Mine, too :-) I really do love this analysis. Kylo's comparison to Mr. Darcy is magnificent!!! I must say that my favorite part of TFA is the final duel between Rey and Kylo. It breathes the sexual tension. I must admit it seems to me like the raw love making (sorry :-)) with all the sounds, all the loud breaths, moans, groans and with their face expressions. And I have read a brilliant analysis in this reylo.skyforum.net/t53p325-virginkylo-yea-or-nay - on some pages there is written about the ending of this battle: the one who loses their "virginity" is definitely Kylo (lying bleeding on the snow, torn, hurt to the core!!!!!!!!)
I don't know if someone's talked about this already, but the reverse Anidala theory goes even further. Kylo's story starts out with him massacring a Jedi temple - Anakin's story ends with the same thing. In Anakin's last movie he knocks out Padme - In Kylo's first movie he knocks out Rey. Kylo starts out wearing a mask that becomes nonexistent in the next movies - Anakin ends with a mask that was nonexistent until then. Kylo starts out as a pawn to Snoke - Anakin ends as a pawn to Sidious. Anakin ends with rejecting a father figure - Kylo starts with killing his actual father. In Anakin's second movie he gets a cool face scar - In Kylo's second movie he gets a cool face scar. In Anakin's last movie, he's trying to prove himself worthy to the Jedi counsel, but his "compassion" for Padme holds him back - In Kylo's first movie, he's trying to prove himself worthy to Snoke, but his "compassion" for Rey holds him back. *These two are all speculation* Anakin's mom dies in his second movie, which motivates him to turn to the dark side - It seems very likely that Leia will die in Return of the Jedi, most likely because of the First Order, which could motivate Kylo to return to the light. In Attack of the Clones, Padme and Anakin team up - It seems like in The Last Jedi, Rey and Kylo will do the same thing. That's just what I've been able to figure out. If anyone else has more parallel's I'd love to hear them.
I hope Reylo becomes romantic and ends happily. It just feels really really right and epic and amazing in all ways. These two are so alike and would be such a good and powerful pairing. Please PLEASE Disney give the beauty that is Reylo to the world, we need this!!
Unfortunately, I have a feeling they're going to leave Rey single (because "why does a woman always need a romantic interest!!! sexist!!) and probably have Poe and Finn hook up. Which is just too terrible for words
Kawthar Bakhach sadly daisy riddly comfirmed she will have a romance in the force awakens and future movies. And John (Finn) confirmed he doesn't have a romance in the movies since he is a stormtrooper all these are new to him.
When it cuts to Rey after Kylo says "What girl?!", she says "It's the motivator!!" Maybe it's hinting she will be what motivates him to come back to the light? Always love your videos!
I became a reylo shipper after tlj, so now I've been devouring all these reylo videos I ignored after tfa, and I have to say, you guys do some of the best!
Thank you!! Star Wars has a history of opposites falling in love. Reylo isn't about Rey falling in love with Kylo Ren. It's about her loving the *good* in Ben Solo, which _no one_ should find objectionable.
Anakin was betrayed by his romantic love (when he thought Padme was with Obi-Wan) and saved by familiar love. /Tlj spoilers/ Kylo was betrayed by familiar love (Luke trying to kill him) and will be saved by romantic love. Star wars is indeed poetry.
It’s so fun to go back and see these videos now that they took such a huge step forward with this ship in the Last Jedi. I saw the chemistry but I never thought in a million years they’d go down this road. I’m so glad I was wrong!!
I am becoming so spoiled with this podcast uploading every week lately !! I literally choked on my drink when "It is you" was pointed out. Holy cow, the fairytale references just don't stop appearing , I LOVE IT!! 💖
my mom and I we're watching rey and kylo's fight scene in the snowy forest and when they locked their lightsabers and stare at each other, my mom commented "You two this is not the right time to be flirting". I laughed coz my mom doesn't know about Reylo and even she can see the chemistry between them hehe.
They already ruined Han/Leia by breaking them up, and the chances of Jyn/Cassian ever happening, and we all know about Anakin/Padmé. So, if Rey/Kylo does become canon, I do hope it's a definite happy ending.
Sunzu49 I shipped Jyn and cassian so much too bad they both died at the end. When they were hugging at the very end I was just thinking in my mind "KISS KISS KISS KISS" but I think they did a good job with it. It'd probably be hard to make a good romance story in rogue one without it feeling rushed
That's awesome! We saw it reblogged on Tumblr and had not been able to get the origin. Do you have a Tumblr? We can put in a link in the credits if you like, or just your username here.
I've started to rewatch your videos because I'm so sick of the fanboy backlash and them still saying that Kylo was lying to Rey and she could still be a Skywalker. I've followed you for two years and I need your methodical analysis and explanation of Reylo. Plus, I think the pics you show during the vids are lovely Reylo art and some are just funny. Keep up the good work. 😉😉
Star Wars Connection I really hope Reylo is a canon thing and maybe it won't go all sunshine and rainbows. Now, I also want to point out since Star Wars, as of 2012, is owned by Disney, the same company that gave us films like Cinderella, Aladdin, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, and Beauty and the Beast. However, there is no Disney logo at the beginning of the film, but at the same time, there might just as well be for what I think below. Rey is a badass and a role model to girls of all ages these days, now with that being said Rey, as the main character, is also the most beautiful girl in the entire film (aside from Carrie Fisher) a beautiful, young, headstrong, girl who feels out of place in the world, kicked when she is down, and felt she needed a purpose in life and doesn't know what it is while never giving up all the same. Rey is without a doubt a "Disney Princess" and every Disney Princess has a romantic interest for the Disney Prince who in this case is Kylo Ren. Not as an opinion, because Ren is the most gorgeous man in the film, who is a "beast" on the outside with that mask of his, but the moment he took off the mask has a face of a prince, a "Disney Prince". Rey finding the lightsaber just as well may be the "glass slipper" and the look of Kylo Ren's face when he saw the saber fly right into Rey's hand. "It is you..." he says. So many Disney parallels once you look at it. Certain Disney films, although star wars is not actually credited or even made by Disney per se and only distributed by Walt Disney Studios, has a romance and every second film from the previous SW trilogies had a romance, (Han x Leia), (Anakin x Padme). Could be possible that the next could feature (Ben x Rey) maybe a lot, maybe some, or maybe very little. So I agree with the fairytales thing because who does it better than Walt Disney?
Oh yes!!!!! I would miss an epic romance in Sequels! And his unmasking was a big surprise for me (oh, how is it possible that the Villain could have such a handsome, young and noble face!! It must be something deeper in this!!) It would be a big shame if they miss such a beauty here, imho.
This episode was so much fun to watch. Your discussion is very well paced and balanced out. The video clips, images and gifs were beautiful and hilarious at times. Looking forward for the next Reylo videos!!
Belle, in Beauty ad the beast, also talks about the plot of a book she is reading saying "far off places, daring sword fights, a prince in disguise!" which perfectly describes TFA
Great point. We also forgot to mention the 'Little Red Riding Hood' elements of the girl wandering around the woods and encountering The Big Bad Wolf, which some argue is a metaphor for sexual awakening. Very Reylo, lol.
