Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 7 & 9 GT-A Auto Transmission Radiator Upgrade.

This is my video for Automatic Evo 7, 9 GT-A and Airtrek Turbo-R transmission radiator upgrade. This installation could be separated into Stage 1 and Stage 2, where S1 is radiator upgrade only and S2 is addition of the fan as well. OEM 6 inch transmission cooler is passively cooled, so upsizing to this large 19 row 12.5 inch Setrab radiator helps a lot to reduce transmission temperatures. High transmission temps on these autos reduce their life span and speed up wear and tare on clutches and planetary gears.
I can recommend this mod to anyone who's going to abuse their GT-A, which probably going to be 90% of you. This mod is especially recommended for Evo 7 GT-A or Airtrek Turbo-R since they both got the non revised W5A51 (AWD version of F5A51) glass transmission.

Simple Thermo-Switched Harness kit.

You can easily add toggle switch to this kit but I recommend building custom harness with custom length wiring. I used black half inch wiring split loom, heat shrink and high quality electrical tape to make this all look stealthy and OEM like. Accessory pin 86 on the relay was connected to the cigarette lighter 12V connection, so that when ignition gets power, fan system gets power as well, but can only be turned on by toggle switch or thermo-switch. Thermo-switch in my case turns on at 180F or 80C, you can buy them at different temperature ranges and "on, off" points.
