    The Vertex Effects Ultra-Phonix HRM delivers the blooming midrange and screaming overdrive of the ultra-rare American boutique amplifiers that players have been coveting for decades. This overdrive emulates the HRM (Hot Rubber Monkey) tube modification that was performed on amplifier #0214. This modification resulted in an expansive midrange with a burning-hot British-style tone stack. When you turn it on, it will unleash your guitar's full-throated potential with an articulate attack and smooth sustain that's reminiscent of players like John Mayer and Joe Bonamassa.

    Great playing, great sound, but the only variation of sounds came from volume changes on the guitar. Demo the settings on the pedal more please.

    It would have been a better demo if they went through all the settings of the pedal and left the tremolo bar in the case.

      I just got this and I can see why this is the way the review was done. I can't get chords to sound good at all haha 🤦

      Charles T. Those are great, but we did have the actual amplifier, so as far as fidelity to the original sound, this is 1:1 sonically: Authentic Dumble Overdrive Sound ua-cam.com/video/NL3ktX6OmKU/v-deo.html

      @@VertexEffectsInc what if you use the HRM as a preamp and use a separate overdrive in front?

    Any info on that particular guitar? Pickups? // Mason: do you play? I don't think i've seen you with a guitar in your hands. If not, doesn't that complicate the process of designing pedals? You always have to have someone else there to participate in the testing, no?

      Check out his channel, he plays. Seems that most pedal builders play and they all tend to partner with professional/ touring musicians to demo their work. Par for the course. Leo Fender is the only person who comes to mind that was heavily involved in the world of guitar who didn’t play.

    dude wtf is up with using trimmer pots as knobs on a $200 pedal?! sounds good though🤘🏻

    • @VertexEffectsInc
      @VertexEffectsInc 4 роки тому +1

      off711 more set and forget settings with those, we can send you three knobs if it’s missing critical for ya, and real trimmers don’t typically have a 9mm housing or shaft as long as a standard knurled potentiometer.

      Vertex Effects just an odd choice from a functional aesthetic point. appreciate the Goodwill but i have enough distortion/OD pedals.

      off711 they make all the difference. They give you a ton of tonal variation. The Master volume is another amazing feature. I recently let my friend borrow this pedal, a Klon KTR, the Dude, and a KOT and this way by far his favorite. It’s like playing an amazingly dynamic amp
