- We spent the afternoon in Southend-on-Sea and I asked is it worth visiting in winter? Well not when storm Isha arrived lol
Just like most UK seaside towns in the winter most places are closed especially tourist attractions, however the worlds longest pleasure pier was open
Along with the slot machine arcades and Adventure Inside which were open every thing else was closed, we still managed to have an nice but very windy stroll along the promenade

I've followed for years - probably since nearly the beginning maybe. I always enjoy your honesty and candid takes. Tbh I do largely prefer theme park content (POVs, new or unusual parks etc) but I understand that this isn't always feasible and isn't necessarily popular. Quirky local attractions are fun to see and you're good at finding those.
I think Walk with me tim is a recipient of a lucky algorithm at the moment. His content is good and he posts regularly but sometimes UA-cam's algo just helps things along and I think he's getting that boost.

Andy, I have followed you a long time and I thoroughly enjoy your vlogs. You go to many attractions that I don't see on other streams. It doesn't matter how many views you get, if you enjoy doing them, keep doing it. As i said, I enjoy watching them and so many other people do too.

You can totally tell the difference with your new setup! Its going to be great come everything opening up again! Re winter vlogs get to the waterparks or centreparcs places like that as its at home and probably not expensive this time of year!
Centre Parcs are really expensive no matter what time of the year you go however I would love to go to one as they looks amazing ! I’m not into Waterparks, I used to be when I was younger but now not so much
Adventure island used to open in the winter when I worked there 11 years ago most stuff in Southend is open in the winter depending weather the sound is good so far mate.
Great footage, Andy. The audio was fine, and it didn't pick up the wind too much. I hope you still do themepark videos as they are always good. Maybe you could try vlogging any hotels you stop in to, sort of do a mixture of both that way no one can say that you are copying walk with me Tim

I really enjoy city/town walk videos, with some information about the place, things to see and do, where to eat, where you can stay and so on. It's mostly just fun to see new places. I really enjoy watching those types of videos more than fun fairs. An eventual longer tour of Europe sounds like an amazing idea, even I though I understand that it might be really hard to do - but honestly, just seeing new interesting places in the UK is very enjoyable as well.
Some of my favourite city walk channels on UA-cam include for example Free Tours by Foot, Walking Alice, and POPTravel - maybe those channels can give you some new inspiration. I think these types of tourist exploration videos coupled with your charismatic personality - which to be honest is probably what most of us most of all tune in for anyway - could be a great combination.
I also still think that more new museum tour videos would be fun and interesting as well. And also, if you are ever in southern Sweden or around Copenhagen, I know a lot of nice places that you could visit around here as well.

Video quality looks awesome and the audio was above average given the conditions. I like this setup even more. As for content...I watch to see you enjoying yourself no matter what your doing, so just make sure what your doing is enjoyable to you, chasing the expectations of others is a fruitless pursuit for most part. But if you want a idea there is always...narrow boating to Froghall and biking to Alton Towers call it "The Slow Way Around"...maybe I jest, or do I?...lol as always have fun.

I realize Andy but I bet my suggestion while only humorous in nature would take days instead of two hours ..sometimes life is a journey and not a race...enjoy the journey then film it.
I'm glad everything is all set up, and you are liking the new Action 4 set up. The mic is perfect to help decrease wind noise. Like you say, the onboard mic will intensify the wind noise, btw is the external mic waterproof? And I understand how it's time consuming having to post colour correction, just the gopro as the edge, only due to the over saturation.
As trying to justify Walk With Tims views, remember that he started out just doing local walks around his area in lockdown, and attracted a wide audience, of all ages, also he does a lot of research into the area he travels to, he saw the opportunity and they invested large amounts of capital into their channel, knowing they can earn the revenue back over time, alao thats there full time job, just the same with TPWW, shuarn will get all kinda of perks, with him having such a huge audience. Also these channels upload there content in 4k, I think for you to take your channel up a notch, it might be worth you doing the same on the export setting 😀
You have to think we're you want to take your channel. If you can afford to give up your main job, and invest into some travel blogs daily for 3 months, to get you started or just be happy with your core followers and the views you are racking up.
My advice and I have been following you from day one, is to keep in your own lane, and don't look at orther channels.
Also try and do a few different blogs, not just theme parks, mybe try and visit Centre ,Parcs, do the hotel theme parks, then visit the nearby towns, you might get some of the family views, that's interested in visiting the local area's. This would be the perfect opportunity to move into new directions, new year and all of that.
To be honest, I think a lot of the time you get bored just going to a fair for a quick Scott around, but I do know you do it to help the showman.
Just keep to what makes you happy
Andy you have your own style and your own character, don't change things to much.
Like orthers have said we watch and follow you, becuse of the way you deliver your blogs, you say the most funniest things some times. If you don't mind my input, try and balance the footage, from front viwe, to self viwe, sometimes I just shout turn the camara around so I can see what you can see lol.

