Honestly, the reason Liz isn't famous like Ariana is because of two things. 1) Liz hasn't put out an album or anything as she's been more focused on acting while Ariana went for the music path 2) Liz’s voice and style is very mature and many people of this generation wouldn't be able to recognize how truly talented Liz is because she doesn't have one of those annoying high-pitched pop voices (this is not a stab at Ariana or anyone because I still think Ariana is very talented and I love her). The original is sung much quieter and is reminiscent of someone telling the story. It's beautiful and you can really feel the emotion of it. Gillies on the other hand has definitely gone the more Classic Rock angle focusing on projection and showcasing great vocals. You can still feel the emotion but it isn't as wistful. Thia cover is an exceptional interpretation of a vary well done original. in genaeral her choice of material shows more depth and maturity than the others. I think but I am far from the last word on the matter, also my opinion is relatively uninformed. so take it with a large grain of salt.

They made her the star of Victorious because she was more known to Nickelodeon at the time. She was on Zoey 101, and from what I'm guessing Dan Schneider (creator of Nick shows) wanted her to do more and get her own show. They made her the star of Victorious because she was more known to Nickelodeon at the time. She was on Zoey 101, and from what I'm guessing Dan Schneider (creator of Nick shows) wanted her to do more and get her own show.