Hey guys, I spent the last couple of days watching most of your videos and I am in absolute awe of your work. It's obvious that you are not only passionate about Reylo but also conscientious in explaining your theories and ideas. Thank you so much! I'm looking forward for any new videos. :)
Favorited: My own hope? It's for the happy ending. If this was to be the correction or reversal of Anidala, I could not foresee wanting any tragedy to enter it. I'd want Episodes VIII and IX to culminate in a parallel to Episode II. Luke Skywalker perhaps presiding over a wedding for Ben and Rey. This would show that the old Jedi rule of no attachment of any kind was no longer an adherence. They could go and teach, continue the line as mentioned. I keep hold too, of the thought that the reason why Kylo Ren gave Rey that look in the forest might be specifically because she took the lightsaber away from him. It might be that one of the visions that he's had repeatedly for a long time was a dream of himself just about to grab hold of the Skywalker family lightsaber, when it is taken away from him by someone the dream did not let him see. Then when Rey grabs the lightsaber in the forest, then comes the look, and in the novel,, the utterance: "It is you..." ((As an example "The one I've seen, for years in my dreams... It is you..." ))
If we assume that Kylo Ren will once again become Ben Skywalker-Solo, then I think it could be safe to say that he may live through the story. Having him live would be one thing they could do in order to make his redemption arc different from that of Anakin/Vader. They would all but have to make it different in order for it all to work.
I think that "Marry me" look is actually a look of dawning realization as to her identity. Having said that, I do hope Disney doesn't make her into a Skywalker/Solo 'coz that would sink the Reylo ship, and I want these two to end up together. No other pairing makes sense for her.
Hello, Nathalie, I think dawning realization is also a good explanation, but either way it's a positive realization. As to a possible Rey Solo/ Rey Skywalker, Daisy has debunked Rey Solo. JJ and Rian Johnson have debunked Rey Skywalker (and Rey Solo). JJ said that Rey's parents are not in Episode VII, and Rian Johnson said that Rey's parents are important only for her. SWC discusses some of this in Reylo 101: Controversy Versus Canon, in The Last Jedi: Kylo Ren, Rey's parentage... , and in Confirmed: Rey is not a Skywalker. So Rey and Kylo are not related and are going to be important for each other.
Ok I shipped them enough before you introduced the possibility of Kylo being labeled as a prince. Now that's just not fair. Now I ship them even more XD. I didn't think it possible without literally writing my own fanfic.
All the hints went over my head while I watched BOTH MOVIES. I just came upon the reylo theory these past few days and my mind is blownnnnn. This is awesomeeee because it’s a complete reverse of the beginning Star Wars story and there’s so many clever hints in the movies, Iike the music, and actions, and props. It’s greatttt
I kind of think you have a point about them "fighting" with the lightsabers, then you see him kiss her and we hear that Han and Leia romantic music or maybe they will have their own romantic music playing. Then he breaks off and both just stand there for a moment looking at each other like "OK, what just happened?" Kind of like Willow, eh? Had to throw that in there.
I was listening to one of your older podcast episode 4 where you were talking about a scene where Rey and kylo were fighting on a cliff and she falls after some Galaxy shattering revelation. and she falls off the cliff into the water and then kylo jumps off and off the cliff to save her. I was thinking that the kiss between Rey and kylo will happen at this point. possibly a CPR type kiss he pulls her out of the water onto a ledge possibly into a cave and he tries to resuscitate her. after a tense moment or two. Rey sits up after coughing out the water Norris's using Kyle's arms and shoves him away and just starts screaming at him and he's just sitting there taking it for a bit before he gives a snarky comeback about how he saved her life. then maybe after that they have the awkward visions of them kissing? I truly hope that this romance has a happy ending it needs a happy ending.
Great discussion as always. Would you please discuss a bit more further about force bonds or force connections, what are the chances we will see Rey and Kylo Ren share this type of connection in the next movie? Thanks for your amazing work
Adriana Blanco Here's a list of Reylo metas, including a whole sub-section of Force Bond posts. Just scroll down a bit: could-reylo-be-canon-today.tumblr.com/post/143655702421/reylo-meta-library-20
If they kill off Kylo after a romantic storyline, there will be thousands of fans becoming depressed and hospitals will be overrun. They can't kill him off in all seriousness. That's already been done.
Also, when Kylo says "What girl?" and it goes to Rey, she mentions a motivator. This could possibly symbolize that Rey is Kylo's motivator to return to the light side.
Great video. So many great theories. This made me realise that Kylo and Rey are kind of having a Reverse Anakin and Obi-Wan story. Like if the relationship of Anakin and Obi wan was played backwards it would their story.
WHAT IF!? There is enough time in E9, where Rey and Kylo get to know each other better. They fall for each other more and end up fighting together, again. Rey falls, near death and unconscious, and we see Kylo embracing her devastated. He goes into her mind and tells her the truth. He tells her who she really is (I personally believe REY is the prophecy. SHE is the 'balance' and the entire Skywalker line's purpose and fate is to see her rise in power). She doesn't wake but tells Kylo that she loves him. He freaks out and we finally see the most badass Kylo thus far! He somehow continues flighting, but right before we're shown his eyes. His eyes turn kind of 'sith' colored! He ultimately transforms (it finally clicks!) into an ultimate grey Jedi in that moment. He encompasses both the light and the dark and kicks ass saving the day. What he and Rey do next, no idea. But it's a cool theory! Of course, I know what you're thinking! Where is that bittersweet kiss?! I'm still deciding where to put that. Alright, I think I'm done daydreaming... ;)
HERE’S AN INTERSTING REYLO THEORY. So, I have an interesting theory that I think is quite plausible for not only Episode 9, but also the eventual next trilogy. So, basically I think Episode 9 is going to take place a few years after Last Jedi. The war is coming to a conclusion, and both Rey and Kylo are on opposing sides. However, they still have a Force connection even though Snoke is dead (as was indicated at the end of Last Jedi). In fact, their connection is stronger, and they’re both still trying to tempt the other to their side. At the end of it, Kylo eventually does turn back to the Light side, leading to the First Order’s defeat (likely being the one to kill Hux). However, he knows that he can’t just go back with everyone after all the things he’s done since, at best, he’ll end up sentenced to life imprisonment, and at worst put to death. Therefore, he leaves to some far off planet in the galaxy. Rey decides to go with him, not just because of her feelings for him, but also because she knows she’s needed to keep his dark nature in check, and also because she plans to build a new Jedi order different from the old one, and will need Kylo’s help for that. Maybe she’ll even help him escape custody and they fly off in the Millennium Falcon together. Something along these lines has to happen since Star Wars is about the Skywalker family (and Solo family now too since Han and Leia got married). So, yeah, that’s how I think Episode 9 could end, and now for the eventual follow up trilogy. Another powerful organization is taking over the galaxy the same way the Empire and First Order were, led by this trilogy’s Vader-like character. The hero of this trilogy joins the fight, and seems to be a very skilled Force user. Turns out this person is Rey and Kylo’s son or daughter. This hero, however, tries to keep their parentage a secret, as this trilogy’s resistance would likely be very distrustful towards the son/daughter of Kylo, even if Rey is their mother (some people might even consider Rey a traitor since she left with Kylo). Turns out that the Vader-like villain is actual their older sibling. While Rey and Kylo were trying to create a new Jedi order, their eldest child turned to the Dark Side. The reason the hero joined the fight was to try and turn their older sibling back to the light, while the Vader-like character will try and turn them to the dark. This will follow the theme of Luke/Vader and Rey/Kylo, only instead of being a father/son or love interest relationship, it will be a sibling one. This also sticks with the Star Wars themes of using stories from religion and mythology of two siblings, one good, one evil, similar to the story of Kane and Abel. The reveal of their relationship will be a twist; it can either be known that the Vader-like character was known to be Rey and Kylo’s child the whole time and the twist that is revealed later is that the hero is also their child, or it can be known that the hero is their child and the twist that is revealed later is that the Vader-like character is also the their child (either way works). This time, however, at the end of the trilogy, I do NOT think the evil sibling should be redeemed, and the hero will have to kill them. Oh, and there can be a relationship between the hero and Finn and Rose’s son/daughter, who was the leader of the Resistance. Speaking of which, I have an interesting idea for Finn, Rose, and Poe too for Episode 9. Since this will take place years after Last Jedi, Finn and Rose can be in a relationship, and to mix things up a bit, Rey and Poe can be in one too (as fans seem to think Disney was hinting at). However, it soon becomes apparent that Rey is pretty much forcing herself to be in a relationship with Poe to try and ignore her feelings for Kylo. She later breaks up with him when she realizes she can’t lie to herself about her feelings for Kylo. And if Disney really wants to spice things up, they can make it that Poe was secretly aware of Rey’s feelings for Kylo, and he becomes her support after they break up because he understands how she feels since he is in love with Finn (as fans also seem to think Disney was hinting at). Like Rey, he was using her to try and ignore his feelings for Finn since he knows his feelings won’t be returned since Finn is with Rose (especially since Rose’ sole purpose seems to be as a love interest for Finn), and thus he knows what it’s like to not be able to be with the person you love, and so after he and Rey break up, he encourages her to keep trying with Kylo. Anyway, that’s my theory. What do you think?
