6/6. I think your technique works perfectly! I struggled with the first 2 questions before the introduction of your technique and afterwards i was usually done with the question in a minute :)

Hi Jay. I was skeptical at first to follow your technique (reading the text first) because both got through the first two trial questions correctly by reading the question prompt and options first. But I was impressed with your advise. I got 6/6. It was amazing! In fact I did not expect to get a perfect score because I find it challenging and I'm more comfortable with my technique. Well, I struggled with the first 2 questions from introductions but afterwards I was fine and I got 5/6 answers.

im watching all his videos on 1.5x Hes amazing, i dont even think i need any course material tbh
5/6 What I did Jay is to read the question first before reading the text. I think its working for me.

E2 OET I read the questions first without reading the given choices (A,B, C,D) so that I will have an idea on what to look for in the text, and then go back to the choices and look for the exact answer to the question. I hope I make sense.

Your method is really helpful, I appreciate. However, I would like to dispute the answer to number 5. Option C seems like the answer because the text gives merits and demerits of using bedrails, and states that they are not appropriate for all patients. This could confuse one to pick C, but taking a closer look at the conclusion, you are right to say A. I got 5/6 by the way.

Quite confusing. However, the question says the email is reminding staff which is practically the same as 'be aware that"so the last sentence gives the answer away.

Number 5 answer is A, read about the statistics it's stated that 44,000 reports of patient fall from bed annually resulting in 11deaths while death due to bedrail entrapment occur less than one in every two years and is avoidable. From the statistics it's clear that the benefits of using bedrail outweigh the danger of using it. Thank you

In question 5, the paragraph says " bedrails aren't appropriate for all patients and their use involve risk"
And most of the discussion was about contrasting the risks and the benefits of using them. All of this implies that the decision whether to use them or not is an case by case decision which will most probably be taken according to the patient's condition.
I believe the answer should be C not A!

Hi Muhammad, the key point I think you're missing is that the article is attempting to provide empiric data that bed rails are not perfect but their benefits outweigh the risks in most cases. Us doctors use empiric data so that we don't have to make a case by case decision. Good luck!

So to summarise : part b : read the text clearly, then go to the question before choosing the answer.
Part c: read the question, then read the text extensively before choosing the right answer.