This vlog was filmed and uploaded in 4K mate, filming in 4K does nothing for views as the majority of people watch UA-cam in their phones or tablets and they ain’t in 4K, I still watch vlogs in 720p if the internet connection isn’t great and you can’t tell the difference most of the time, also 4K uses double the amount of storage than say 1080p and takes twice as long to download, render and upload…..this 20min vlog took over 2hrs to upload lol
Yeah I will keep doing what I’m doing however the main problem I have is finding new content to film that I haven’t already done before, I’ve done seaside towns and hotel reviews of which some have done well but I’m not getting enough revenue to even think about going full time with UA-cam, also I wouldn’t give up my career to pursue something that’s just a hobby at the end of the day, fair enough if you can make a business out of it then that’s awesome but you have to have the right target audience to gain traction and theme parks are not the one !! Yeah Shawn is doing well but remember he’s had his channel well over 10yrs now, Walk With Me Tim started just under 4yrs ago and has more subscribers than all the other UK theme park vloggers put together
Also the mic is not waterproof however it will be ok in light right

I have followed you for many years along with the other channels. Just keep doing what you do, Andy. As long as you enjoy it and find it rewarding, just as we enjoy your blogs, that is the key. i ALWAYS ENJOY WATCHING FOOTAGE FROM AQUARIUMS , ZOOS AND WILDLIFE PARK. I ENJOY ANYTHING HISTORY RELATED AND GARDENS AND PARKS AS WELL AS BOAT AND TRAIN FOOTAGE. YOU ARE BRAVE TO TURN OUT IN THIS WHEATHER, THERE IS ALWAYS A LACK OF FOOTAGE DURING THE WINTER MONTHS SIMPLY BECAUSE WE ARE A SEASONAL COUNTRY NO ONE GOES OUT MUCH IN THE WINTER AND THE ATTRACTIONS CANNOT MAKE ANY MONEY. THE COUNTRY PARKS ARE OPEN ALL YEAR THE SPRING BULBS WILL BE COMING UP SOON, ALWAYS NICE TO SEE THE SNOWDROPS AND BLUEBELLS AND DAFFADILLS.

Spot on about the views while I always support you and I do love your honesty on parks rather then the ones who are just too positive to stay in parks good books. I do think the main issue is the theme parks YouTubing is too saturated I don’t want to see 1000 off Blackpool opening day vlogs. I do think that should try to get out to the parks that are not covered by the masses you get more exposure and veiws. But keep up the good work
The main problem I have is that I have visted every theme park and amusement park in England apart from Wheelgate as they won’t allow us to go in without children ! So it means going abroad which is expensive, there is still a few places in the UK I need to visit like Northern Ireland which I will be doing soon
Just keep doing what you are doing; we really enjoy your videos. The drop in views seems to be affecting everyone; it's probably youtude changing the criteria to count a view, then they make more profit on ad revenue. I am totally guessing this, but UA-cam might only push videos related to its advertisers, so if Alton Towers started advertising on UA-cam, all the UK themepark vloggers would suddenly get loads of views because it would push their videos to show Alton Towers ads.
Hi Andy, I think perhaps a lot of people will see your channel name and think it's just about coasters, so if you rebrand as 'Adventure' crazy then perhaps more people would check it out? As you do a great variety of vlogs from all different places not just theme parks, just an idea, but I think it would work, great vid as usual mate 😊