LOL You got to love how people who hate Rey x Ben Solo mention the fact that he got into Rey's mind and use it to determine their relationship as impossible, as a bad thing for people to watch. But I don't remember one single person complaining about how Darth Vader treated his son (even chopped his hand off lol), saying it's a bad influence for children. Also, to think Rey was weak and defenseless after she totally OWNED Kylo Ren in the interrogation scene...? They were both getting into each other's minds, and she had control of the situation. And it's not as if he COULD treat her better in that context. This is called Star WARS for a reason, they are characters from a fantasy world/fictional galaxy who are at opposite sides of a violent war that's going on. Look at the shit he could've done to her, take, let's say Poe, as an example. If anything, there existing love between them would send a good message of forgiveness and redemption, as those characters are symbolizing something bigger behind their figures. Star Wars is a film that HAS war, not one that is about/teaches us a lesson about war. It was always about love, but some still find it weird because what we had until now wasn't an example of romantic love. It was a story of a father and his son, but still ends up with the same effect. Compassion. The plot is even interesting if you consider that Rey will learn to care about someone who doesn't share the same blood, but still understands her more than anyone. If there was not anything to accomplish after the whole story ends, I don't get exactly what was the point. Okay, we have a lot of possibilities/plot twists happening on each trilogy, but why would a choice be made if the film feels "empty"? If the ending went like this, okay, but there's always a purpose, a journey related to human bonds and how they affect the world. We have remarkable fight scenes and I love them too, but this isn't a competition or something like "which character is the most badass". SW always tries to give us life lessons and add depth to the plot. That's why I buy the balance/compassion/love story.
Great video. I love the fairy tale elements in this story so much. I think we will get a kiss in this new movie and I trust Rian that it will be believable. If you look at my blog on tumblr I wrote a theory about the direction this story may be taking. Anyone who wants to read it feel free. My name on there is missconduct and the title of the essay is "He Knew it all Along" but be warned there are some references to spoilers we've heard about. I think Kylo is going to possibly end up an anti-hero type similar to Magneto from the X-Men. I'm keeping fingers crossed for him to survive this trilogy and become a rogue warrior putting himself in exile traveling around helping people to atone for past sins. Rey either going with him or saying, "I can't leave the resistance" and being on a side that constantly hunts for Ben to capture him and make him pay for his sins of the past and him always keeping one step ahead of them because she secretly helps him from her side get away, and stay one step ahead. She will always have love for him but because of her position in the resistance and his past feels she can't ever be with him. So still sort of star crossed on opposing sides. Anyway that's my theory and hope for the end of this trilogy and possibly spinning off into an animated series that way or a book series. What do you think?
Star Wars is always about the Skywalker fam. Kylo can't die cause he has to continue the bloodline with Rey. Hehehe!!!! I'm trash. 🗑🗑🗑 I just don't want him to die, okaaaaaay.
Thanks so much for another great Reylo 101 explanation video! The clues are there, as their characters develop I really believe it will happen at some point. So ready for Ben Solo to come back and get that Rey of sunshine into his life. PS: I do hope there is a Reylo kiss in Episode VIII. If anybody can do it well that is Rian Johnson. I trust him. I don´t care if its in a force vision or maybe an accidental one or a spur of the moment kind of thing, but it has to be there!
First Kiss: Rey was trapped by the stormtroopers suddenly she saw Kylo Ren standing in front of her. Kylo Ren said "Leave her to myself" The stormtroopers backed away and leave the room as Ren opened his lightsaber. They started to fight a duel Ren overwhelmes Rey and she looses her lightsaber. Then she jumpes on her feet force grabs the saber and opens it. Then she looked in Ren's eyes they warent angry they were calm then they kiss and hug then Ren told her to follow him they snuck around the ship until they managed to escape.
My prediction/wish is Kylo Ren being obsessed with Rey. Not so much a mutual love - he's too unredeemable for that - but a one way feeling of desire. She's strong with the Force and he wants her to join him. I can already see him stroking the scar she's left on his face. That will lead to confusion and he'll ultimately die defending her. Then she'll know that he isn't all monster.
I’m just curious. Does anyone else remember what Anakin said about compassion? Anakin (Attack of the Clones): “Attachment is forbidden. Possession is forbidden. Compassion, which I would define as unconditional love, is essential to a Jedi’s life. So you might say, that we are encouraged to love.” So when Snoke says Kylo REN has compassion for Rey, is that somewhat foreshadowing?
Lol many people have noticed that just like we did, so no worries about plagiarizing. “Compassion” and “there is still light/good in him” are buzzwords in Star Wars, and the fact that they pertain to Rey and Kylo Ren’s relationship and his redemption arc means a lot. The more it is mentioned the better. XD
I'm fully on board for Reylo! All in but I don't think it'll really flourish until 9. If the Finn/Rose thing happens it might overwhelm episode 8 if there's more than one romance happening. So far there's been one romance per trilogy. I want it to happen full throttle in 9 and I want a happy ending too! I'd be really disappointed if they decide not to ship Reylo in this trilogy.
I am telling you if they would do this it would redeem the trilogy for me. There are great characters and both films have had good parts but the writers behind dialogue and subplots drive me a little crazy.. This would be the greatest of all time.
