    I was so excited when I saw Sara Gamble was on the show here. I have followed her since Supernatural. She’s an amazing storyteller. And Magicians after that. It was through her social media that I learned about you when it came to Netflix. It was the first place I saw it. Another great show

    i relate so much to Sera but in different ways, i was homeschooled until high school and raised incredibly religious. i was ""gifted"" with words which all the adults in my life loved and praised me for UNTIL i started to speak my mind openly. women were not supposed to have opinions in the cult i grew up in and my opinions were always very against the church/fundie cult and pro-LGBT rights/bodily autonomy. went to a Christian high school and multiple Bible teachers humiliated me in front of the class and told me why and how i was wrong (in their eyes) because i said gay people should be able to get married and people should be able to decide if they want to have sex outside of marriage or not. they didn't like anyone challenging their beliefs, especially not a loud little 5'3 girl who (admittedly) thought she knew more than them haha.
    amazing episode and Sera is definitely a new role model of mine

    I hate that Penn questions his portrayal since "Joe is so likeable." I don't think Joe is likeable at all; I think the viewers are just weird, tbh. I hate Joe. I actively root for him to be caught or offed when I watch the show. It's not a fantasy world with magic and monsters. It's set in reality, so I view the show through that lens. I think a lot of people view it through the lens of "it's a tv show, not real, so it's ok to like the killer." I can't operate that way. I love Penn, but I loathe Joe. I think that means he's done an excellent job.

      Joe's great tbh. It's perfectly understandable why you should hate his guts. But his character is very three dimentional, and he gets a lot of empathy from me. He is definitely a bad guy making terrible choices for his own self grandeuos needs and psychosexual impulsives, sure, but to ignore the depth in his character is not doing him(the character) justice. I suggest looking at the world through more than one lens. Perception is a tricky thing and only looking through one window will hardly change yours.

      @xHarlequin Рік тому +12

      He is absolutely painted to have likeable traits, and the duality makes the show entertaining. Nobody in their right mind would root for him in real life, but it doesn't make the viewers weird for liking a fictional character.

      @@donatedpizza I stopped feeling empathy for him when I realized he was a psychotic murderer, literally taking people’s lives from them. He is relatable to a degree, so I do find myself laughing alongside him and agreeing with him at times, but feeling bad for him and liking him?! 🤦🏼‍♀️ Nope, that suggests some real lack of morality because there is no other lens when it comes to crimes such as rape or serial killing, the brutality and entitlement linked to both is loathsome and so your lens is definitively skewed if you’re suggesting to the initial commenter that they need to change their opinion on the dude who is killing people left, right and center. 😂

      I think he's gonna die in a way that takes the romantic haze of his past crimes away.
