Congratulations on the 3K subscribers. I've been on a diet now for nearly 20 months and I think I have formed good habits to keep the weight off. I kind of have to, I am too old (63) to be able to afford being as overweight as I was, it gets unsafe. So this is for life. I am sure you can do it. Have a wonderful Christmas and good luck for that long run on the 29th!
So delighted to see the channel growing Freddy. Your videos have inspired me to keep running and go further. You’ve also helped me to think about how I manage the stress of work/work travel/fitness/life. I’m sure they have helped others too. Nice to see Morpeth again (we went on holiday there in 2022!) Here’s to more 🏃♂️ in 2025! So pleased that your weight loss journey is working for you 👏🏻 Merry Christmas to you, your family and your collie 🎉
I really enjoy watching your videos Freddy! Love the pace of your videos, your voice and the nice background music. Always watching forward to another one. Found your channel, as many others, when looking up information about Mounjaro. I started myself 5 weeks ago, the day Mounjaro came out in Belgium and could be subscribed to obese people. This after many attempts with the so called yoyo-effect as consequence when trying other diets. I've always been active, running three times a week and playing squash once or twice. However, the numbers on the scale and my body fat percentage are telling a different story. While I never felt truly obese, I started at 102 kg, and I know that without my activity, my weight could have easily been higher. It was always 'just' the food ... that's what makes Mounjaro such a great Drug. It's unbelievable how it 'just' removed the urge, the impulse, the needles need for food. I’ve experienced minimal side effects, just some sleeplessness after my first shot (due to excitement?), and a bit of a bad breath in the first week because I wasn't eating enough. Once I adjusted my eating habits and became more mindful, that issue resolved. Last week I injected my 5th dose of Mounjaro (apparantly you can get, unofficially, 5 doses out of one quick pen) and will keep myself on the 2,5mg for now. I've noticed other UA-camrs, like Mark Lewis, suggest staying on a lower dose if it works, and I completely agree. As long as I'm losing weight and don’t feel overwhelmed by food cravings, I don't see the need to increase my dose, which might make quitting Mounjaro easier in the future. At least I hope so. Not sure if it's doctors advise to just increase everytime because it's in the leaflet. In Belgium anyway for now only the 2,5 and 5mg are available, so makes my choice easier. Thank you again for sharing all your honest experiences with Mounjaro, wishing you and your family a nice Christmas and year-end. Regards from a 40-year old fellow traveler.
Hey Freddie, congrats on 3000 subs… I am 2 weeks behind you on the Mounjaro journey and I too was worried what happens when I reach my target weight… like I am mindful and I know how to eat correctly, doesn’t mean-that I always do, and the food noise, that’s what worries me, and the old 3am desire to get cheese, for me it’s a dopamine thing and I cannot sleep until I’ve had it, not hungry at all at that point, but with mounjaro that has completely gone… which is what worries me when the drug stops, I wonder if the company we use will do maintance injections
That’s actually a question I want to ask my supplier this week. If they don’t do maintenance then I may well move to an alternative. The food noise is definitely the scary part!
@ the food noise can actually be so compelling…. I hope they have an answer for that and not just about us learning about food groups, and calories, as we know that already, it’s the food noise that is the main factor for me anyway. I’ll see what answers you get.
A week behind you Freddie, down 7kg whilst still socialising occasionally but overall eating & drinking less than before!! I also walk for 60 to 90 minutes virtually every day🥾 Was wondering about the end game so this video was very helpful!! Like you I’m totally positive it will work!! Cheers
You seem like such a genuine bloke, have a great christmas and a happy new year. All the best with your health goals. I am sure by sharing your jouney so honestly and openly you are helping others.
Good job Freddy. Keep going. Always like watching you videos. I will be starting my journey on Jan 10th 2025. You are an inspiration. Aloha from Hawaii, Rob
Where ever I end up when I hit my goal, I will titration down to 5 mg for a few months doing weekly jabs( 1 every 7 days). Then stretch 5 mg to 1 jab every 10 days for a few months, then either down to 2.5mg and repeat 1 every 7 then 1 every 10……..then finish I guess!? Anyway congrats on subscribers goal passed……and have an AWESOME Xmas day with the family Freddie👍
