One of the best boss themes i have heard. It dont need to be a "im all pumped up! lets beat it!"-themed songs. This song fits the final boss so great. Since the Boss itself isnt "bad". It merely tries to protect the world as it is. This Song displays so great the struggle of our heroin within herself about to defeat it. Protecting the world or saving your sister in hope, that the world will recover and be ok again?
It has that finality feeling, like "I will put an end to this and everything bad will disappear from now on". Kinda... if you were realizing your full potential and you would save the world, gathering up your full confidence and being sure of it. I never played the game nor watched any playthrough (i want to experience the game in first-hand) but I know this song like more than 10 years now and still listening it.
This song makes me cry without fail. Not just one of the best boss themes but one of the best tracks I've ever heard. The start has a sort of melancholy and despair, but as it continues there is hope; stand up and keep moving, because that's the only way forward.
andrew harjono Naw man, everyone has their own thing that gets them in the gut. MARIA is one that deeply resonates with me, hence my emotional response. To each their own, y'know?
+LusatR Makes me cry too. I think most people are overly afraid of showing emotion, if anything. Crying is a form of stress relief or just a response to strong emotion -positive as well as negative. Some people are more sensitive than others so may need to cry more often. Doesn't mean someone's weak or foolish that they cry; it means they're human.
The chord progression here reminds me of Christopher Tin's iconic Civilization IV theme song "Baba Yetu" :') Lovely tune. Atelier Ayesha's filled to the brim with bangers
only have to say... well for me this is good very good but i liked the final boss of atelier escha more well the best of them is not the final boss but the bird... o that bird...
@@evarchavex4800 Oh don't get me wrong, all 3 songs are absolutely amazing. First playthrough I listen to all the original boss themes, then switch it up with songs I think fit after.
The game was kinda average but this song... It's definitely one of the best boss themes ever. The music overall fit the theme of the game much better than most games do.
Keithgriff isn't as nice as he appears. He's an extremist who has actually injured people in terrorist attacks. That said you can't really feel bad for the boss because unlike it's counterpart, Odelia (the protector of Knowledge), Yggdrasil had become obsessed with it's task to "preserve humanity" and thus began to spirit away humans without discrimination and even enslave their souls as puppets for him to communicate and interact with the outside world. Plus Ayesha's region is one of the least affected regions in the world of Dusk so it makes zero sense for Yggdrasil to start his humanity preservation protocol yet. the worst affected was the "Sea of Dusk" where Lotte and Stella live, and middle of the road is the End of the World and Land of Dusk where Escha lives.
atelier games and mana khemia had some of the best music in jrpgs. shame that im not a fan of the gameplay and story (i prefer your "save the world" plot device like dragon quest and final fantasy)
The story is laid back but the core of Ayesha is still that a mysterious being kidnapped Ayesha’s sister. Though the fact she gets saved no matter what is kind of disappointing (the elder alchemist rescues her if you fail).
lol I had King of the Wolves set as my boss BGM from Atelier (Lily? Judy?) for my first playthrough, so I completely missed this song. Second playthrough, I give it a chance and it really fits!
I wasn't able to finish in the time limit I get there with 2 days left and I am unable to beat the boss after 15 tries so I left the area and it ended game
No, you fought what was essentially a combination arboreal supercomputer / long-distance teleportation coordinator / emergency medical evacuation system that had gone haywire in an alchemy-based technological singularity centuries ago and became too focused on the performance of its jobs to actually care what happened to the people it processed. I honestly thought it and the other Dusk final bosses worked really well in the context of a post-apocalyptic fantasy world. They're not villains, they're simply pieces of technology that strive to maintain their purpose even as they completely lose sight of what they're actually supposed to be doing.

I just want Ayesha to be happy.

LusatR the song does give me goosebumps, but cry, thats a little bit overly emotional dont you think?