I just have a feeling that they won’t be romantically involved. They will end up being cousins or brother and sister though a romance isn’t out of the picture I just don’t think it’s needed. Kylo might be redeemed but he will end up dead or seriously disfigured
prob will be a romeo and juliet type ending where kylo will get killed off as rey will fight ren on the surface of a planet, hux would turn on kylo ala 'blow up the entire continent (with reylo on it, bwahahahahahah type turn....)' So while Ren wins the duel, he saves rey so she can get away when the mountain comes down. But then again this is disney so the 'princess' plot line will come in so happily ever after is more plausible now. However there seems to be a talk of not needing the force light or dark so perhaps both fights to a draw and leave the whole shit behind, disconnect from the force. For a tragic ending, im hoping for snoke's wraith come back, possess rey and makes her OP. And to the movie needs to get to a cross road decision where Rey possessed can kill ren and take all the power however she will do a Han Solo type sacrifice where Ren and Rey go for a final clash she deliberately lets Kylo kill her hence denying Snoke's revenge. Daisy ridley did say she will not be doing rey beyond ep 9 so does that mean Rey will no longer exist after ep 9 meaning dead?
Can we just mention that the way he talks to Rey is really a result of how everyone interacts around him, I mean Snoke is always being manipulative and also cruel to him. So when he is trying to persuade her to join him, any of the times, he does so to the best of his abilities and people skills. Just sayinnnnn
It was just a Lightsaber duel. There was no sexual tension. I kinda wanted them to be a thing but the sexual tension thing made it weird. It's almost as bad as furrys
Ok imma be real I could MAYBE, MAYBE, see them idk fighting side by side like if kylo turns to the light and or Rey turns to the dark. Or some shit right?. But them having a romantic relationship is not right ESPECIALLY after the catastrophe of “Attack of the Clones” it just doesn’t seem right all the past relationships in Star Wars have been the people on the same side. These are two enemies and they’re fuckin “romantic” the bitch literally tortured her with the FORCE and y’all over here going “he carried her away like a bride” bitch THE FUCK??? SMH BRUH
I understand everyones got to have their theories, Im not even gonna say that Reylo doesnt belong in Starwars, Im simply going to say that Reylo is NOT going to happen in Starwars. You're all looking too much into it, and basically you're all just seeing what you all want to see in TFA and now in Starwars. Starwars is NOT Twilight, its NOT 50 Shades of Grey, what they have done is set up a enpowered female character. She fights back at Kylo, and maybe theres a connection between them, especially through the force. But its not some romance thing, and thats not even play a small part in these last two episodes. Because Starwars is just bigger than that. Look you're women, its that simple you're women and so you your "world view" will be to see things in many movies and films, that context. Now that Kathleen Kennedy has made Starwars more accessible to women and female fans in general, you have all came into this thing, Starwars you're fans, but I think you're mostly "subconciously" fans on YOUR terms. As in you've only become fans or even bigger fans of Starwars now, because of TFA coming along and giving you a enpowered female main character, protagonist, and its led you all to then sift through this, trying to find a idea that will best suit you all. As in a enpowered female heronie, who brings the "Big Bad Villain" back to the light through Love, they fall in love and basically live happily ever after. Thats what you women and espeically impressionable teenage girls want, thats your fantasy lol. And you cant help thinking like that because thats the way you're wired psychologically. Theres nothing wrong with this you are aloud to explore your fantasy but if any of you female fans truly understood Starwars and what is at the heart of it, the mythology and what its about, you would simply know that Starwars is not about that.
I refuse to acknowledge Disney Star Wars right to exist and if that sounds harsh I only have to say how casual female viewers (such as the ones who have started this channel last year) have helped KK's Feminazi Philosphy warp and distort Star Wars in to this Teenage Romantic Gossipy Fan Fiction bullshit. I've been a fan of Star Wars for over 25 years and have seen many things come and go over the years but I've never seen a group of the fans have a real mentally disturbing fanficition they wanted to see made "Canon" in the films. This is so baffling on how you willingly "look the other way" for the brutal atrocities commited by BEN SOLO who becomes Kylo Ren (sorry but your whole argument is riding on Anakin/Padme romance and that doesn't work because Padme falls in love with Anakin, Not Darth Vader). You hoping Rey falls in love with Kylo and helps to bring him back to the light is about as plausible to the audience for them to fall in love as it would be for you to believe me if I said it was possible for Clarice Starling to fall in love with Hannibal Lector during Sillence of the Lambs. That's how you sound to me. Remember, Padme fell in love with Anakin not Darth Vader. And she never saw his brutallity for killing sandpeople or Jedi younglings in person, but Rey did experience all of that with Kylo. Need I remind you The Darth Vader fanboy KILLED HAN SOLO!!! Ordered the mass slaughter of the villiagers at the begining of the film. Willingly killed the members of Luke's Jedi Academy, and is responsible for the 3 main heros of the original trilogy to be emotionally, spiritually, and psychologically fragemented by this at the start of TFA, and you expect me to take you seriously as Star Wars fans? If I happened to be a woman, I'd be pissed at you all for contributing to the bullshit notion that there aren't any real lifelong female fans of the series which is something I thought was true until very recently. I know there are plenty of bandwagon female "shippers" who have hitched on to Star Wars in the last couple years. But it's odd because you are all fully grown adult women (based on my guess), but have just since shown up within the fandom in the last 2 years. Where were you during the 1999-2005 prequel era? Because maybe you didn't see the prequels or even the originals untill 2015 and have only rewatched them to find evidence to prove the validity of your argument and cherry pick examples to use to manipulate the previous character relationship moments to suit your agenda? There is no moral ambiguity in Star Wars. It's a good vs evil fantasy where the good guys are the good guys and the bad guys are the bad guys.. There's no grey murkey moral ambiguity and theres no grey jedi bs. Star Wars is not "Game of thrones" and it's not "Twilight", so be patient with me as I realize this fantheory you want integreated into the next films as "canon", implys a high level of willingness to looik the other way no matter the evil of the crimpes commited.
