New to the channel? I do Let's Play videos -- these are like walkthrough guides of gameplay with continuous English commentary trying to explain my decisions and what strategy I use. If you're looking for hacks or cheats, you're in the wrong place!
The lack of Petra doesn't sadden me. The fact you build a lumbermill next to the campus of your capital does. Your mines are boosted AND they give adjacency to districts. So go crazy with those mines!
Okay, aside from "No one expect the Spanish Barbarian Inquisition" moment, the funniest thing is Quill going on about dangers from player neighbors who could attack him, but then not renewing his friendships or securing a new friendship with Sweden. No more danger. xD
Love to see the mighty Q back to playing Civ, but agree this series feels unusually "dithery"; almost as if he's been away too long (?).
When Germany gets hit with a thousand-year flood and Quill doesn't notice.
It's enough to send 1 gold to win that aid request.
Damn that Oasis spot is looking so tempting for a Petra City right now. It isn't as good as a Petra Wonder city (I saw a place that had 2 Food, 4 Production, 2 Culture, 2 Faith), but the Oasis giving 3 food and fresh water along with a wetlands floodplanes and Gems makes for really good growth, mines pop the boarder for 2-3 boarder pops, then petra smack dab in the middle of the desert.
Voice audio is cutting out occasionally, mic might be too far away.
Played with the Tech shuffle, which led to a very interesting game also because all the techs are hidden... now it did screw me over a bit as the first government was obviously the last tech to reveal, putting me way behind. While it did lead to mostly short term tech/culture thinking, overall it led to a very interesting game... and just to note, it shuffles techs within an age AND it provides different ways these techs are linked (aka. different tree), also really cool was the way Eureka's revealed the tech on the tree even it was was 'behind' an unrevealed tech, this obviously gave some guidance on some occasions of where to research towards, and obviously it gave Eureka's a bit more functionality besides (cool some turns off of tech) ... So if there is another Civ to play from this expansion i do advice the tech shuffle for a next run!
I definitely gotta play around that at some point
The amount of trees on the map contributes to how bad global warming gets
Barbarians are good at making players think about their military. (23:23)
There's a friendly village in the bottom right under the newest city😔
Absolutely loving these vids. Need a civ 6 stream soon :-D
You should settle the tundra south of your capital.
Wouldn't Noviodunum be eligible for a +8 production Oppidum? The game didn't let him choose it, but I see no reason, besides him not owning the tile yet, why it couldnt be built in the forest bordering Mexico City.
Niels Daniel Buch this one he has to buy the tile 1st to be able to build the +6 oppidiun
it would be splendid Oppidum, yes.
I think mine (to be dismantled later) in that place would culture bomb that stone thus making it possible
oh,and at that moment city didn't own legal hex to build it on - one would have to buy tile
@@vender68 the city state has a quarry that would make it a +8
His mic is not picking up his voice sometimes.
It’s funny that the Gauls are next to Canada because you’ve got a few things in common: everyone assumes they’re more French than they really are, and they have mostly Celtic influences
You are the best civ VI UA-camr
What is the mod that shows the military and other score trackers under the player icons?
maybe it’s time to check what bonuses you are getting from Shinto ( germany spread it to most of your cities ).
It triggers me so much that he was only realizing now that mines are better than lumber mills for the Gual empire
Gaesitae are more powerful than you give them credit for.
Yeah! He's playing the Gauls tactically wrong!
I was like... wasnt the whole point of that unit to fight against stronger units for an added bonus? Smh
Quill: build all the farms
City: stagnant growth
:(
The man really gotta make sure he's got housing room, cuz he's not maximizing his growth rn
Aside from lots of Crusader Kings 3 and new Civ, will you also be uploading the backlog of Aurora and Motorsport Manager?
Last Motorsport upload was August 23, and last Aurora was August 9th.
Hey man I know how you feel. Scratch the itch and watch it on his twitch. Not the most optimal video platform but it does the trick :)
You have a god industrial zone (Oppidum) in noviodunum at +8! Still wondering why you didn't put it on...
How do you have the Gaul to play this Civ?
I hate how easy you make this game look
Inspiration is the 2nd worst card in the game to place in a wildcard slot imo, unless you need a shortterm boost to be able to snatch a specific scientist.
the game is set to run 750 turns max
the card provides a +2 bonus/turn
thats a maximum return of 1500 gpp
its not even 1 great person total, and it might be a very useless one you get (one that provides a heureka you already have; or one that provides you a "free" building - honestly not worth it!)
and the price is 1 full wildcard slot, where you could have placed urban planning instead for +7 production/turn (atm) instead!
that card is just soooo weak
Thing is, Quill has a massive hard-on, pardon my French, for science and great scientists. He will prioritize science and scientists points even with Civs that are not even remotely build for science or great people generation. Like, just about in the middle of the episode he switched out of Serfdom while having a ton of territory to improve still and at least 2 builders in production. And he switched to campus adjacency card that would really benefit one, just one campus. A few points of science are not equal to +1 build for several builders. But Quill just always goes into autopilot in his Civ games, no matter what Civ he plays. And I'm not saying this to be overly critical or anything, he's always entertaining to watch and have been for years I've been following him. But his Civ playstyle is always the same and have been since forever: prioritize science and great scientists, forget about selected Civ mechanics about half-way through every recording session, as soon as he gets to mid-game and starts warring all the management of the economy and infrastructure fly out the window and every decision gets handwaved with "it's gonna be fiiiiine". Sometimes it's hilarious to see, sometimes -- frustrating, but the entertainment is always there and that' what I'm here for.
@@NexusNoxCS Very True.
@@NexusNoxCS I started playing civ6 because Quill make it look so fun..But I think he must step up if he wants to be a good civ player..He is a great youtuber, just don't copy his playstyle,I'm sure you don't!I remember I got mad when in his last Russia game,he was going cultural victory and he was building bad industrial zones all over at turn 200..Of course he lost..But it's fine!
Quill send 1 gold to win a competition if you are the only one in it
Is there more port royale coming?

Where is port royal??

Please turn off yields
I like them.
@@mbazea4423it just spams the view. quill himself admitted there no use of them in general view, as only in city tiles management mode one can choose what to work.
