“The pain is gonna save you”…if that line didn’t hit you in your heart like a freight train, I hope anyone who is reading this can appreciate how music can save a life..couldn’t pull the trigger and put that gun down, because no one is coming to save you…but this song saved me from myself when no one else could, I’m still here because of you guys. That's been almost every album they put out. Especially this one and Monsters. Such a longing feeling they've left. The absolute brilliance and talent of Tim and Tyler.

I really resonate with this song - I've had an incredibly rough life from abusive parents to cancer before I was even 30 and worked so hard to love myself and be the best person I can be, leaving behind what has hurt me. Making the best of the rest of my life. Hold that bloody head up high!

You were lucky dear, but you should have not suffer so much trauma. The point of life is harmony. We are meant to be balanced organism and the universe is all balance. That is the truth. All the battle, suffering, all that seems to surround us is just mirage created by people that seek control of something that cannot be controlled. They suffer greatly, but also create suffering for others.

As a kid who grew up in a broken home at first and then homeless, living on the streets, those first few bars… they hit home.
And yes, I do look amazing in red.

As a complex trauma survivor, this song means more to me than The Midnight can ever know (or maybe they do know thus they could create this!!). Made a sword from all the pain, paint the town red, kill those demons that still follow me around ... unbelievable imagery. If this is not an anthem for (and an ode to) trauma survivors then I don't know what is. I love you!!!

I did not even know how to put a song on a loop... had to ask when I discovered this song two days ago. It's been on a loop pretty much non-stop. It is so incredible, there are no words to describe the emotions... it is so moving. I feel terrible for anyone who has not heard this. Thank you!
My daughter today played this song while spending a mother, daughter bond for her birthday. We just loved listening, as well singing along in the tale back of traffic standstill... She mentioned that you will be touring in May to London... Hope to get us tickets.. Happy days. 😊👍

The point is that darkness in us needs to be acknowledged, and handled. The pain is part of life and contributes to us getting better as humans. Finally death is part of life, so no need to panically fear it.

is it me or do the synth sounds sound a little more paired back and akin to the old synthesizers from the 80s? but the production is still absolutely top notch. Also getting a bit of a Dance with the Dead vibe from the choice of tones too. Probs my favorite track from this new EP so far

It's like a song from a rediscovered 80s action/romance movie about a detective who falls in love with a gorgeous but troubled club dancer with a fondness for red only to find out she's an ex-agent still pursued by a deadly drug lord, they're both after the same prep: one for justice, the other revenge! This is her song!
