Great review, and the most accurate speed testing I've seen on this bow. I watched another review and they came up 25 FPS slower with the same specs. Your test is right on the IBO rating. I may suggest showing the actual draw weight would be nice. I'm planning on buying this bow in the near future!
Do you have anyone in the shop that can shoot a 30” draw? Then you can check IBO speeds that are listed. You said on a 350gr arrow you got 321 fps, if you shot it at 30” you should get 331fps which is dead on what they list it at. That would make the only bow that actually comes in at listed speed.
I shot the SS34 at my local pro shop and found it very smooth and very easy to hold at full draw. I was very impressed! I currently shoot a Hoyt and was considering going to BowTech until someone mentioned to me the limb delamination problem that BowTech has had in the past. Is limb delamination still an issue for BowTech? Are these bows going to be as durable as the Hoyts?
Mike, this is not a good bow. The SS34 has serving separation issues, and NO DEALER WANTS TO TALK ABOUT IT. After firing about 100 arrows, the cams will start cutting into the strings. Bowtech is aware of this, and will probably modify their 2024 model. But a RECALL is in order for those who already paid over $1,200 for that important defect. I hope you will address this in a video.
Bowtech delivered with specs people have been asking for and actually want. they really have an awesome lineup this year covering everything.
I just bought this bow! This review set my expectations and the bow delivered. Accurate and helpful review!

Impatiently waiting for a review on the Reckoning Gen 2 36 😂 Sitting on the fence between the new Reckoning and the SS34

Interesting comparison between the Bowtech SS34 and the Mathews Phase 4 both awesome bows !
I love this bow. Actually I love the SX80 but you get it. Super smooth is right. Shooting 76-77lbs with some victory rips. Smokin.
Great video
Well they do have the sx80 which is essentially the ss34 with 80 lb limbs
Are you going to do one on the carbon one i love your reviews
How would you compare this bow to the PSE EVO XF with the EC cam.
Reflex is NOT 3 inches, it's measured from the rearmost point on the limb pocket. This bow has only about 1/4 inch of reflex.
The SX80 is the ss34 just with 80lb limbs and beefed up limb pockets and flex gaurd
Have you shot it?
Can y’all do the SX80 next?
Anyone know the reflex measurement on the ss34?

That problem has been gone for about 5 or 6 years now.
They have great limbs these days
They have this bow at 80lbs if you buy the SX 80, same bow, but with metal pockets....

Ready to watch this.... trying to decide ss34, sr350, or the bear refine
It is available in 80lbs. It’s called the SX80. Exact same bow but with 80lb limbs
