Here's a thing, he is not really motivated by material gain or popularity - he' s more into character growth and transformation. He is also very thoughtful in conversation he listens to hear not react. Wish him a long and successful career, a guy like him deserves it.

"I always think you can say more by not saying anything" very well said Travis. Ive never seen an actor who uses their expressions and body language so well hes got a very unique style of acting but its extremely effective
She is a great interviewer, and I think Travis opens up a lot more when there's not an audience, love his acting! He should have won an Emmy for his portrayal of Ragnar Lothbrok!
I like the fact that he knows what he wants and isn't tempted by the Hollywood lifestyle. Great Soul inside this man.
Why is everyone so mean about the interviewer? I think she is doing a great job. And she seems to be an easy-going person in general. Travis is pretty shy and (probably) tired almost in every interview. So what's the problem with this young lady?

Travis Fimmel seems like such a nice, reserved and soft-spoken person here, and in other interviews I've seen. What a guy to be able to consistently play a character like Ragnar.
It's true.The way he uses his physicality,rapidly changing facial expressions & strategically timed silences makes Ragnar completely fill the screen when he is in a scene.He has a rare power of presence.I wish Travis every happiness whatever life choices he makes.I'm a country lad myself.I don't like cities much either.Give me the trees & fields any day!Best of luck Travis!
Ragnar saying the Lord’s Prayer with Athelstan will remain one of the most beautifully profound scenes in the Vikings show. Definitely one of my personal favorites. I’m glad Travis chose to say this the way he did!

oh gosh!, I can't believe that Ragnar Lothbrok died. I actually liked that character. I only watched Vikings because of him, will truly miss seeing his face and those beautiful hypnotic eyes.
The actors who play his sons are yummy too, especially Alex Hogh and Alexander Ludwig....and they've both got pretty eyes!
Oh my gosh, he is so sweet and absolutely gorgeous. I'd never heard of him until Vikings. Hope to see him again someday on another show or a movie. Those eyes!

I think his main trait is not humility. Seems like he's not doing what he does for fame or becoming worldwide star, problably doing it because he does it well and not really caring about the rest of it. Even is his speech sounds reluctant, obviously he prefers a calm life.
By the way, Katheryn says that he's an extreme prankster. There's that.

Great interview, the interview was productive and I think she did great. Judgment should be reserved for people who are in the field of journalism. Some people are too harsh and judgmental when they themselves could not do better when given the chance.
I'm glad the show and its cast are getting recognition... worse case scenario, if not this year then season 3 will gather them big awards nods for 2014/2015 circuit.

whoa, he just seemed so uncomfortable being interviewed as himself I felt sorry for him. obviously he can act, portraying ragnar and bringing all that dangerous, craziness out of himself in front of the camera, but it must be exhausting. from what ive heard about tv shooting schedules, the rushes/dailies are done when they're done and you don't get to stop until they are completed. maybe the guy is always tired when he has to do these interviews, but im thinking he would just rather not do them at all..
hope he gets every every cent he asks for this acting job and is able to purchase his farm or whatever he wants. its so refreshing to know that there's at least one show business person who isn't pathologically egotistical and can tolerate more than a few seconds of not talking about himself...unlike most of the 'celebrities' in Hollywood.

He said to one of his co stars in an interview once that some people prefer tp do their job and get off camera i dont think he likes having to do interviews and cut him some slack he is the lead in a show television schedules are hectic not mention shooting 12hours and having to go do interviews come on who wouldnt be overun

Travis is not even in the realm for that success as heath ledger he don't even want his fame on that level if so he would have been blown up but he stays very low key and quiet he even got into modeling just for money they discovered him but with no care of that success that's why he quit he never liked that attention so travis will be is fine but any way hes very gorgeous beautiful eyes and smile not to mention a well grounded man.

Brad Pit... there is alot of them... who simply hate public speaking, and alot of us irl , Just cuz someone got a job as an actor, doesnt mean the love the circuit tours. .Too bad Johnny Carson isnt still around, he made everyone feel at ease. James Lipton, ever notice his guests? They are all panic striken, the ones who NEVER do talk shows... he puts them at ease.. and by end of show, they almost always say 'this was alright!.. i wasnt sure i could do this'.. hehe

The problem with this interview is that she keeps saying uhm hum when he answers a question and it's very annoying and makes it hard to watch. He is over it and not interested in doing the interview so those 2 factors, her constant uhm hum and the fact that he is damn near dead in this interview. Horrific.
