Great to see you and Greg together. I stumbled across his channel not too long ago. I enjoy watching both of you guys and learning about pond turtles even though I live in the desert. I do have the fine pleasure of spending time with my now year-old Sulcata who lives in the backyard.

How much I would love to live in a climate similar to Florida so I had the option to let my tortoise roam outside :(. Next year I may be able to bring him over to my mom's friend (we're considering moving in, and considering I am in uni so I don't mind travelling by public transport and he has a garden I would love to move there :D) to let him go outside for a month or two in summer. I truly feel like you should try everything within your power to allow your reptile to be outdoors, even if it's only for a month or two.

Yo Kamp Kenan! I have a Geoscelone Sulcata, had it for a few years. Use to clean it with a Toothbrush. Usually poops in bed and walk around in it. So i have to clean its legs. And when i did this around her tail, the genitalia came out. It was expecting mating or something... However! This "penis" lookalike, is it only on Males? If so, my Queen Koopa is a King Koopa.. Would love an answer! Love you and your animals! Keep it up and give Hercules a Banana for being awesome
idea for Kenan/Greg/Ed: maybe update the Galapagos/Aldabra pen, creating a waterfall, stream, pond that flows under one of your drive ways, creating 2 islands (linked pens) on either side of your driveway that your tortoises can only access between by swimming. Also, that would mean you need to get a bridge (score!) to cross that waterway. I wonder if this idea could evolve into a lesson on evolution? it could be 'educational upgrade' to one of your driveways (hmm, tax write-off? ;)
A wetland would be nice...but a new pond creates sooooo many more possibilities!!! Fish, turtles and fire sounds like a wonderful way to enjoy and relax away the last rays of a golden sunset. I think a new pond would be the way to go if you're planning on expanding or doing some special breeding of spectacular turtles. However I think you'll end up doing both eventually 😅 🤣. I took a couple years of it in catholic high school and just know the Hail Mary, which you had to recite whenever you didn’t do homework. I got familiar with it. As far as turtle pond, it would be cool to do something that caters to more Asian species. Japanese wood turtles are such great animals. Thanks for the content!
Love your idea of where you want another stream and pond combo!!! Maybe try to do a true Biotope setup? rocky 'mountain' or woodland stream setup for species specific turtles (e.g wood turtles sp.)?
If I were in your position, I would incorporate the pond where your caiman enclosure(s) are supposed to be. You know, make it one big streamlined kind of pond where the small side next to fire pitt can act as a bio filter for the big pond, so they can re-do the entire pond properly. That would make the enclosure finished alot faster. But I am pretty excited of what the choice is going to be and what it will look like when it's done.

My 2 cents for the next 🐢 pond--- putting the pond by but not connected to the rec pond and wrapping it around the house is a great idea- it can still be a marsh pond. It doesn’t necessarily need to start close to the house. It could start closer to a path/driveway and undulate up closer to the house. I’m sure the pond guys will come up with an idea that will make it look natural but not an exact replica of either of the current ponds. I’m excited to see what this will look like!
I have a question I have a 3-4 baby Sulcata tortoise 🐢 and I’ve notice the belly shell is soft and can be pushed into animal is there a problem with it?
You should remove the "Banana heart", the one where theres banana blossom, it will make your fruit sweeter and develop better since the plant is focusing on the fruit instead of developing more.

You should do a really cool long stream. You see a lot of ponds but you never see long streams that provide a whole different ecosystem.
You should consider a decent sized waterfall and stream system that feeds a pond! There's nothing more soothing than the sounds of water
If you can incorporate your fire pit into your new pond that would be so awesome. Love what you are doing Kenan keep it up.
