it's amazing to see how we went from this to thrusters and supply drop weapons
It’s so interesting to know that this song 11:07 is also the verruck loading screen.
Alex Mason (While choking Dragovich): “Viktor Reznov sends his Regards.”
0:48 "Mr Mason..."
Combined with the music and the briefing... Like humanity is on the verge of a nuclear death and all the weight is on your shoulders
This might sound controversial but imo this is the best cod campaign
Yes, I have played MW1-3
ThomasEyeThink I don’t think that’s controversial in the slightest. I definitely feel the same. It’s not your a-typical run & gun COD game, it’s very psychological and macabre as-well. MW1-3 honestly felt more so like Michael Bay flicks than grounded COD campaigns.
@@derekwadas8489 exactly.
WAW, BO 1/2/Cold War, and MW 2019 felt more grounded and realistic, while classic COD (1,2, and finest hour), the MW trilogy, Ghosts, Advanced Warfare, BO 3 + 4, WW2 and infinite warfare felt more Hollywood-ish.
COD 3 blurred the lines between grounded and Hollywood-ish.
Don’t get me wrong the storyline in the campaign in Modern Warfare series is really great but I genuinely think in terms of just story line alone, Black Ops 1 and 2 will always be the best
Definitely. There are a lot of good campaigns out there but this one had the best story.
14:00
Believe it or not, this part probably broke a lot of people's control sticks. I know mine did.
Reznov: You did it Mason! You did what I could not.
Me:Tell that to black ops 2 kravchencko is ALIVE
For BO2, after 18 years, Mason and Woods would finish Reznov’s revenge.
It’s true Woods wasn’t present to end Steiner and Dragovich back in BO1, but he would be present the end Kravchenko.
It’s optional for Mason or Woods to end Kravchenko, but I prefer Woods to be the one.
the cutscene is just epic
3:10 after 9 years I could still never find out where tf that hind came from. Lol
Interesting how the final mission takes place in the same country as the first, simply because Mason remembers the place he was in from the first mission
i love the starting cutscene. it puts random clips together as if you know what's going down.
the outro was the most badass thing i've ever seen that it made me quit my job
The Verrukt loading screen makes this more badass than it needs to be
I know the developers intend Reznov to be dead, but I always found it a fun exercise to imagine how different the final missions would be if he were still alive. Bot he and Mason were apprehended, instead of revealing that Reznov was dead, Hudson mistakenly tells Mason that Reznov tried to use him for his own ends, Reznov joins the assault on the Rusalka but after taking a shot to the gut he can't go any further and once Mason and Hudson resurface he declares their mission to be over and Weaver/Hudson tells him they're glad he's on their side, just to reinforce it a little more that he actually is alive.
I know this wouldn't be the canonical take on the story, but it would be nice if this was the case for like a secret Ultra Nightmare difficulty mode that you could get from the computer in the main menu, where all the missions post Reznov's death are slightly altered to make everyone recognise him as actually being there and Mason's redirected brainwashing attempt (by Reznov) was still in effect, it's just that since Reznov was alive all it ever did was stop him from killing Kennedy and made him want to kill the 3 bad guys even more. It would work great for a remastered/remake of the game, which I would totally buy.
wouldn’t work cause hudson had to tell mason reznov was dead in order to break the brainwashing and get the location of the numbers station
@@thepope9648 I mean, dude, if they do something like that, they can alter the story to break the brainwashing another way. Hell, maybe Hudson could lie about Reznov being dead or something, idk. Come on, try to be creative, there's always a workaround.
@@physical_insanity I guess but the original story is so good so why change anything?
@@thepope9648 Because I just want a version of the story where Reznov is alive. Headcnoning it is fine, but I really want to experience an official cut, where he interacts with Woods and Bowman and the like.
And besides, the dude spent like a large chunk of his life in the gulag, especially after being a war hero. I want to see him kick some real ass.
but I have a question guys how could mason do all of these missions by himself clearly during playing there are some missions that can't be done alone you need someone's help to finish it so how could mason finish all of these missions by himself?
Background music at 11:09 is too good. I don’t even remember what it was called
15:06. If this isn’t a representation of America, I don’t know what is.
@@diegopapias8743 Yes... because they started WW1, WW2 and the Korean War... ya goddamn moron dipshit.

Who plays this mission over and over
Just gonna ignore the fact that they swam from the bottom of the ocean to the surface no problem without any scuba gear?