Tbh most channel names never reflect on what they film and they tend to clink on the thumbnails rather than the channel name, however you do have a great suggestion I just think I have a well established brand that people can relate too, also not having “Theme Park” in my channel name also helps as I don’t just do theme parks !! I was thinking about the name “Coast To Coaster” or “Coast ‘n’ Crazy”

How about trying Hot Tub Breaks as I know not many people know much about them and they cone with great places to visit for tourists and can take dogs , I’ve recently just got back from a Forrest Holiday Break with private Hot Tub awesome within the Forrest
I’ve done a hot tub holiday last year however I didn’t film much of it just a review and tour
I went to Southend in September for my boyfriends birthday and we had a wonderful day and the weather was amazing for it
Southend is a nice place to visit especially on a sunny day when everything is open and there is a great atmosphere
Think you should do what walk with me tim does. He is one of my favourite UA-cam rs along with slothy vlogs and you of course
The thing is I was doing what Tim was doing before he started, I’ve always filmed seaside towns and attractions plus hotel reviews it’s just that Tim has had way more traction on UA-cam, i feel like I’m trying to copy him but tbh I was doing it first lol

A factor that other theme park vlogging channels are struggling is that theme Park Worldwide is monopolising all the views and subscribers as he is normally in another country every month and no one knows how he affords he can just go out to America or Dubai or wherever whenever he likes cause he knows he will get his money back or most of it in views it’s also down to the UA-cam algorithm prioritising popularity such as Shawn sambrooke and his two channels, he seems to doing well in the day to day life vlogging style that does well with the UA-cam algorithm, there are fans out there such as myself that support you Andy and we all know you try to upload as often as you can whilst having a high paying job, Shawn thinks he can run UA-cam without working and has enough content to schedule a video every single day that how he generates the views weather it’s a pov, rider cam, news update or vlog I understand it’s hard to get permission to film videos on rides and I have no idea how he does it, some people treat UA-cam as a business or a hobby and it’s perfect for either use, just continue what you can Andy and it will all work out as you have formed a large community that love watching you videos, we all also love BEING ON THE TELLY NOW😊

Andy is far better than theme park worldwide! If you want to watch the same theme parks same narrative, watch them eat and slate every kind of food unless it’s beige and shout out every point of a coaster spoiling it for everybody else, then fill your boots! Oh and don’t forget Charlotte and her histrionics when she’s on a ride that gets her wet! It’s all so fake! I’d rather watch Andy who is real any day!
@@Laney2272 I’m honestly not praising theme park worldwide I was just explaining how he steals all the views off other UA-camrs, Andy Provides honest Reviews on places and promotes small and unheard of businesses that visiting Merlin theme parks every week, providing something new and fresh for people to watch than repetitive content, Shawn seems to think he can get away with repetitive and staged videos, certain things in the videos like Charlotte being terrified of water is likely acting to add drama to his videos to gain extra views

Your vids are good Andy and i feel you should have more subs than you do have. Agree to an extent about theme park vids dying. Even TPW dont get a load of views and have over 300k subs. Id like to see the crane channel back. Feel it has a load of potential as its interesting to watch!
Yeah thank you so much, the crane content will be back soon, I was so busy last year in the summer that I wasn’t able to film much plus I have to be careful of what I actually film on site
People these days just want to see the best and the worst. Like food, hotels, cars. You just need to find gap somewhere or use your current fan base and do foody or hotel vlogs.

Andy. I found your channel probably around 5m ago and I’ve absolutely BINGED your videos. These are my least favourite. And I’ll tell you why… not the content. Not the setting. Not the length. Quality etc. it’s because you put yourself and your content down SO much. You could film a 20m clip of you walking down a lay-by talking about bath water and I’d watch. Because you’re a relatable guy. No bullshit. A guy being genuine. Enjoying what he does. Visiting attractions, fun fares and parks.
Don’t ever feel the need to follow what others are doing. You’ve been here a long time. You’re way too harsh on yourself. You’ve provided me and my son hours and hours of fun. At least four times a week one of us shouts HEAD TICKLERS and the other shouts AGHHHHH.

