I became Catholic in 1973 partly because of HUMANAE VITAE which I still believe is one of the greatest affirmations ever of Christian wisdom. We obeyed this as Catholics and were lonely, ridiculed, too poor for "Catholic" prep schools, and in my case, disowned. My beautiful family is my reward, but they don't attend Mass because we were so snubbed. I see many Traditional Catholic stuff online, but very, very little about anything so earth earthy as birth control and snobbery over money. People are leaving the church....I feel it left me!!! Maybe I watched this 2 years ago but it was under the context of the Amazonian synod but now we are going thru our parish synod and this talk still valid and speaks straight to me thus far Ferra is spot on. Today I tried to explain to my 90 year old mother what is going on/changes Francis means to make. She replied that it must be some clergy that are trying to influence him but that he would never make changes to our traditional beliefs. I had to leave it at that, I just added that I'd hope she's right, but we won't know till Feb/19. Poor mom, there is no way that I can in depth explain to her all that we have been discussing these last few months all over the internet. I say, prepare everyone, things will get worse as we can feel that Francis will not budge and that us, those that wish to remain faithful, will have to fight him on this, do we have a choice, giving up is not a choice.
I am 88 and that Francis was a thorn in the side of his superiors from a young age. I read a book about his early life. It was amazing how he was suddenly a bishop, an archbishop and Cardinal at a rapid pace. The book made me shudder because his early life did not make him a candidate. He was elected Pope! How, Why.

I had my first meeting yesterday with a young priest who does the Traditional Latin Mass. Told him I want to be Catholic and to teach me how. I have been Protestant all my life. We talked about what is happening with the Pope and a lot of things and questions I had and he had some for me too. I am satisfied that this is the Church I want. He respects the office of the Pope but not THIS pope, if you know what I mean. I have checked out all of them including Messianic Judaism. I am on the road to baptism; he gave me a really THICK catechism book with homework and my next appointment. Onward Christian Soldiers!

Our Lady foresaw the entirety of what we are living through, and still spoke of the final fulfillment of Her request only in terms of the Consecration of Russia: "In the end My Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to Me, she will be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to the world." Clearly we are not there yet.

As Our Lord told Sister Lucy, "It is never too late to have recourse to Jesus and Mary." There is also much that we can do, although it must be said first that the most important thing we can do is to apply ourselves to this spiritual battle with the weapons of prayer and acts of reparation for sin as Our Lady has urged us so emphatically. Only She can help us, as She told the children-seers at Fatima, so we must keep our focus on bringing about Her miraculous intervention against the Mystery of Iniquity in our time through the Consecration of Russia to Her Immaculate Heart. Her final words to Sister Lucy after making Heaven's formal request for the Consecration on June 13, 1929, were: "Sacrifice yourself for this intention and pray!" These are still our marching orders, including especially our daily Rosaries and our monthly First Saturday acts of reparation to the Immaculate Heart. Our Lady asked for five decades of the Rosary from everyone. Beyond this, the most powerful thing any of us can do toward stopping the world’s and the Church’s careening descent into chaos would be to pray all fifteen decades each day. I have had a recurring nightmare for many years: I have been looking to go to Mass and come across a most magnificent chapel, dedicated to Our Lady. However, when I entered, I was filled with the sense of evil that Malachi Martin talks about in his book, "Hostage to the Devil". Your talk, Mr. Ferrara, has made sense of this. He, Bergoglio, and his cohorts have taken our Blessed Lord's teaching and turned it into complete gobbledegook drawn from the language of psychology textbooks instead of Sacred Scripture and the Church Fathers . I agree with you and am in same situstion as you are. I decided not to attend church any more except in the case of Traditional Mass that is rare. I keep in mind to what was our Holy Mother's message that is to pray the rosary. So that is the only possible solution. She did not mention to go to church for the novus ordo. She said the Churches will be full of those who accept compromize. I do not want to be with them. Pray for them yes.

I am finding myself profoundly at home in the ancient Church preserved in Orthodoxy (crossed paths with this reality only a few years ago). I realize crossing the East-West divide is a challenge for many, but the trip back from the modern/post-modern to an integration of the traditional may be welcome!? The One True Apostolic Chuch headed by Christ then Peter and the 12 apostles. It was called The Way for many years. The Books of the Bible were put together at the Council of Trent or Nicea by the Church Fathers. They came up with the Nicene Creed which are the fundamental beliefs of the Catholic or First Christian Church based on Jesus' teachings. There were no other Christian Churches from that time until the Protestant Reformation in the 1500's. The Church Fathers kept the teaching of the Catholic Church uniform or in sink so there weren't many branches everyone was to follow the True Teachings of Jesus and later led by the Advocate, The Holy Spirit. Church Teachings haven't changed, but have grown since then. Catholic was adopted as the name of the church because it means Universal, and is the one true church in all countries of the world. No other christian church is that Universal.

