Dude, the halibut here on the oregon coast get huge and they are yummy! The price of store bought is outrageous. Its more sought after than cod. Anyway, they halibut are found anywhere from 200 to 800 feet down. 44 inch halibut is 50lbs, try muscling that up from 250 feet! Electric reels are like a must have. Thanks for the review. Seems like a good reel for the price.
Thanks so much for watching everyone! Just launched the beginning of my channel and im working on publishing 2+ videos per week around fishing and learning how to fish South Florida! Please make sure to help and support the channel by hitting that subscribe button! Hope you all enjoy!
How are you liking that reel after using it for awhile? I'm doing my first loooooong overdue Pulley Ridge trip next month and deciding whether to rent an outfit or buy yet another setup that will get used once a year. Great channel, Key West native here, grew up in Miami now way up north in Palm Beach, subscribed. Lots of excellent info in your vids, you should have way more subscribers.
Reel has been awesome! I love the assisted drop. That’s awesome. It’s a big investment esp with the rod etc. ah key west! That would be a dream. Maybe one day I’ll get there. Moved around a lot huh! Appreciate the support! Hopefully the videos help someone somehow!
@@liquidambition Thank you for the reel update, I'm trying to do more offshore and deep dropping is a lot more fun than it sounds. I've only done it a few times out of Boynton so far with tiles and rosies. Looking forward to your vids, you share lots of good info.
Hey mate. Have you caught any decent size fish with the reel yet? We get some pretty big bar cod and blue eye trevalla up to and over 30kg (70+lb) here in Australia and was wondering if you think the reel would be up to it? Cheers mate
I’m sure it would make it! Nothing that big yet around here but I have seen people pull up sharks with it! Best of luck and thanks for checking out the channel!
