Pronounced Coll win - Colwyn. lol, a Y is an i in Welsh. Then Pontypridd- double dd is a sort of TH sound. Here to help. Welsh is hard. So grateful I don't have to explain LL, it's impossible to explain. Great vid again. Tomi Caws would be a great guest to have on. Ex reporter does the Men in Blazers videos.
FYI info Josh....(as you seem interested in correct pronunciation of welsh phrases/words).It's Coll-winn Bay.....at least that's how we say it around here.
I'm sure that we are reaching out to clubs showing interest in players but I think with just a full healthy squad we would be set. Still praying we can get Okonkwo on a permanant though!
Doubt we will fill out the allocation due to the day and time. Wrexham is a working town. My hope is we get folks pulling for the club close to Everton and others from the NW. terrible time and date.
Looking forward to Richard Williams interview. Several months ago I subscribed to the Leader solely for his coverage. A fine writer. Also he's almost always in Welcome to Wrexham whenever anyone is interviewed. He's usually right next to whomever is being interviewed. So happy for him! Ask him what his newspaper beat was before Wrexham and also how his job has changed since the takeover.
Chances are …. No one going out on loan will likely make it back into our first team. The move up into League 1 will make the move back in to much of a jump. You need to be consolidating your position in League from year to year to allow loan players time to break back into team.
Hopefully, if the players go out on loan and don’t come back, they can better their careers at another club. Additionally, Wrexham choose to sell after the loan, and the funds can be spent on players wanted by the club long term.
I’m disappointed that the game cv blackburn is on a weekday- feel like it will affect the income for the club. blackburn have a hard time filling seats allegedly and its a long way from wrexham. wrexham.
@@thelocalpunditWhy are you so convinced you’ll win when you’re playing a team two divisions above? Regardless of form, you have no right to be expecting to win 🤣
I also watched Ollie Palmer interview. I found it interesting that he wants to end his career at wrexham and play until he's 37. I know some podcasters are saying he should be let go when his contract expires, which I think is fairly soon. What do you think? Do you think he will be offered another contract?
@popculturista In Ollie's case, and I'm not ITK, but I believe everyone that is currently at the club is all in for the right reasons. Parkinson talks about "the right characters' in the dressing room. Shaun mentioned this on our show the other day... Ollie has done incredible since joining, and has given everything for the club thus far... At the end of the day, it is a business, but I personally... And this is only my personal opinion I can see him being kept around longer for not only his football abilities, which are evidently beneficial to our success, but for what he does inside the dressing room. Happy to have you on the show to discuss further as well as anyone else for a tlp round table.
Thank you for the note. It’s a winnable game in my opinion, because we’ll be up for the match, our players always give full effort no matter what the opposition. You’ve got to believe in your club to win. Granted we could get smacked up too… if we do fair play. Also, it’s a cup tie and anything can happen! 🙏
@@thelocalpundit Certainly you have to believe but I’m not sure winnable is accurate. Granted the home ends will be near enough empty as they always are against the small clubs and less glamorous ties in the cup, but our manager will likely put out a strong team to try and gain some momentum - that will include the Championship top goal scorer. We’re in poor form, but our squad ought to be sweeping aside the likes of Wrexham and if we don’t, there is something majorly wrong.
All great points - you should win the match, but that's why we play the game. Szmodics has 16 goals, but you're still in 17th. That said, the Championship is one of my favorite leagues, and is incredibly competitive. Again, if we lose... We lose, I'm happy to hold my hands up - But I feel it is a winnable match. I'm looking forward to the challenge and the match. Come on the watch along if you're not at Ewood. Always welcome on tlp!

My English is bad, I hope my Welsh will come along better 🔥- I’d love to get Tommy on- I’ll try and reach out to him. 🏴

@red_snappa - thank you!!! 🙏
Thought I’d add too, Pontypridd is pronounced essentially Pont-uh-preeth. Yn Cymraeg “dd” is a sound like “th” in the words the, this, etc. :)

Agreed - I hope that happens as well for AO. He’s part of our future and our solid spine for the team.
I'm still confused about how money 💰 works in this league?
@@mardigrasw Good note - I’ll work on getting someone on the show who can help with the logistics and we can discuss.

I hope we come close - it’s really a tough day - FA Cup Monday??! Maybe some travelling worldwide supporters will be able to attend! 🔥

@popculturista I agree- I've subscribed as well. I really enjoy his coverage. I'd love to have him on regularly. I will keep you all posted!!
that Crawley game on the 27th for Jan is also postponed due to FA cup on the 29th.. add that to the list of games that will pile up.
Correct- they didn’t update their website. My apologies- 🙏

I agree - A Monday night game - FA Cup tie makes no sense. Let’s go win it and get a good home tie in the 5th round!

OK Spielberg.
🎟️ I’m working on fixing it.
Borrow from the best… 🎬 I’ll get it sorted out.
A really winnable game? On paper you have no right at all to win this game even though Blackburn are in terrible form. You are a League Two side.