I became Catholic in 1973 partly because of HUMANAE VITAE which I still believe is one of the greatest affirmations ever of Christian wisdom. We obeyed this as Catholics and were lonely, ridiculed, too poor for "Catholic" prep schools, and in my case, disowned. My beautiful family is my reward, but they don't attend Mass because we were so snubbed. I see many Traditional Catholic stuff online, but very, very little about anything so earth earthy as birth control and snobbery over money. People are leaving the church....I feel it left me!!! Today I tried to explain to my 90 year old mother what is going on/changes Francis means to make. She replied that it must be some clergy that are trying to influence him but that he would never make changes to our traditional beliefs. I had to leave it at that, I just added that I'd hope she's right, but we won't know till Feb/19. I had my first meeting yesterday with a young priest who does the Traditional Latin Mass. Told him I want to be Catholic and to teach me how. I have been Protestant all my life. We talked about what is happening with the Pope and a lot of things and questions I had and he had some for me too. I am satisfied that this is the Church I want. He respects the office of the Pope but not THIS pope, if you know what I mean. I have checked out all of them including Messianic Judaism. I am on the road to baptism; he gave me a really THICK catechism book with homework and my next appointment. Onward Christian Soldiers!

There is also much that we can do, although it must be said first that the most important thing we can do is to apply ourselves to this spiritual battle with the weapons of prayer and acts of reparation for sin as Our Lady has urged us so emphatically. Only She can help us, as She told the children-seers at Fatima, so we must keep our focus on bringing about Her miraculous intervention against the Mystery of Iniquity in our time through the Consecration of Russia to Her Immaculate Heart. Her final words to Sister Lucy after making Heaven's formal request for the Consecration on June 13, 1929, were: "Sacrifice yourself for this intention and pray!" These are still our marching orders, including especially our daily Rosaries and our monthly First Saturday acts of reparation to the Immaculate Heart.
Our Lady asked for five decades of the Rosary from everyone. Beyond this, the most powerful thing any of us can do toward stopping the world’s and the Church’s careening descent into chaos would be to pray all fifteen decades each day. As St. Padre Pio said, we must pray the Rosary - many Rosaries - every day, and we must get others to pray the Rosary.
Likewise we must attach great importance to the practice of the First Saturdays devotion, never omitting to make the Communion of Reparation on the First Saturdays, and adding the other acts of reparation (the Confession, Rosary, and Meditation) as often as possible, even after having completed our five consecutive First Saturdays. And again, we have to educate and encourage as many of our fellow Catholics as possible about this devotion, which could literally save all our lives.
Beyond prayer, then, we also need to take every opportunity that God sends us to make the Fatima requests better known. The injunction to "make it known" is repeatedly given in the Message of Fatima. One reason for this is that Our Lord intends for the full credit of Russia's miraculous conversion after the Consecration to be given to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, such that men everywhere will hail the Consecration as a glorious Triumph of the Immaculate Heart. For this to be the case, the world will need to recognize the two as cause and effect. Our Lord expects us to do our part to make His Mother's prophecy broadly known, so that when it happens, people will recognize the conversion of Russia following immediately upon its Consecration as the fulfillment of Her prophecy.

I have had a recurring nightmare for many years: I have been looking to go to Mass and come across a most magnificent chapel, dedicated to Our Lady. However, when I entered, I was filled with the sense of evil that Malachi Martin talks about in his book, "Hostage to the Devil". Your talk, Mr. Ferrara, has made sense of this.

I agree with you and am in same situstion as you are. I decided not to attend church any more except in the case of Traditional Mass that is rare. I keep in mind to what was our Holy Mother's message that is to pray the rosary. So that is the only possible solution. She did not mention to go to church for the novus ordo. She said the Churches will be full of those who accept compromize. I do not want to be with them. Pray for them yes.

I am finding myself profoundly at home in the ancient Church preserved in Orthodoxy (crossed paths with this reality only a few years ago). @Timothy Verrinder I know the History of the Catholic Church. They wrote the Bible. This is the only Christian Church that existed at the time of Christ walking on this earth. The One True Apostolic Chuch headed by Christ then Peter and the 12 apostles. It was called The Way for many years. The Books of the Bible were put together at the Council of Trent or Nicea by the Church Fathers. They came up with the Nicene Creed which are the fundamental beliefs of the Catholic or First Christian Church based on Jesus' teachings. There were no other Christian Churches from that time until the Protestant Reformation in the 1500's. The Church Fathers kept the teaching of the Catholic Church uniform or in sink so there weren't many branches everyone was to follow the True Teachings of Jesus and later led by the Advocate, The Holy Spirit. Church Teachings haven't changed, but have grown since then. Catholic was adopted as the name of the church because it means Universal, and is the one true church in all countries of the world. No other christian church is that Universal.

I am stumped that as Catholics WE do not bring the Bible, and cherry pick scriptures, not taking much into context based interpretation and the principle of two witness application is vague.
I heard the explanation of the priest about Jesus Wept passage as that Jesus cried because Lazarus who died, and there was a "human" aspect in Jesus. The message was that no matter how many Lazarus died, Jesus will just resurrect them. Jesus was sending a message to different crowd. He wept because they just did not get the message earlier about Faith, belief, he said he was the resurrection.
Jesus knows without the belief, tapping into the gifts of the Holy Spirit is harder especially when you wage a war against the unseen. Remember "the son of man appeared to destroy the works of the devil".
