That was a dangerous finish with the flagman in the middle of the track and those LMP2 cars at full speed fighting for the win.
This is why the flagman at the end should be abolished.

@@TheInkPitOxthose who've been operating this race knows what they're doing. there's little to no risk to the flag bearer considering the track is wide and also the finish line is on the main straight away.
@@sunny-sq6ci Little to no risk? It's a live racetrack and cars were still battling for the win. Frijns was inches away from killing him - why take the risk over something so unnecessary for the sake of 'tradition'?

Some were on the final and accurate, but less and less they were if leading to specific behaviour
If it matters, what you were on the competeing long time from now, there must have gotten broke some old records, right.
I love racing so much... 2 things. 1: I wish there were like 2-4 more hypercars, even after watching Daytona I just wish there was a few more. And 2: I wish racing wasn't just for the rich. I know the latter will never change, but that's the reason I couldn't get into the sport as a kid. :/

Looking at the whole 24 hours...
Car 41, they got a very bad luck on last lap, they should win LMP2.
And still loocking on LMP2 for minimum last 12 hours...
Can we assume, that KFC (car 28 - Jota Sport) should have faster delivery than McDonald's (car 65 - Panis Racing)?

What are "slow zones"?
slow zones are done from one marshall post to the next, in this zone you can only drive 80 km/h it exists as a method to prevent having to put a safety car out and lets cars keep their time advantages while still neutralizing the race in that püart of the trakc where marshalls are working
Why are they wiping down the windshield? Don't they have tearoffs?
they have tearoffs, however if thew would tear off one at every they would have to put on A LOT of them, so they prefer wiping them off at most stops
I have NOT liked the finishes for years .The way the overall leaders slow down (for the photo finish) and cause a hectic situation for the other classes right at the finish. You talk about 2023? America may be on FULL lockdown by then.
