Recently subscribed and have been following your method of eating. I was an avid exerciser, loved to workout, and play sports til I was hit with a plethora of health issues. Then aging, I could no longer relay on activity to keep my body in shape or lose weight. I have so many health issues , meds makes weight loss as well. have had 16 surgeries since 2011. Anyway, following you for a while and it makes so much sense. Personally, choose a four (5) hour eating window. It is freeing. Your videos are encouraging, helpful, realistic and informative. My vice is cream in my morning coffee. I’m trying to switch to green tea, and tried black coffee yesterday. Thank you so much!
I found that I have difficulty having cream and sweetner in my coffee in my eating window when I used to have to have this all the time. Been IF for a year now and if I do have the creamy coffee it's just a couple of sips. It doesn't taste the way I remember!! I love Black Coffee!
Jackie, I'm having my first down day today! When I first heard you refer to it, I never thought it would be something I would try. However tomorrow is Easter and we are having a cookout/egghunt for the kids and there will be lots of good food. I always limited what I eat at these types of functions, skipped the dessert and still ended up feeling guilty. Not this year. I'm plannning on only eating during the cookout, so around a 3 to 4 hour window, and enjoying the food and company.
I have read up days should be at least 6 hours, just so your body doesn’t think it’s being really restricted again. But enjoy!!! I’m having a down day, too 🥳🥳🥳
@@FastingFoodie I'm setting here regretting this, not the eating but the way my body is reacting to eating all that food. I had a six and half hour window but honestly I think the problem is the two desserts we had, both so good and I decided to eat both. Yeah I know, not smart, live and learn. I'm not use to so much sugar and I am so nauseous. Oh well it was fun but next time I think I will make better decisions. Anyway it was a great day with family and friends, hope you had a wonderful day also.
I guess I do what you call “dirty fasting”. I put 1 cup of cashew milk and some sugar free syrup in 2 coffees before I eat. Yes, it breaks my fast but it is only 25 calories and not much of a concern for me
@@karimarie5886 caffeine can suppress appetite, but I have been doing this for so long that my body doesn’t start to get hungry until I’m about to eat. With fasting, you need to work yourself up to it. Start with something like 12, then go 14, and so on
Looks much easier than the hand frother I use..... but since I'm doing my best to "learn" to drink black coffee during my fasting window I best stay away from this for awhile!
I use cream and stevia sweetened torani every morning fasted or not and still lose weight. Just try things out yourself. Different things work for different people.
I love Stevia in my coffee. Is that okay during fasting window? Or only eating window? And sugar free slows down weight loss ? I just cannot do black coffee in fasting window..
Clean fasting should be nothing in your coffee. The first 5 months I did fasting I was adding stevia and some heavy cream but I decided to go to black coffee only while fasting. NEVER thought I could drink it that way but now here I am almost 2 years later 🤗
I'm not going to break my fast but during my eating window im pretty much allowed to eat what I want...right? Today is my 4th day of IF...im doing 16/8 an my eating window opens up in 3 hours. I want a can of coke SO bad but not if it ruins everything I've started.

I think we all agree..Jackie, you are so likable! I like to “foam up” my morning black coffee. Somehow it just tastes better.

Side note…. I LOVE that mug!! (And all of your videos. You have helped me so much since I started my own fasting journey !💜
I'm going to make a matcha latte right now to break my fast!!!
This was great, thanks for sharing! I use a hand-held frother and have found soy milk to be the non-dairy milk that froths as well as dairy.

When you do this, how long do you fast? I feel like it would make me more hungry?

Game changer. Gotta get me some Torani lavender syrup.. 😋
Very nice little machine. Not something I personally need, but I think it's really nice for those who like frothy coffee or tea.
I use cream and stevia sweetened torani every morning fasted or not and still lose weight. Just try things out yourself. Different things work for different people.
Very interesting appliance.. I've never thought about frothing my own milk . drinks look delicious ☕ 😋
The look in your face 😜 in the thumb nail 🤣

Yes in your eating window eat/drink what you want.
But i suggest 20 hour daily fasts. Its harder but the results are insane!!!