Raiken Xion You claim that you know what Star Wars is all about - which begs the question, “What is it about?” I can tell you. Star Wars is about how the actions of one individual can affect the lives of everyone, how even the purest of souls can be corrupted, and how even the vilest sinners can be redeemed by love. C.S. Lewis said that there are four different kinds of Love: - Storge: familial bond. In the OT, Vader/Anakin's Storge for his son, Luke, brings him back to the Light. Luke and Leia’s bond gracefully evolves into Storge. - Philia: friendship. Obi-Wan and Anakin had Philia before Anakin turned. Luke, Han, and Leia quickly develop strong Philia in Episode IV. - Agape/Charity: unconditional love for God and all humans/living creatures. All savior characters have this trait, or else they would never be able to win against evil. (The theology of SW is a bit ambiguous, but that’s a whole ‘nother discussion). - Eros: romantic, sexual love. Lewis considered this one the most likely to lead someone into darkness. In Episode III, Anakin’s marrying Padme in defiance of Jedi law becomes a slippery slope into the Dark Side. But Han’s Eros toward Leia in Episode V prompts him to act unselfishly, even unto being frozen in carbonite, so it has also been shown as a force for good in this universe. So we’ve established that romance exists in SW and can be either redemptive or destructive. So what makes some of us sure that not only will Kylo and Rey fall in love, but her love will be his salvation? Because this is an ancient tradition, literally a tale as old as time. Male savior characters follow can follow one of three arcs: Jesus (completely celibate-Frodo Baggins), Siddhartha (starts out with a wife or girlfriend whom he has to leave for the cause), or Aeneas (does get a girl in the end, but likely not the one he wanted, and meanwhile he’s made countless other sacrifices). In SW, Anakin was supposed to be the savior, but failed due to his inability to break it off with Padme. Female saviors, on the other hand, really only have one path, that of Persephone. In classical mythology Persephone was the daughter of Demeter, goddess of the harvest. One day Persephone was strolling through the meadows when the ground opened where she stood. From the crack in the Earth sprang a tall man in a black cloak and helmet, driving a chariot drawn by black horses. He grabbed the struggling Persephone in his arms and bore her away underground. He was Hades, King of the Dead, and he made Persephone his Queen. Does anything I just described remind you a wee bit of Kylo and Rey? Because it should. Demeter grieved when her daughter disappeared without a trace, and she neglected the crops, accidentally starving the people. They prayed to Zeus, who had always knew where Persephone was, and he sent for her. Hades made sure she ate some seeds from a pomegranate in his garden before going back aboveground. Demeter wanted to keep Persephone at her side like a child forever, but when the gods learned that Persephone had eaten the fruit of Hades, Zeus declared that she had to spend a third/fourth of the year underground. This is how the Greeks explained the seasons changing: spring and summer occur when Persephone dwells aboveground, autumn and winter happen when she returns to her husband. Despite their rocky start, Hades and Persephone went on to be the only gods in the Greek pantheon with a functional marriage. This story has inspired countless works of literature, including Beauty & the Beast, Pride & Prejudice, Jane Eyre, The Phantom of the Opera, The Sound of Music, Labyrinth, and now a major plot of the Star Wars sequel trilogy. In each of these works, the heroine is stuck with a man she believes is a monster, but by showing him compassion saves his soul and often the lives of those around them. Star Wars doesn’t exist in a vacuum. It is consciously part of a rich literary tradition stretching back to the beginning of history. George Lucas was inspired by Joseph Campbell’s book The Hero With a Thousand Faces, which addressed a lot of the material I here describe. So if the stories of Anakin and Luke draw on the male saviors who came before them, it makes sense that Rey’s journey imitates that of Persephone. And Persephone was arguably the most formidable goddess in the Greek pantheon. Her justice was terrible, but her mercy was even stronger. Only her compassion could convince Hades to let a dead person return to the world of the living. The symbolism of Kylo and Rey’s relationship in TFA comes from Hades and Persephone, and it's not subtle. On Takodana, he emerges from a crack in the Earth to pursue her, swathed in black and wearing a helmet that conceals his face. He carries her off bridal-style across the battlefield, despite that being enormously inconvenient and potentially dangerous for him. He brings her into a dark, cold, Underworld-y place (it is called StarKILLER), and no one has been able to come up with any logical explanation for his behavior in the interrogation room-from his uncharacteristic gentleness to his rather pointed body language-other than that he’s infatuated with her. We “silly, emotional women” are imagining nothing. These symbols have consistently meant the same thing for almost three thousand years. And they are important to the plot. Rey has a far more dynamic relationship with Kylo than any other character, and that connection is indisputably romantic/sexual. It’s going to be a major plot mover going forward, as confirmed by none less than J.J. Abrams himself. Rey won't lose her power by falling for Kylo…or rather, for Ben. Falling for the “monster” is actually HOW the female savior comes into her full power and glory. Persephone wedded Hades and became the morally strongest and most human of the Greek gods. And Rey, unless the writers really mess up, will save the galaxy and the soul of Kylo Ren in one fell, graceful, painful stroke. Take away her “giving in”, her showing mercy to the undeserving man whose only good quality is his love for her-and she remains a callow little girl, Persephone stuck with fussy Demeter forever, picking flowers when she could be restoring the dead to life. And a guy who said “Thats what you women and espeically impressionable teenage girls want, thats your fantasy lol. And you cant help thinking like that because thats the way you're wired psychologically” should really keep silent on the subject of “empowered heroines” because you clearly have no idea what that means. A strong woman knows when to fight and when to let it go, when to strike and when to hold back. She is authoritative but nurturing. As Maya Angelou said “It’s the fire in my eyes/And the flash of my teeth…The sun of my smile…The need for my care…A phenomenal woman. That’s me.” Or as Robert Browning put it, “The good stars met in your horoscope,/Made you of spirit, fire and dew” (from “Evelyn Hope”). A woman who’s always nice is weak, but a woman who never forgives and closes her heart is even weaker. Persephone, walking contradiction, goddess of flowers and death, was fiction’s first Phenomenal Woman, and Rey appears to be following in her footsteps. And the good folks at Lucasfilm and Disney appear to be on our side. They’ve had no problem shooting down other “crazy fan theories”, but have been nothing but coy regarding Kylo and Rey. Because not only does this story belong in the Star Wars universe, but maybe it’s the story SW was always meant to tell. Persephone loves Hades and brings spring back to the world. This isn’t only really empowering if you’re a woman-it’s also a heckuva Christian allegory, if you want to see it, with a girl standing in for Jesus and a man representing fallen humanity. No, Star Wars is not, as you said, “bigger than that” because NOTHING is bigger than that. So tell me more about how we women and girls are irrational and silly. How we don’t understand mythology or heroism or “what’s really important.” How we don’t deserve to be in the Star Wars fandom because we notice things that you men usually don’t. How we’ll only be happy and strong when we become cold and hard, and drive away the broken young men in our lives, the Kylo Rens of this world, instead of reaching out to them with mercy. Tell me more about how the answer to darkness is more darkness, and the answer to violence is more violence. Oh wait. “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hatred cannot drive out hatred; only love can do that.” The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said that. He was a man, in case you didn’t know. And this, from St. John the Beloved, another man: “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it” (John 1:5, English Standard Version). Peace out.
I've been a hard core Star Wars fan since I was a little girl and I've never seen/read 50 or twilight or any of those "basic girl love stories". I don't care if something has love or not I'll watch the good stuff. I don't really follow your logic. What's wrong with there being a romance in this trilogy?
