A big reason why this has happened in this “new” era. Is because of 3 things. Money, social media fame and babying guys. This guy is a 23 yo. He isn’t a kid. He is a man! as a man you have a lot of responsibilities. Self accountability and self awareness are a big part of maturity. My father told me great advice as a kid. Before doing something, think of the end outcome and what the consequences could be regardless of the rewards.

I was once lucky enough to bring my high school BB team to a Laker game, back in the 90's. A friend of a friend had connections, and we got to visit with the team in the locker room before the game. As I entered, too fast I literally ran into Shaq. Kinda bounced off of him like a gnat. He reached out and said, "Sorry," instinctively. This mountain of a man, rich beyond the wildest dreams of Midas, saying "sorry" to me, a total nobody. even though it was my fault., Never will forget that. He always praises his mom, and rightly so clearly, she raised Shaq to be a sincerely nice person. Then there's this kid Morant. Doing the things that dumb white people assume all black men do. Shaq's anger with Ja was clearly well managed, but he has every right to be angry with this punk.

The biggest problem about a young team is age, not that a team full of young players is bad- that’s setting up the future. It’s just that when one of the oldest players on the team is Dillion brooks and you see how he acts, then there’s no way the team is doing well in the locker room. They probably could’ve just signed an old head that was pretty good in his prime to just be the big brother voice- he could play like 3 minutes a game, but if he had decent experience then he could still help lead the team. Seriously tho that’s crazy that Dillion brooks is one of the oldest in the team. He acts like an 22 year old that keeps talking shit.

I like that Shaq delineated between a "mistake" and a "dumb decision." You might not know what you did was wrong, or you might know that what you're doing is wrong and you do it anyway. What I think Candace missed in what she said, is that sometimes, the most jealous people are your "crew," and sometimes they have no problem sabotaging you or letting you hurt yourself. You have to figure out who to prune.