I am using Saxenda and on a simiular journey as you and i am also anxious andout the end goal and going back to how i was . I lost 50 pounds in 3 months and hit my goal very fast. I started by doing the couch to 5km to supplement the medication. that was february 2024 . well, in novemeber i ran my first 1/2 marathon.adding running has been life changing for me, i am 54 years old and have never ran in my life . I've talk to my doctor and for the time being i am staying on a maintenance dose . This weight lose experience has been nothing but positive for me.
I done my first ever park run event this morning. 5k. I’ll admit I done bit of jogging then a bit of walking but it’s a start and in can only improve from here. Legs are killing now though
@ I was regretting my choices whilst doing it, but I was buzzing afterwards and want to go Again. My first attempt was without any training whatsoever. So it was a lot to ask of me for a first go. But I now have a time of 40 minutes to beat next time
Happy Christmas Freddy and dont be so afraid of the future it will sort out for you. I think your bad habbits will be good habbits in the near future. I believe you can do it. Inga dk.
Merry Christmas. Unfortunately I got a bout of gastro for Christmas atleast it will help for my weight loss not much indulging on food. Good question what happens when you hit goal weight hopefully good habits have been created and can do it without the help of Mounjaro.
Personally I hope I can stay on the medication (a lower dose, probably) for life. I think that's the best medical guidance here in the US currently, to take a maintenance dose permanently. I'm hoping the cost of these medications will go down in the next few years.
@@freddyruns I pay around $285 USD per month for the compounded version of semaglutide currently, but I could get it for a good bit cheaper (probably around your cost) if I went to one of the online clinics -- I like the support that I get from mine, though. I do in-person weekly visits with the nurse practitior where they administer the medication and offer counseling, I don't take it home and self-inject unless I'm travelling. I think tirzepitide is a little bit more, but I was on the max dose of semaglutide before it came out and don't want to change what's working. I think we're just in the beginning of this. Mounjaro has already blown ozempic out of the water, which blew saxenda out of the water. Even newer, better drugs are coming along very soon and we will see competition and lowering of prices over the next five years. I wouldn't be surprised if a low-dose oral formulation for the purposes of weight loss maintenance is the next big thing to be released.
Hi Jack Wiki says the park was opened in 1929,by the Earl of Carlisle,so nearly 100 years,it's been called Carlisle park. Can't see how parkrun can give it a different name? What if visitors come and can't find it,because it's name has been changed.
Slightly crossed wires I think - we have lobbied parkrun to allow us to change the name of the parkrun, not the actual park. I'm on the core team and we regularly have to deal with problems caused by people confusing us with Carlisle. However the parkrun authorities won't allow us to be called Morpeth unfortunately.

Thanks mate, have a great Christmas 😊🎅
looking trim lad!
Thanks J, feeling so good with it too 😎
I expect the focus on weight loss drug has attracted more subscribers
Merry Christmas.

What sort of price do you pay in the US Kevin? We pay around £150 ($190) per month

Where do you get mounjaro from? Would you please answer
Currently from MedExpress - I also have a referral code: AA95B2
is it easier to run, with less weight?
Definitely 👍
Do they call it Carlisle park parkrun, because it's in Carlisle park?
They do…. But it’s a very small town, Morpeth ParkRun would be better… especially when we are not a million miles from actual Carlisle 😊
Lol
So they need to change the name of the park, for parkrunners to understand.
We have lobbied the Parkrun authorities quite hard to let us be called Morpeth, but they're not having any of it unfortunately

Maybe I'm worrying unnecessarily mate but that dude came across more like a salesman than a doctor. I'd be interested to know his qualifications?
He’s a genuine Doctor mate. Definitely not a salesman.. literally haven’t spent a penny with them. So far, I’ve been ordering from elsewhere
@freddyruns glad to hear mate, Merry Christmas and I'm sure we'll bump into each other in the New Year 😀
@ let’s make sure of it Rich!
