My friend..I'm 53 and I adore triv.. They have a mega back catalogue and I'm glad you picked up on the duelling solo's. It's what made me love this band. And they converted my wife into a metal head..well metalcore if im correct.🤔 And it was her first full blown metal gig back when we first saw them live... They are back here in Manchester in January, can't wait. They're brilliant live.. We have the mighty gojira in February too..😎🤟 Keep the faith brother... I'm a new sub..😉
7:10 the word you're after probably is "harmony", specifically dual guitar harmonies in this case. They are indeed playing different notes, just ones that happen to sound nice together (harmonizing). Technically speaking, notes that don't sound great together would still be harmonizing but they would create "Dissonance" (unpleasant sounding on the ear). Sometimes this is done deliberately for effect though of course. It's all in the application. There will be differences on the fretboard within the 2 guitar lines at times though, meaning different sized gaps of frets between the notes at times for each individual guitar line. Not just the same patterns moved up or down a specific number of frets, if you understand my meaning 😂👍
Next you do should do Insurrection or Torn Between Scylla and Chaybdis. Honestly all of the Shogun album is some of thier best work to date P.S After watching the rest if the video i realized i didn't say "hydrocortisone"😂
