Really, I expected that Fiipino dances were more exotic but folkdances and music have a lot of Spanish influences, including this Jota. Per example, the famous folkdance Carinosa title comes from the Spanish word "cariñosa" = loving girl. Sorry for my English. I speak better Spanish.
Jaime I yes. Its actually mixes. The ethnic dances you were hoping to see can be seen in Mindanao reference dances. Most of Luzon and Visayas dances are very much spanish influenced.
