I am so sick of people hating on kazuichi for one small reason: “he’s obsessed over sonia” yet he was so well thought of, and hearing his backstory made me cry for hours. I can not understand how people are going to ignore how nice he is with a lot of people, and add the one small reason. He is hated for being stupid, yet is still more useful then Akane, Sonia and gundham all together. He suffered constant abuse, trust issues, anxiety and so on and so forth and yet, people don’t give two shits about that. Because if you obsess over something then you’re automatically the worst character in the franchise. It’s purely disgusting with how so many people hate on souda, yet don’t even acknowledge that he also has a super rough past. In his free time events he mentions how he’s abused by his father, I also read on the danganronpa wiki that he was mentally and physically abused. He had only one bestfriend and the guy left him, he was constant ty bullied and made fun of, and in the end he had to change his whole fucking appearance for what? So people could call him a stupid simp? He is so underaprecciated, and I love him because I can relate to him. He may have been abused, while I wasn’t. But everything else about kazuichi happened to me too. I lost my own bestfriend who I trusted with so much info and personal things and I honestly fell in love with her, and one day she wasn’t even gonna plan me she’s moving cities, I had to ask her multiple times first. And she just left without a single goodbye, I am still not okay and I’m always sad or crying because of this. I was often picked on in school to, so I changed pretty much my whole image, I stopped eating and got skinnier, I cut my hair and I desperately am always insecure on various things, even eating in front of my friends is so fucking embarrassing to me, because people used to say ‘you should stop eating in front of people, you eat like a pig’ when I tell you it downgraded my ego drastically.. I am still to this day picked on regardless anymore, and I don’t wanna live at all anymore. Yet I still am, because I have so many friends that care about me and talk my way out of suicide. I feel so special around them. This is why I can relate to kazuichi very badly, because if I tried to jump off a roof, my friends would stop me like fuyu stopped souda. I wrote a whole paragraph holy- Anyways, thank you for coming to my Ted talk.
People honeslty overlook on Souda's character. He is just seen as a simp when he have so much more into his character, he was the most useful one in chapter 4 for the autopsy report + the escalator. He spend the whole night creating minimaru and Akane actually felt better after seing that. He is friendly and really helpful, but he is just downgraded as a simp from both the game and the fandom. When you go more into his character you actually understand why he love Sonia that much, he never knew how to show love and affection, that's why he is so clingy to her and he think she could be the one who help him with his trauma because of the highrole she have as a princess, and he just don't want to loose her like he loose his friend so he stick with her even if she hate him, hoping she would like him more. Honestly Souda is the most relatable character in the franchise even if he is a simp, I just can't help but love him so much and I cried so much over him, except the dad abuse and growing up in a poor family part I was in the same situation as him and he is my highest kin. That don't excuse his action toward Sonia (because it's wrong and everyone can agree) but if the game focused more on his backstory and made him a smaller simp he would be so much more loved. I'm so sorry for you I hope everything will get better soon, I'm just a stranger on the internet but I really hope everything will be alright !

I love this. 1000% yes. Kazuichi is such an underrated character. He started as my favorite Dr2 character until Fuyuhiko's character development, then it became him. I was ecstatic to learn that they were friends in high school before everything went downhill in the DR3 arcs alongside Nagito. I cried when I learned about Kazuichi's backstory. I love him so much and he gets so much hate just for being a simp.

(people always overlook Kazuichi as an annoying simp but like..he's the most realistic of the group in my eyes. He's just a scared hormonal teenage boy from a poor & likely abusive household struggling to cope with a bad situation. Hell, some of his general behaviour along with some of his dialogue in the freetimes & island mode dates make me think of an lgbt+ kid struggling with internal homophobia and at least partially just going after girls cuz that's what's expected of him. Not to mention his trust issues and struggling to believe in people despite desperately wanting to is relatable & realistic as well! ..in conclusion, Souda is just a scared, abused, hormonal, and struggling teenager. He's the most normal, most realistic, and most relatable, but no one accepts that and they pass him off as a cowardly simp.)
Frr I love Kaz because of that, he's one of the most relatable character from Dangan imo but people straight up call him the worst, while if we took the time to dig in he's not "just" a simp and there is more, the same with Teruteru

Although yes, Kazuichi has been through a lot, so has Nagito, and I feel like the part you chose for Nagito didn't fit very well. 2. (people always overlook Kazuichi as an annoying simp but like..he's the most realistic of the group in my eyes. He's just a scared hormonal teenage boy from a poor & likely abusive household struggling to cope with a bad situation. Hell, some of his general behaviour along with some of his dialogue in the freetimes & island mode dates make me think of an lgbt+ kid struggling with internal homophobia and at least partially just going after girls cuz that's what's expected of him. Not to mention his trust issues and struggling to believe in people despite desperately wanting to is relatable & realistic as well!
..in conclusion, Souda is just a scared, abused, hormonal, and struggling teenager. He's the most normal, most realistic, and most relatable, but no one accepts that and they pass him off as a cowardly simp.)

I love Kaz because of that, he's one of the most relatable character from Dangan imo but people straight up call him the worst, while if we took the time to dig in he's not "just" a simp and there is more, the same with Teruteru

1. Although yes, Kazuichi has been through a lot, so has Nagito, and I feel like the part you chose for Nagito didn't fit very well.
2. While I feel like Nagito and Kazuichi's interaction was accurate, I feel like the comparison was not.... You know, considering Nagito's parents are dead, and he doesn't really have any friends.
I think you are right now that I think about it, I didn't really know who to put on this part so I though that Nagito was the best option, but now that you said that he migh be not

@@marvinlugto7450 I was thinking of adding Hiyoko but I didn't because the sentence " everyone ignore me, everyone steals" really felt out of character for her since, like you said, she is left alone because she act like that, and the "you're still loved by everyone at home" also felt out of place considering the fact that her grandmother and mother treated her bad
This is why I go with Nagito, even tho some part is also didn't fet well, I wanted to point more the "friend aspect" of Nagito (Hajime & Chiaki becoming his friend even with his flaws) then the family
But yea now that I think about it I could've add someone else but yea what's done is done
