At the 4th National Meeting of Engraving in Mar del Plata in 2017, I learned a new technique from Celia Marcó del Pont and Laura Lucero, both Professors and Researchers at the National University of Córdoba who taught the "Hectograph Course, its application in the artistic and pedagogical area", and the possibilities of applying biodegradable organic gelatin gel to create matrices for printing were a real discovery. Although the material offers many technical variants that I would still need to try, it was the elaboration of the soft gelatin matrix as an emptying of plasticine molds with drawings and imprints made directly, the way that opened the world of hectography or gelliplate to me, being the printing of stamps the preferred moment of the whole process, both for the simplicity of doing it with the direct pressure of the hand as well as the possibility of using water-based inks, both homemade and commercial, and the use of a wide variety of papers. The relief of the plasticine base is engraved in the gelatin matrix and that is why I preferred to keep it for future editions, but the possibility that the material gives to be recycled and reused in another matrix is good news. Three years later, in February 2020 (just at that time when we didn't have much idea of the coming Pandemic) I reprint the matrix made in the course with other water-based oil colors and papers and with color applications with tampons recycling latex gloves that fulfill very well the function of leather, which is the original material of the traditional tampons used for relief printing. The matrix maintained its full potential over time and can continue to be printed at any time. I found some videos made just a year ago, I edited them and I share them here. Ernesto no es necesario. Yo las guardo entalcadas y envueltas en film adherente y lejos de la humedad.
