LIVE IRISH MYTHS Episode

We are now emerging from the longest days and the lowest ebb of the sun here in the northern hemisphere. For the past five days, the public has gathered at the ancient monument of Síd in Broga (Newgrange) to witness the sunrise as its light entered the interior of the monument. Anthony Murphy recaps the celebrations.
He also reads from a poignant section of his book, 'Newgrange: Monument to Immortality', recalling the deeply moving and transformative experiences that some people have had while witnessing the winter sunlight in the chamber of Newgrange.
