you must depend on that means of maintaining your rifle.
@@deltanovember1672 you make zero sence ZERO if you shoot air rifles they all need repairs no matter the cost. 300 dollars for a reseal is CRAZY. So showing your custmors how to do it them selfs is a great idea.
Thanks Ernest. Great video. I would love to see one on the proper way to adjust the trigger safety. The Allen screw below the power wheel loosens/tightens and the Maverick will shoot with the safety on. I heard that if you don’t know what you’re doing you could mess it up.
Hello, Is there a transport screw to remove when I receive it new? A small screw at the bottom of the charger slot? Does the serial number correspond to the gun's date of manufacture? The first two digits indicate the year, then the month and the last two digits I don't know ... I want to know if the gun I bought this week is more than two years old or not ... Thanks You !
I have a maverick. I took bottle off to store over the summer. I put back on and when i did air gushed out the back of the plenum (the second plenum, clear in the back ) Wondering why it did this. I figured it was good to keep air out of it while storing. I guess i wont from now on but could you tell me what seals i will need to repair it? What is the easiest way to get to it vs tearing it all apart? Thanks
Hello Ernest , my bottle reg is slowly leaking from the little hole above where the bottle screws into. What parts will I need to make it stop leaking? Thanks excellent breakdown of the mavrick.
I have a new Maverick, w/ 700mm barrel in .30 cal.. I am experiencing a strange phenomenon when tuning this rifle. I have set the fine tune adjustment screw on the power adjuster to 6mm for maximum hammer spring with the power wheel. Front regulator is set at 175 bar. My eventual goal for the rear regulator is 150 bar. However, as soon as I go above 110 bar on the 2nd reg my velocity starts to drop off precipitously. At 110psi on the 2nd reg my velocity is 930 to 940fps using the FX 44.5gr hybrid slugs (and is laser accurate!). By the time I get it up to 120 or so, my PFS drops down into the 800's. It's like I'm experiencing valve lock once I get above 110bar. Since there is no valve adjustment on this rifle I'm at a loss as to how to remedy this problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thx!
@@DocMustafa I was indeed experiencing valve lock. FX shipped my rifle with the wrong hammer weight. Replaced the hammer weight and valve spring and issue was remedied. Great rifle with excellent power and accuracy now.
Can anyone answer this as I know fx USA is no more. Is there a way to get the reg piston out of the body without damaging it with something other than their 40 dollar tool ?
@@Light_357 There are a few options that don’t require special tools 😉 one is with some needle nose pliers but that could potentially damage the piston if you slip of . Second is a pencil or something with sticky buddy ( like to hang posters ) Third is to push air true the system but we don’t recommend that as if you do it wrong the piston could fly out of the hole and potentially hurts you or people around you .
One q, when shooting slugs, do I have to rotate the barrel to the SLUG side every time, or is it ok to shoot on the same side as for the pellets if I'm getting the desired speed for both?
My BRAND NEW maverick with approximately 50 rounds through it started leaking today. The power wheel adjustment got locked up and possibly skipped around and isn’t on it’s true number and after that it started leaking from the rear plenum area coming out of the barrel and when the bolts open from the plenum area. This is absolutely ridiculous on a brand new gun and FX needs to replace the rifle because I don’t want that lemon back! I will most likely never buy another FX product again after dealing with this.

I take your point but if you can afford an FX then you can likely afford the upkeep. If not it was a bad choice in the first place bro.

Hello. If I'm losing air with tank attached...which O rings are most likely to be at fault? The regulator orings on plenum or bottle reg? Thank you
barrel & shroud disassemble? i'm about to install a cf sleeve, any tips or spot I should take care of?
Ernest, do you know if there are stainless steel screw for the maverick, if so where can i buy them?
Hi is the valve seat different between the sub 12ftlb and full power?
Nice, was missing this from the playlist. One question. Does the steel bottle from the maverick VP unbottles the same asnthe carbon bottles do?
Yes they do

It is okay to shoot on the pellet side, but you are more likely to have the slug nose dip and cause inaccuracy.
