He learned from his grandfather, and you can also appreciate how scholarly his familial background is by the fact that his mother taught him the ten qira’at of the Koran
So the answer is no shirk in Burda Sharif, how could there be if the Author himself saw the prophet sws in a dream and recited it to the prophet sws and was cured from his paralysis, that's why it's called Burda ie the cloak of the prophet sws was put over him and he was given shifa!
Great work with the translation of the verses at that speed, I've translated those same verses being recited at a much slower speed and I know how hard it was

السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَبَرَكاتُهُ Does this mean we can read the whole poem and it is fine to do so? I have had it in my Amazon basket for a while but I’m hesitant because people say if I read it all I will have committed shirk. It’s very confusing because my hearts inclined towards because it praises the Messenger ﷺ beautifully but the shirk claims are holding me back.
وعليكم السلام ورحمة الله وبركاته Yes, the claim that the Qasidah contains shirk is rejected by many scholars from various traditions with Islam. Shaykh Faraz Rabbani discusses this in further detail here: seekersguidance.org/answers/general-counsel/is-the-claim-that-there-is-blatant-shirk-in-the-qasida-burda-of-imam-busiri-true/
Wonderful. Ashamed of myself to have discovered Shaykh Dedew so late. He's one of the most profound scholars of our age.
Literally me. I was searching for good Maliki scholars of our age for years and have found Shaykh Dedew and Shaykh al-Kamali only recently.

praising the prophet Muhammed ( peace be upon him) s not shirk. It's a shirk when you equal someone to Allah.

Not only should you buy the book. Find a gathering which collectively recites the poem. The spiritual uplift is amazing MashaAllah
Read darood sharif a lot, in your own time. It will guide you to Allah swt ❤️