Totally agree!
Especially the electric guitar at 4:00, even more so when you know the reason behind this fight.
I honestly say a tear come out of my eye listening to this
Same here. Every time.
I've never played this game in my life, but this song is so good! Thank you very much for uploading it!! 😁👍
Yes. Because this song is beautiful. Imagine how much it would move you if you played the game.
True, the very meaning behind this battle is awesome. Atelier is SO underrated =/
i just started escha and logy (ive only played iris 1) and WOW what a fantastic series
The only series where i played all the damn game except those didnt get any english translation like in the ps 1 era,
Everybody should play this game now that it was released on current gen consoles, you'll never regret it :')
I have the physical copy of the trilogy on the switch, im playing through all the modern Ateliers (Rorona onwards) and im close to beating Ayesha.
Second best use of the four chords of pop I've ever heard.
You.
You just mentioned the four chords of pop.
And now I can't stop hearing the vocals from that "The Offspring" song over this track.

Really fits the last boss. Great song!

Lovely tune. Atelier Ayesha's filled to the brim with bangers
"Don't worry. It'll be alright. Your sister will find you soon."
(may have gotten that a bit wrong, couldn't find an exact quote anywhere)
Ayesha 😢
Really glad I picked this up again and finished it, got a nice track out of it :)
I came from Osu! and I'm just glad for stumbling upon this.
a dying world, still hope there is... the heroes of the dusk world!
Just finished this game the other day
Great game... and great song...
time for 2nd playthrough!!
This is amazing!!
Is that natural ? Tears is falling... I feel sad...
And I don't even play this game...
RPG music is the best!
Haven't played, but I would fight a boss eternally with this stuff, damn...
Then play this game. You won't regret it.
me either, too bad i dont own a ps vita..
Just curious, how did you get here then? Me, I got here from Umbral Soul (free game for pc with this theme also for its final boss).
great news thats about how long the fight goes for
@@dualia-s74m Its released on Steam now if you're still interested.
A lot of bgm and songs from Atelier series are pretty good. Check them all out so u guys won't regret :D!
really wish i liked the game to have gotten this far. the song sounds beautiful!
I used this soundtrack for all the final bosses in the Dusk trilogy. God damn what a song.
only have to say... well for me this is good very good but i liked the final boss of atelier escha more well the best of them is not the final boss but the bird... o that bird...
You missed out then. All three are amazing

Odd that NISA doesn't have a release date for this yet since it came out in Japan months ago. I was hoping spring 2013.
I come from Umbral Soul... now I want to play this game haha. Looks neat :)

i felt sorry for killing this boss but i had to rescue ayesha sister! ahh the feels!! ;(
Quick question. Was it hard to finish the game in the time limit? Just started yesterday.
no, you have plenty of time to do the main story, but if you want all the extras you need to follow a guide in your first run or play a second time.
I didn't feel sorry because I'm kinda biased towards mah boi Keithgriff
Keithgriff isn't as nice as he appears. He's an extremist who has actually injured people in terrorist attacks. Sick gaming music omg
Is it just me or does the leitmotif remind of Acecombat? Or is it just that both are equally as awesome? : D
I need to keep trying to get all the endings but I keep forgetting or putting it off.

It's for little kids
It comes out March 5th in the U.S.A.!
How come I can't seem to find tabs for this anywhere? It's a fantastic song and surely I can't be the only one to think so?
here are the chords, at least...
first part = G# m / E / B / F# (repeats)
second part = E / B / F# / G# m / E / B / C# / D#
repeat whole structure
@@junzeroni Very unexpected! Thanks a bundle, friend!

Then replay the whole game trying to get the most out of everey day and thinking well before starting a long journey in order to save days.

i mean, this theme is nice but you fight some random totally unrelated flower dragon, that somehow ended to be last boss
No, you fought what was essentially a combination arboreal supercomputer / long-distance teleportation coordinator / emergency medical evacuation system that had gone haywire in an alchemy-based technological singularity centuries ago and became too focused on the performance of its jobs to actually care what happened to the people it processed.

This song lyric DOES have a meaning.