LaBanana 03 because like he said it doesn’t fit Star Wars. I’m sorry but no one else except you guys want to see a “Love redemption” in Star Wars. You want to know what everyone likes in Star Wars? A dark villain who doesn’t care about anything and would do anything for supreme leader SNOKE. Rey comes along and she’s basically another luke there to defeat him and maybe Ben will come back who fuckin knows but there’s no fucking romance
Just personal preference. I didn't see the romantic connection when I saw this movie and went into viewing it with more of a "familial connection" bond...so, my view of these two characters is skewed in a different direction. I saw them as two characters that might be related in some way...so, to then have it flip on me like that and have them wind up romantically linked is just odd. But, I believe it is the most likely theory since watching a lot of speculation videos on here. I'll come around to it in the end though. Haha :)
Ah, gotcha. I'm sure a lot of SW fans are feeling the same way as you. Hopefully if it does turn out to be romance between Rey and Kylo it will be done well so people on the fence can come around to it. ^^
+Lee Green lol this isnt even about people on the fence, this is Starwars here we're talking about! Rey has all these mysteries, her parentage, her destiny, her connection to Luke in anykind of way (if he may be her father). You're all only looking at it like its only Kylo and Rey who exist in this galaxy. This whole romance you're infactuated with lol. Its blinded you to seeing all the other things, the force, the mythology, Snoke, the darkside. The other characters. They all just take a side note because its all about Reylo. In Kathleen we trust!! and feminism huh. I know whats going on here lol, you think that Kathleen is going to bring a big dose of feminism to Starwars now, because you have remembered when she said in interview that she will not pander to the male fans inclusivity. So now you're trying to build this movement on here, which is "Reylo" hoping that with enough people onboard, and the videos grow, this thing will reach Kathleen and now JJ. Abrams and they will bring this Reylo thing into it. Eventually ending ep9 with that, Reylo lol. Not going to happen, just htink of this, if Reylo ever happened, ALL you women would luv it, but just think what that would do to the majority of the fanbase, that being men and many women out there. They would hate it, brand the sequel trilogy a huge dissappointment on same level as the prequels and it would damage the franchise. All so you girls can get your Twilight romance fix in Starwars. Starwars is welcome to all, men, women, young people, old people etc. But you have to appreicate it for what it is, and not try to see it as one particular thing that you like. Anyway you'll see foryourself come 2019, when episode 9 comes out and closes the sequel trilogy. I hope when you're sitting there in the cinema with your boyfriend or something, and you're both watching the ending sequence. You sit back and think "damn he was right" lol.
I think that Rey, like Ren, is also the child of Han and Leia. I think that fifteen years ago, Han hid little Rey underneath the floorboards of the Millennium Falcon while saying, "I'll come back for you sweetheart." The Irving Boys then stole the ship. Ducain then stole it from them, who then sold the girl, and the ship, to Unkar Plutt on Jakku. Ducain told Rey that he'd take her back to her family. That's why, during the flashback, little Rey calls out after Ducain, as he's flying off, "No! Come back!" Han effectively lost little Rey, out in space, along with the Millennium Falcon. That's why Rey's in the exact same place as the ship. It's not a coincidence! Han spends the next fifteen years, "double checking the Western Reaches" looking for Rey. Han screws over his fellow smugglers outta their money because he's using that money to try and find Rey. Ren kills Han for committing the crime of losing the girl. A teenage Ben Solo felt Rey's pain on Jakku, causing him to turn to the dark side. According to Star Wars lore a Jedi can sense when a loved one is in pain. (The book "Bloodline" said that Ben didn't go bad until after the age of 23. I think that this was put in just to keep fans from figuring out the truth.) When Ren tells Han that, "His old self was weak and foolish like his father." He says this because Ren also blamed himself for failing to protect little Rey. (Ben's little sis.) When Ren reads Rey's mind, he becomes angry when saying, "You think that Han's like the father you never had. He would of disappointed you." Ren means that Han "disappointed" him "as a father" in some way. All the flashbacks and exposition, explaining all of this, will be delivered to the audience by Han Solo, via a bunch of missed, and omitted, conversations that took place during TFA. Like when Maaz tells Han, "Tell me about the girl." The camera then pans off them. Then later on Leia says, "Han told me about the girl." But we didn't HEAR Han tell Leia about the girl did we? And, I think, that Han does recognize Rey. When Rey "bypasses the compressor" Han has a non-plus reaction and runs to talk to Chewy. Rey makes a face like, "Why did he react that way?" You see how eager Han is to talk to Chewy when he says to BB8, "Ball move!" Han just realized that his long lost little girl was right in front of him. He was shitting his pants! I believe that you'll hear all those, unheard, conversations in episode nine. (More Harrison Ford in Star Wars. Yay!) The original trilogy teased scenarios like Luke killing his own father, to protect his sister, causing him to turn to the dark side, and Leia becoming a Jedi herself. These same scenarios are being played out, and coming to fruition, with Ren and Rey, the next generation. Now it is heavily implied that Rey is Luke's daughter. I do think that Luke has a deceased wife and a long lost child, I just don't think that this child is Rey. I believe that it's actually General Hux. My theory being that; Hux is Luke's force-less born son in disguise. Luke Junior grew up dying of force envy. After interrogating Poe, Ren tells Hux, "I leave that [the non-force magic] to you." Luke Junior is visible seen sneering with jealousy at Han Junior. When Snoke and Ren talk of the "awakening" in the force, Hux is seen walking just off frame. (This is suspiciously done, just to show the audience, that Hux DOESN'T have the force.) Snoke had a member of his shadow council "pass off" Luke Junior as Hux Junior to hide his true identity. Hence why Hux Senior just "discovers" his illegitimate son one day. That's also why "Ginger Hitler" is far too young to be a top military commander. AND that is also WHY is this bad guy a boyishly-handsome, cleft-chinned redhead. Is all this suspicious? Of course! That's because he's the biological product of Mara Jade and Luke Skywalker. Little Rey starting at Luke's Academy must of started this whole mess, and pushed L.J.'s jealousy over the edge. And we all know how the dark side loves Skywalker anger and hated. That's my theory anyway. Thanks for reading!
And J.J. Abrams said, "Cummberbatch wasn't Khan." Who's Rey parents are is question nummero uno on fan's minds. Why try so hard to throw that very viable possibility off the table? There's only one reason. That's the answer!
Ana thank you these people don't know when to quit people get over it she is not lukes daughter i thaught she was looks daughter but then i looked close and i noticed no no way she can be lukes daughter
Meh, I doubt this pairing will get together in episode nine. it doesn't make any sense anyway. Kylo killed his father. He's a ruthless son of a bitch. If he's really falling for Rey its probably because he's hoping to manipulate her to join the dark side. All this romantic bullshit isn't going to happen. Star Wars should be about action not about the villains romancing the heroes.
NewWaveRocker J I don't think its about action but about humanity emotion, bond, family and yes, love. Lol go back and watch the movies sweetie, if all you are seeing is action then you're missing the point that George Lucas was trying to make. The Jedi cannot love yet Anakin defies the code to love padme in secret. This love leads him to make the wrong choices to protect her but ends up turning to the dark side. Obi won loves Anakin as a brother and fails him. Darth Vader' s love for his son redeems him and sends him to the light. Han (solo) found a group he sacrificed himself for despite being a very selfish person. He ended up loving Leia and she took a big risk to save him from jabba... Han forgave and rescued his long time friend Lando. These are just some of the basic themes and character arcs in star wars lol.... So yeah romance does and can fit in. It's not just boom boom space lasers! That's not what its about. Its about the very human heart in all the characters during a period of chaos and turmoil in a galaxy.
Idk, but you got SW wrong. Anakin killed kids and killed his father-figure Obi Wan, tortured his daughter and many horrible things, and guess what? He came back to the light in the end. Redemption is part of Star Wars, and love it's a way to show it.
Jesus. You guys really have a talent for seeing what isn't there and connecting imaginary dots into massive topics SO far off from the actual storyline its almost sounds inertly insane.
You're like the lone voice of reason here it seems. The fact that so many people either cannot or will not see how fucked up this pairing is truly sad to me....it's just...
