1 of 1 Ford Torino - 428 Super Cobra Jet - 4 Speed Manual - Bucket Seats - 4.30 Gear Ratio
Lafontaine Classic Cars is excited to offer this exceptional 1969 Ford Torino Super Cobra Jet, a true rarity that stands out as a unique piece of automotive history. According to the Marti Report, this Torino is "1 of 1" as originally equipped, making it a distinctive and exclusive model. Further enhancing its rarity, it is only one of 170 ever produced with the powerful 428 Super Cobra Jet engine. This particular specimen is even more special as it is just one of four produced in the striking combination of Black exterior with a Red interior and a 4-speed transmission. What sets it apart even further is being the sole example featuring the w-code 4.30 rear end.
Its provenance adds to its allure, having been originally sold new at Orange Motors in Albany, New York. The meticulous restoration was conducted through a rotisserie process, utilizing original and NOS parts whenever possible. This attention to detail is evident in the correct Red Oxide primer, paint daubs, and overspray. The restoration, taking an estimated three years and resulted in a pristine example of this iconic classic.
The originality is not compromised, as the Torino boasts it's correct Cobra Jet engine paired with a 4-speed transmission. The exterior is finished in Raven Black, complemented by the original Red interior featuring bucket seats and a center console.
Documentation is comprehensive, featuring a Deluxe Marti Report, original owner's manual, litter bag, starting instructions, and the engine tag. Notably, the original dealer emblem remains intact. This 1969 Ford Torino Super Cobra Jet is not just a car; it's a meticulously preserved piece of automotive history, ready to grace a new owner's collection with its unparalleled rarity and timeless style.

Dad had the sister car, 1969 Mercury Cyclone 4speed with the 428 CJ. First car that ever scared me as it was geared to git there quick, not top end. She'd go sideways in 2 gears and scare you to think it would do the same shifting to 3rd, even with beefy tires out back. These are truly underrated muscle cars that deserve every praise they are given. Ours was red with black strips, but only a bench seat. These buckets sure add something. I would write you a check for this car tomorrow if I thought it would clear. Ha!
Spectacular purchase. I hope you make so much money on this car, you keep searching for more!
Cheers and Happy New Yeers!
All time favorite classic gage cluster
That’s true. The first and second generation 1968-69 and 1970-71, respectively carried the Torino nameplate. The “Gran” Torino did not make its debut until 1972. Hence, the Clint Eastwood movie Gran Torino but other than that you have beautiful example of Detroit muscle!
The Torino Talladega dominated nascar.
We had a new 69 GT 390 and that thing rocked!
Very nice 👍🙂
Super nice Torino!!!!👍👍👍
I ❤ it!
Shouldn't get hight just before filming, Mac.
Needs timing adjusted.
Not a shaker.
I gotta go before I get mad.
I had a friend years ago that had this car!
I have a 75 Grand Torino 400 4bbl C6. Marti Report shows its a 1 of 1. Blue with white top with white interior.
wonderful, a trip to the past on a flying carpet
No f***** way😦
Michigan uses salt on the roads in the winter, trucks in background have salt all over them. The salt powder gets inside doors and everywhere rusting out classic cars very fast, no amount of washing will remove all the salt.
Do your research better. That's not a shaker hood scoop.
Liar - No such thing as a 1969 Gran Torino
Technically no but on the door panels on 68-69 Torinos it said Grand Touring so folks probably getting that idea from that but it doesn’t mean Gran Torino, as you stated came in 72.
Very nice car, not very Gran though
