Its trash on fire, most shit happened because Lucifer is a thousands of years old retard who doesn't talk or think outside his stupid victim role. Well just like everyone else in the show they cook up their stupid opinion and cling to it until someone or something proofes it wrong.
I mean Lucifer had thousands of years in hell to think about his rebellion and punishment, even a monkey would have, after such a long time, come to the conclusion that god is not stupid enough to punish a rebel with such an important job(managing hell) and would have looked for other reasons.
I don't know about you but it was clear after the first season that beeing ruler of hell/escaping hell/meeting a woman that is resistant to his bullshit was just training to make him either a god or a better devil/angel.
In short, Lucifer is to stupid to be a believable character, esp. for someone who dealt with criminals, soziopaths and what not for a very long time.
