The water dropping made the fishing extra tough for the bank beaters.. our jig bite died and we shook them off never stuck one on Friday but would not touch it Saturday. Great week caught some nice fish earlier in the week.
The anglers also get hurt because all the big top lakes are hammered by the pro tournaments almost every weekend. When the weekend fisherman gets to fish a top lake it is overcrowded or just got hammered.
I fish with ish when he was a teenager's the same draw tournaments that I was fishing I pretty much always let him have the front of the boat very fine young man now that he's out here in California again I run into him every once in awhile

Thanks for having Ish on. My favorite memory of him is from the Battle on the Border back in either 06 or 07 at lake Amistad. Ish was sight fishing and just cracking them for the win. I hope he gets through next year and requalifies for the elites. Hopefully I will be at the weighin for the ABT100 on Wedowee in Jan. It is all of 12 miles or so from my house. Fish it about twice a week. Hope one of y’all puts a good buck down this week. Finally , Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. Enjoy the time together because they grow up too fast.

Luke I have said this a thousand times on money in tournaments.. I can say it cause it's what I do 1. sponsorship is key to the industry 2. fact 20 years ago why did flw pay out more??? " sponsorship " and from out side of the industry is key.whyit did 3. sample billboard charges around 35,000 a year for a local sign avg. say that sign on i20 are i40 and on average its gets around 8000 views a week one way.. ok on a truck boat wrap gets around probably 6000 a week but not local. if your a company that is all over I rather spend my " we call it tax write offs lol lol " on the wraps. someone needs to use the data on wraps and show large comp. that why spend it on wraps. walmart to shell to shoot even home depot Lowes so on so on trust me they rather spend it than tax it trust me I say this for the million time until they go outside of industry show data on all they never pay great money on tournaments fact no pro who earn it should have to worry about gas money are sleep at boat ramp unless u want to but companies want data show numbers u will win
Confidence is not lacking with Ish, he's not thinking if he makes the Elites he's basically saying the 1 year on the opens won't matter when he's on the Elites the next year.

And weee teaching our kids it’s ok to be mediocre and giving participation trophies. My son knows mediocre is just that and to strive to be the best in whatever he does. And he went out and beat a junior to make the varsity wrestling team as a freshman 💪🏻

@@ClayWilliamson he might be big fish ish but he can catch them when it counts, he's from the west coast so he has everything in his arsenal he just chooses to fish with big lures and big baits because of the format, and that's what gets him paid at the end of the day... These days you never know how these fisheries will turn out... You just have to adapt...