Lucifer Ash still you have a lot of time in your hands to come here and complain. Nobody force you to watch these stuff. If you know what sw is, you should already think that the heroine cannot hate him forever, so go waste your time somewhere else. Goodbye
Oh my for heavens sake NO reylo !!!!!! There is no redemption for kylo i guess people forget he killed one of the best Star Wars characters ever and countless others , can't just say hey I'm light side now all is good, reylo would kill Star Wars please stop with it , this saga needs a pure hero like rey there is no place for this EVER
"You are so right," there's no room for redemption and forgiveness in Star Wars. That would NEVER, EVER happen in the galaxy far far away. And heroes should be perfect and not conflicted while doing their hero activities, and they certainly shouldn't waste their time with dumb things like compassion and empathy. Like ew that stuff is so, so not Star Wars. ;)
@Luna, I was using sarcasm in my reply to Mike Disanto's comment to expose the flaws in his logic. I do like Reylo, I promise - in fact I spent a great deal of time talking about how much I like it in the video you're commenting on. ^^ Thanks for supporting the ship.
Lee Green if you guys want off the wall relationships that won't work stick to the twilight series , and if these two end up related? Hmmm how will that work maybe in your part of the country that is customary, point is kylo is past redemption and its up to rey to bring the balance back into the real Star Wars story not some far fetched love story
Mike Disanto: Dude, Rey and Kylo are not related. That was debunked ages ago, please keep up. As for the rest, I don't care for Twlight and I'm sorry to break it to you but all signs point to Kylo Ren being redeemed. Why don't we resume this conversation after TLJ comes out - it feels like we'll keep going around in circles otherwise. Good day, sir.
Kylo is my favourite Disney prince.
You mean your favourite disney princess XD
I swear if reylo ends being real i will cry for happiness in the movie theater...
Fingers crossed! I still believe it will happen but not until episode IX. But I´ll take it!
MAYA I'm gonna say to everyone "I told you so!"
I'm whith that
Me as well!!!!! We must wait - just a few days!!! I hope they won't waste such a wonderful potential that came in TFA!!!
Andromeda Xerro REYLO - YES 💕
*These two are all speculation*
Anakin's mom dies in his second movie, which motivates him to turn to the dark side - It seems very likely that Leia will die in Return of the Jedi, most likely because of the First Order, which could motivate Kylo to return to the light.
In Attack of the Clones, Padme and Anakin team up - It seems like in The Last Jedi, Rey and Kylo will do the same thing.
That's just what I've been able to figure out. If anyone else has more parallel's I'd love to hear them.
Yep I totally agree. This totally makes sense. I love it. You explain it so much. I LOVE IT,. THANKS!!!!
Which is just too terrible for words
psy-kylo-gy I hope reylo happens
Kawthar Bakhach sadly daisy riddly comfirmed she will have a romance in the force awakens and future movies. And John (Finn) confirmed he doesn't have a romance in the movies since he is a stormtrooper all these are new to him.
Heямισиє Grαиgєя-Weαѕlєу™ so we all know this romance is with Kylo ren when she was in the interrogation room she kept staring at Kylo ren
What´s terrible about Finn/Poe?
When it cuts to Rey after Kylo says "What girl?!", she says "It's the motivator!!"
Maybe it's hinting she will be what motivates him to come back to the light? Always love your videos!
sparkleclover And also, when he said 'girl' right after that moment, there is light behind Kylo.
Neha so we have good with good (aname)
Again good with good (Haeia)
And good with bad (Reyo) OwO something different
Anakin was betrayed by his romantic love (when he thought Padme was with Obi-Wan) and saved by familiar love.
/Tlj spoilers/
Kylo was betrayed by familiar love (Luke trying to kill him) and will be saved by romantic love.
It's so amazing to rewatch this video after TLJ and realize how right you are about a lot of stuff = )
Great video as always. "The Marry me Face". Now I know how to describe this expression ^^
Ok I'm not kidding. This is to real but at 17:30 that is my edit. I'm been fulfilled with happiness ^^
That's awesome! We saw it reblogged on Tumblr and had not been able to get the origin. Do you have a Tumblr? We can put in a link in the credits if you like, or just your username here.
angrydragonpuppy.tumblr.com this is my blog ^^
Perfect; added!
:-) I can't resist :-)))) Kylo looks so similar to my husband!!!! I can't také another scenario than the romantic one!!
Reylo could set up a new Skywalker dynasty and many new stories and characters.
Thanks so much! Don't let the negativity bring you down.
Definitely.
"This is the part where she meets Prince Charming, but she won't know it's him till Chapter Three." Ahem. 😁
Hey guys, I spent the last couple of days watching most of your videos and I am in absolute awe of your work. It's obvious that you are not only passionate about Reylo but also conscientious in explaining your theories and ideas. Thank you so much! I'm looking forward for any new videos. :)
@Kat Ja, thanks so much for the lovely feedback!
Coming back to this after TLJ, it's incredible how spot on you ladies have been.
Another Reylo installment. This is awesome! Thx ladies. Sharing on my tumblr page now :D
Thank you. ^^
@Star Wars Connection. Your welcome :D

My own hope?
Then when Rey grabs the lightsaber in the forest, then comes the look, and in the novel,, the utterance:
"It is you..."
((As an example "The one I've seen, for years in my dreams... It is you..." ))
Nicely expressed!
Thank you very much. :)
You're so very welcome. 😊
If we assume that Kylo Ren will once again become Ben Skywalker-Solo, then I think it could be safe to say that he may live through the story. Having him live would be one thing they could do in order to make his redemption arc different from that of Anakin/Vader. They would all but have to make it different in order for it all to work.
I'm With you.. I really want a happy ending for these two ..
I just saw this podcast and it's sooo late in my country 1:30 AM but tomorrow I swear I'm gonna listen to this gem
Yes! Thank you so much for this! You ladies are amazing!
Kylo isn't exactly a prince but he is in a family that makes him destined for a certain path, and Rey would be the scoundrel. So it works.
He is the son of a princess and the grandson of a queen. I say that qualifies prince status for Kylo/Ben.
And he looks like a prince :-)
Ok I shipped them enough before you introduced the possibility of Kylo being labeled as a prince. Now that's just not fair. Now I ship them even more XD. I didn't think it possible without literally writing my own fanfic.
Kylos hot
Swag Turtle we know
All the hints went over my head while I watched BOTH MOVIES. I just came upon the reylo theory these past few days and my mind is blownnnnn. This is awesomeeee because it’s a complete reverse of the beginning Star Wars story and there’s so many clever hints in the movies, Iike the music, and actions, and props. It’s greatttt
Welcome aboard, thanks for your comment!
Guys keep it up... you´re awesome on these theories about Kaylo and Ray.
A 'rey' of light....
If you will....
Revan and Bastila had a force bond too... They also fell in love...
M. Glow I can see this happening 😀
Thank you so much for doing this, you're great!
Great discussion as always. Would you please discuss a bit more further about force bonds or force connections, what are the chances we will see Rey and Kylo Ren share this type of connection in the next movie?
Thanks for your amazing work
Great idea!
Adriana Blanco Here's a list of Reylo metas, including a whole sub-section of Force Bond posts. Just scroll down a bit:

The chances were 100% 👌
If they kill off Kylo after a romantic storyline, there will be thousands of fans becoming depressed and hospitals will be overrun. They can't kill him off in all seriousness. That's already been done.