I generally like your content. But if you going to have the video title as "is it worth visiting" you need to look at pros and cons. You were only on the seafront. What about the rest of the town? Is southend only arcades, Adventure Island and a beach?
I understand your content is themeparks, funfairs, etc, but the title of this vlog doesn't suggest that to me. Just giving honest feedback!
Stil love your vlogs Andy because you do something different. There are a lot of themapark vloggers especiallyin the UK doing the same thing over and over again time after time a day in the same parks trough their eyes. Shaun and Charlotte are in UAE doing the same things you did like 5 months ago. To be honest I don’t watch them all anymore just the things that are new to me. And Coaster Studios is going later this month so probably I even won’t see those vlogs anymore, following about 25 themapark vloggers it’s to much of the same. If there is some news from the world off themaparks like Nemesis is testing if you see one you seen all. When they give an option it might be interesting or if they give another inside great but that’s it. Making list of top 10s of the world, a park, a country, a manufacturer look popular to me. Personally I like it when they go in dept about a ride or the history of a park but those little documentaries are a lot of work. I also find it interesting to see how to get to some places, where to stay and how it is an the food possibilities, traveling vlogs. Editing can make it more fun but it doesn’t need to be flashy for me as long that the filming is quality. Really like your vlogs when you do something different like the fairs,museums or smaller parks also when you’re traveling out of the Uk.

Great Video with your DJI osmo action, but you shouldn't compare yourself Andy to Tim as he is doing it for a living you are not, as you have your day job and you doing this us in your spare time, I am really grateful for the videos you do. At least you don't do super chats and get people pay money and subscriptions out on your UA-cam channel, which something I don't like about Tim's channel. Personally I didn't like the intro highlights you were trying out on some of your videos, I prefer you just get straight on the video. From all the videos you have shown it's nice you adding mixture of content not just only theme parks, which we all know will be popular this year with all the new roller coasters being built.

Me and my wife love watching your videos. We also have a dog so it would be great if you continued to do dog friendly days out. After being a long term follower of yourself and your channel, mostly because of your personality and funny ways. I've been reading the comments which predominantly are geared towards the comparative figures between yourself and walk with me Tim. I think its a combination of factors why he's doing well, his content is good quality, wide variety and as a viewer after watching a vlog feel like have shared the experience and been there. By comparison Your style is completely different and from my observations largely about you as a camera facing interface for your personality and an outlet for you. clearly he has a relevant high proportion of viewers at the moment but you can't try to be something you are not so seems pointless trying to emulate him or even discuss him in respect of comparing to your own content. The theme park vlogs have become saturated and repetitive so ultimately that market is predictable. Good luck with whatever you choose to do moving forward 👍it's absolutely good you know 🐛🐛
The reason why theme park channels are struggling is because there’s only so many times someone will watch the same theme park. It’s nothing new every time, walk with me Tim travels the world and does many different reviews not just the same bog standard stuff.
I think if you want to start gaining views/subs switch up what your doing and make it exciting for the viewer to watch so when you post a new vid they go ‘ah, iv never seen that!!’ Regardless iv watched you for a while and will continue but just a little advice from a viewers prospective watching the same theme park over and over does get a bit boring.

I have enjoyed your content but it gets to the point that watching someone on different Waltzers becomes very repetitive. Tim visits many different places which keeps the viewer interested.
Also, you point the camera mostly at yourself. Tim shows us what he is seeing. We get to see more of the places he visits.
I hope you stick with UA-cam, I just think theme parks/fair vids are done. Too many doing the same venues.
You seem to like walking so explore.

It's easy to visit lots of different places like Tim does when you are making a very good full time living from enjoying yourself and basically living the life of riley, whereas Andy has to work for a living and doesnt have the time like he does. You DO have a point about too much camera pointing at Andys face rather than showing the scenery and yes Tim is much better for showing the scenery BUT only when he's on his own. When Gobby, sorry, Gabby is with him, the camera is on HER for the majority of the time rather than the scenery.
