What we see here isn't a rare occurrence by any means. You either find a way to handle the situation/speak your mind professionally or suck it up and keep it moving. Ikr? He was clearly looking at what peter was doing since he was done way earlier and was using his free time. He could've told him not to go overboard. He could've used his time to adjust his own setting (which only took him a few minutes to do anyways) so that the details on the face would be seen. Or he also could've just used the damn model of peter even if it had looked bad (which it didn't) to not be a complete asshole. It's a competition for a UA-cam video not the 3d olympics.
I think they should first have talked what they were going to do (like Sam and Clint did), from the video it doesn't look they did that. It would include Peter more into the whole process. Because unlike all the other teams, they had the advantage of speed, after the idea is decided, I'm sure Mike would do it in an hour or less. Like that whatever Peter did wouldn't be wasted. And Mike being the big artist and the mentor on the competition, he should've indeed check more often what he was doing and tell him to stop "it's good enough" before it became useless in his eyes.
Can we appreciate: 1. Sam hyping Peter at the end 2. How amazing Sam and Clint’s art turned out 3. The amazing amounts of money this helped raise for charity.

But I was so unconfortable while watching this video: then I read all the comments and realized I was not alone. He truly acts like a self-absorbed, rude and childish person. I felt bad for Peter and all the Corridor Crew. Sam’s clever roast at the end made me actually cheer.
Really sucks to see Beeple dismiss everything peter had to offer. He didn't even want to use the facial scans until he saw how they looked, peter is the shit when it comes to VFX and he really missed out.
Well I'd assume that's because of their completely different approaches to work. Peter is more about maticoulus detail, while Beeple is more about efficiency, obviously, since it's his entire brand. Of course he did express it in somewhat of a rude way, but it's not like he forced Peter into not cobtributing. The reason he couldn't get much done wasn't because Beeple didn't let him, it's because he got lost in all the details of the head, and it was all he got done in the short time avialable. And it unfortunately had to be cut, it was a mutual decision to not have it included, he agreed with Beeple's criticism, and there wasn't any time left to refine it. It's a shame that it had to be cut, but it wasn't because of Peter not being allowed to work.

@@rebotsomat Well yes, I get your point. As an artist Beeple knows best. He knows exactly how much detail to add, when to stop, what to keep and what not to. He’s got it all in his command. That’s definitely accurate
If you watch render challenges Peter usually doesn't follow the rules, doesn't complete the project or goes off and does his own thing.
Beeple probably taught him to hit deadlines and not bite off more then you can chew with a weird 6 eye fave render.

But I was so unconfortable while watching this video: then I read all the comments and realized I was not alone. He truly acts like a self-absorbed, rude and childish person. I felt bad for Peter and all the Corridor Crew. Sam’s clever roast at the end made me actually cheer.
Beeple seems to want to be unlikeable.
Really sucks to see Beeple dismiss everything peter had to offer. He didn't even want to use the facial scans until he saw how they looked, peter is the shit when it comes to VFX and he really missed out.

@@vgjournals Exactly.
@@vgjournals I fully agree, I'm glad the money goes to something good, but it sucks from a creative standpoint
lets not forget this is corridors channel! people here are learning about beeple, not the other way around.
Really glad to see the comments about how Beeple treated Peter. I think it was really fucked up that he just scrapped Peter's work. If Peter did anything like that for me I would praise it. Peter you're genuinely an amazing artist of your own sort and so fucking talented. I could see you holding back throughout the video.
Dude felt bad and he was having trouble even hiding it.
@@bWWd0 you saying beeple's goat (and him being the literal GOAT in the picture) is the pinnacle of what was achievable with Peter as his team mate?
Come on.. rejecting is one thing, but at least TRY to cooperate and exchange ideas. Don't just be a one man show and scrap your team mate's work after it is done..
He's obviously not a team player and this wasn't a lesson for Peter. This was mainly Beeple being cringy af.
@@bWWd0 he was just disrespectful for the sake of being disrespectful he didn’t have the right to shoot down his idea for no reason, especially after going on and on about not caring about whether his art is good or not. it doesn’t matter if he’s an artist, anybody who does that is just a jerk
@@bWWd0 it had nothing to do with the art industry at all, it was the way Peter was treated and Beeples complete lack of respect for Peter he acted like his word was final and making things extremely difficult for Peter everyone in corridor is uplifting and bring everyone else in corridor up which breeds creativity there is never an aura of negativity in any of there videos or the people who work at corridor from what we see here or on their socials. The people at Corridor work together to have constructive criticism on projects and ideas, instead what we see from Beeple is blatant rudeness and lack of respect for Peter and straight up shutting down his idea he'd been working on for over an hour and a half. The challenge was to work as a team and Beeple's lack of respect for Peter was one of the biggest problems among other things. Sam says it himself "Peter is one of the BEST VFX artists he knows". This wasn't about the industry or any of that stuff this was about Beeple's attitude and behavior that he not only brought to the video but Peter directly, Peter is a great artist and has an extremely great creative mind and we get to see it in the videos, he deserves better and we all here know it, enough said. #ReleaseThePeterCut
Peter was so mature throughout the whole video. Beeple was so disrespectful and was so full of himself and just deleted Peter’s contribution. What the heck. I feel so bad for Peter:(
For a good reason. Part of being an artist is knowing when to stop adding detail. If he had left himself a better backtrack point, then he wouldnt have told him that. Everyone in this comment section needs to learn to understand criticism. He wasnt being malicious, I dont see the beef. A lot of artists are like this. Hell, even Corridor dogs their own, the only difference is that beeple swears a lot.
@@rebotsomat Well yes, I get your point. As an artist Beeple knows best. He knows exactly how much detail to add, when to stop, what to keep and what not to. He’s got it all in his command. But that is also because he is working alone as an artist, with his insanely stunning masterpieces. However, I just can’t see why it is so difficult to let go and try something new for a change. They were supposed to work as a team but they didn’t because Beeple’s visions took control, and left Peter in the background. I understand that it is tough to let go of the control, because sometimes it’s just much easier to do tasks alone, by yourself. You’re the only one knowing exactly what’s going on inside your head. But since this was just a fun and down-to-earth competition, the artwork didn’t need to maintain the high quality as Beeple’s usual art. The competition was just for fun. The result was not meant to be sold for millions of dollars as Beeple’s past artwork. Perhaps Beeple could have learned by trying something a little different and by letting go of his visions and control. I don’t know. But again, I get your point! :-)
@@magnusstephansen4442 I understand you as well, now. Beeple does seem to have difficulty in teaming up, and yeah, probably because hes used to going it alone.