@SCP Guard DCS will affect you regardless if you have helmets or breathing gear, it is the result of pressure crushing your whole body.
DragoBitch.
Devastator941 I thought that back in 2011/10 when I used to play this all day
Thumbs up for making Drago's death slow.
@@thebriceplays8886 even if Dragovich survived Mason drowning him, he still would of drowned or died from the water pressure
"All across America Dragovich has sleeper cells waiting for the signal to release the Nova 6" that still gives me chills till this day
Since my bday is one day after this mission. (Feb 27th) I played this mission and I perfectly timed the end to where I turned 21 at midnight.
“YOU TRIED TO MAKE ME KILL MY OWN PRESIDENT!”
“Tried?”
guess we know what happened and that it WASNT oswald lol
Don’t y’all miss this in Call if Duty games.
John Charles Mendiola I mean nothing wrong with that some new games are really ass
8:26 Thalassophobians won't like this
11:00 Best part
Good job on making this btw I love this campaign
😂 dragovich didn't even fight back he basically let mason kill him 😅
Mason was really good at combat you can’t even compare dragovich to mason bros been through some crazy wars
Theoretically, it is basically impossible to fight back when you are continually choked and your face gets pressed strongly underwater.
You wouldn't last a minute with such brute force.
my favorite black ops 1 mission is and always will be vector Charle
Fave moments of CoD Series:
1- Alex Mason kills Nikita Dragovich
2- John Price kills Vladimir Makarov
3- John 'Soap' McTavish kills General Shepard
4- Frank Woods kills Lev Kravchenko
5- Raul Menendez kills Jason Hudson (Yes I said it...finding out he fucked over the others and hid that he was a mole turned that)
@@GigaChadh976 Late reply I know, but maybe he accidentally mixed up James C. Burns (Woods' voice actor) and Frank Woods
idk why but that scene of hudson and mason swimming is hilarious to me 😂
13:43 When your Social Studies teacher says wrong when it’s the right answer
The only mission where no interrogation scene is present.
This mission is Mason getting ready to finally end Dragovich.
4:19 US Marine: HOSTILES NEAR THE CRATES
This is the final mission and then destroy the number station and kill Dragovich defeat the villain
Never realized but mason is wearing two watches. You can see them when ya get dragovich
something I'm curious about is that the two ships we see have Hull Numbers 68 and 72, IDK if the devs have ever mentioned what these ships are but there's two theories I have
Theory 1: Fictional Battleships, BB-68 is the USS Ohio on the official roster but was never constructed and is a Montana Class Battleship while BB-72 is not a designation for a BB as it ended with 71, I'm unsure as to what state would have taken the name
Theory 2 (Probably what they are): These are the USS Baltimore and USS Pittsburgh. Both ships are Heavy Cruisers and would probably match the hull shape much better than that of a Battleship. Plus they were actually built and were deployed most likely around that time period in the 60's and 70's tho probably near the end of their span in Navy Service.
I will also note BB-63 USS Missouri was the flagship for the operation as seen in the pre mission cutscene. As of the fleet's composition, it would at least have USS Missouri, USS Baltimore, and USS Pittsburgh involved in the fight.
Mason: For Reznov, Dimitri, Reznov’s men, Vorkuta Prisoners, SOG, Bowman, and Woods.
It’s finally time for Dragovich to meet his end.
“tried...?”
4:28 US Marine: EYES UP CHECK THE CATWALK
This is where we became legends
0:46 If you look at Weaver’s file, it says he was born in Portland, Oregon, even though Mason said he was Russian at the beginning.
His mother was Russian, but he was born and raised in the US. Can't explain his Russian accent tho
we now know what the numbers mean thank u mason XD
First or second cutscene that isn’t the interrogation.
The present story which is the final level.
I found out that nicking the opponents weapons helpful .
Mainly the ak74u along with the Galil As a secondary source weapon
I dunno, it feels like the older campaigns made you actually feel more accomplished than the ones we have now
and so dimitri was avenged
Kennedy, McNamara, and Castro sound different in zombies five.
They used different voice actors. The ones in the campaign are trained imitators, while the ones in zombies were just creating their own impression of the leaders.
Make Me feel like playing this stage but, I'm way back on the operation flashpoint paradox system On veteran mode of course as I like the challenge .
Usually play this game on regular mode though