GW7 Yes. Leia will be killed sadly. How this will affect the story is unsure as of yet, but Ben Solo is in for a hard time.
Also, when Kylo says "What girl?" and it goes to Rey, she mentions a motivator. This could possibly symbolize that Rey is Kylo's motivator to return to the light side.
Girls, I loved your analysis! Great video. Looking forward to the next one! :)
Great video. So many great theories. This made me realise that Kylo and Rey are kind of having a Reverse Anakin and Obi-Wan story. Like if the relationship of Anakin and Obi wan was played backwards it would their story.
Exactly! You are getting it.
did you notice that rey was staring at kylo and when he was walking toward her she looked away then she looks at him again and looks away
Alright, I think I'm done daydreaming... ;)
Oh please upload these two latest Reylo 101 eps. to mixcloud soon!! I desperately need them. :) xxxooo
Hope, thanks for your comment. No worries, Reylo101 is coming to Mixcloud soon. :)

Thank you! ^^
Post The Last Jedi Spoilers
They didn't kiss, but Rey saw Kylo shirtless.
Apologies, I didn't put the spoiler down enough.
This is amazing, love it!
I recently came across a theory that suggested Rey and Ben/Kylo were actually the reincarnations of Anakin and Padme.
And unfortunately there wasnt a kiss in episode 8 😭
Star Wars is always about the Skywalker fam. Kylo can't die cause he has to continue the bloodline with Rey. Hehehe!!!! I'm trash. 🗑🗑🗑 I just don't want him to die, okaaaaaay.
The compressor theory/shadow, *mind blown*. Ya'll are awesome!
"Marry Me Face" - never will get that out of my head now! :)
You guys were sooo right 😂👌
Thanks so much for another great Reylo 101 explanation video!
I don´t care if its in a force vision or maybe an accidental one or a spur of the moment kind of thing, but it has to be there!
i ship reylo so hard
Should be doing IT 101 but here I am looking at....REYLO 101
Ren means Benevolence and Love...why give him a name of Ren if he would not be redeemed
ravencassidy He will
Coincidence? I think not.. Benevolence... His name is Ben?? ;))
This could either be an epic win or an epic fail
10:27 - exactly, and what is another meaning of a "compressor"?
There is this theory that says that maybe the shadow when Rey is in front of her walker is Darth Vader. I think that it might actually be Kylo Ren
Yeppp! Thank you very much!
No bittersweet. There's been enough tragedy.
You were right about Reylo... Tell your sister... you were right...
Why is the ship name for Anikin and Padme not Anime?
First Kiss:
Rey was trapped by the stormtroopers suddenly she saw Kylo Ren standing in front of her.
Kylo Ren said "Leave her to myself"
The stormtroopers backed away and leave the room as Ren opened his lightsaber.
An Di no not die almost like Finn but he would survive
I’m just curious. Does anyone else remember what Anakin said about compassion?
Anakin (Attack of the Clones): “Attachment is forbidden. Possession is forbidden. Compassion, which I would define as unconditional love, is essential to a Jedi’s life. So you might say, that we are encouraged to love.”
So when Snoke says Kylo REN has compassion for Rey, is that somewhat foreshadowing?
8:53
Star Wars Connection 🤦🏼♀️ This is what happens when I watch movies late at night. I think I’m brilliant only to find I’m basically plagiarizing! 🙄
XD
No selfrespecting audience will accept Finn/Jane as THE kiss of episode two... I wont. they are cute but... Reylo, what a spark they have!!
Didn't Rian Johnson say Episode VIII wouldn't have a Han X Leia style romance?
Spark of lightsaber XD
I'm fully on board for Reylo! All in but I don't think it'll really flourish until 9. If the Finn/Rose thing happens it might overwhelm episode 8 if there's more than one romance happening. So far there's been one romance per trilogy. I want it to happen full throttle in 9 and I want a happy ending too! I'd be really disappointed if they decide not to ship Reylo in this trilogy.
if they dont even hug in ep 9 imma be sad
And please!!!!!!!!! NO tragic love!! That´s not what most people want I can assure You...
Christina Carlsson that’s what I’m saying no one wants a rehash of episode 2
I am telling you if they would do this it would redeem the trilogy for me. There are great characters and both films have had good parts but the writers behind dialogue and subplots drive me a little crazy.. This would be the greatest of all time.
Definitely right about the Force connection! TLJ is full of evidence..
Yay!
I just have a feeling that they won’t be romantically involved. They will end up being cousins or brother and sister though a romance isn’t out of the picture I just don’t think it’s needed. Kylo might be redeemed but he will end up dead or seriously disfigured
15:41 HAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHA
I think Kylo knows he loves her but she doesnt but eventually she will understand and us, the shippers will done it
fail padme almost had him but obiwan walked out screwing that plan up
Back then Leia was a princess now she's a queen Han is king and Ben is prince snoke be te villian Rey is princess and Luke is a smert lawyer
I can see your reylo!
prob will be a romeo and juliet type ending where kylo will get killed off as rey will fight ren on the surface of a planet, hux would turn on kylo ala 'blow up the entire continent (with reylo on it, bwahahahahahah type turn....)' So while Ren wins the duel, he saves rey so she can get away when the mountain comes down.
Radical Roo or maybe they would just simply stop making more Star Wars
Darth Ty REY ness
REYLO iS THE TRUTH!!
Can we just mention that the way he talks to Rey is really a result of how everyone interacts around him, I mean Snoke is always being manipulative and also cruel to him. So when he is trying to persuade her to join him, any of the times, he does so to the best of his abilities and people skills. Just sayinnnnn
I still think it can be a wincest anyone with me ?....
*crickets chirp*
......
It was just a Lightsaber duel. There was no sexual tension. I kinda wanted them to be a thing but the sexual tension thing made it weird. It's almost as bad as furrys
Ok, I completely respect the Reylo fandom. But I mean I don't believe it.
Roger Doger Omg, I think you're the first person that disagrees with this without insulting the fandom. thank u
Because Star Wars is gonna have to make money somehow
Raiken Xion You claim that you know what Star Wars is all about - which begs the question, “What is it about?”
I can tell you. Star Wars is about how the actions of one individual can affect the lives of everyone, how even the purest of souls can be corrupted, and how even the vilest sinners can be redeemed by love.
C.S. Lewis said that there are four different kinds of Love:
- Storge: familial bond.
I feel like this is gonna happen but I don't like it.
Why not?
I agree! I am sure it will be done properly and I will come around to it in the end. :)

Daisy already debunked that theory and clearly said Han was not her father. She is not a Solo or a Skywalker.
And J.J. Abrams said, "Cummberbatch wasn't Khan." Who's Rey parents are is question nummero uno on fan's minds. Why try so hard to throw that very viable possibility off the table? There's only one reason. That's the answer!
Daisy already implied several times in interviews Luke is not Rey´s father. Get over it!
Ana thank you these people don't know when to quit people get over it she is not lukes daughter i thaught she was looks daughter but then i looked close and i noticed no no way she can be lukes daughter
i meant luke
No dont screw it up like Spottedleafs Heart :(
Try make 101 reasons why it doesn't make sense and created by the Boycotts.
Thanks for supporting the ship.
Lee Green oh sorry I thought you disliked it I like Kylo ren and rey
